Pages take more time than usual

I have experienced this also a couple of times. When I open Altcoinstalks, it will delay abnormal to respond. I'll try some few other sites and they work smoothly, I'll simply walk away and return later and it will work. It happens to me mostly in the afternoon, that's why I now use here mostly at night. But it wasn't so when I was newly teleported.

What browser are you using, did you try to access the forum from different browser? Sometimes its just a browser's cache and cookie problems only if the internet connection is not a problem. Now thinking about that time range only  (afternoon) maybe it's forum issue. But so far in my part, i never experienced it, of course i'm not online most of the time here only 2-4 hours.

Chrome on clear net. I didn't actually try other browsers but it seems the problem didn't persist after that period of time. This particular post I'm sending now is at 13:34 (afternoon) and it worked very fine to submit it.

I want to keep this thread open because I'm curious why only altcoinstalk because I never had any problem with bitcointalk, so that rules out my ISP is restricting crypto sites.

The problem is somewhere between you, that is, your ISP and this forum, because we can assume that your route to this forum and to BTT are not the same. There were cases when individual BTT users had problems exactly like the one you experienced recently, and the admin then advised those users to send him Traceroute logs that can reveal where the problem actually occurs.

If you use Windows, then you can easily do this test yourself because it is a tool that is included in the OS. Next time (if you have a problem) you can try to do this test, and then contact the admin with the results (although I'm not sure he can help).

Thanks for this I might try, and just to see where's the problem and also I'll PM admin the logs to see if he can help.

Luckily I'm a windows user when it comes to PC so yeah that works too.

Now currently I am accessing the site without VPN and works fine so the problem is intermittent and hope it wears off or unless I have to use VPN more often.

Did you ever think of updating your browser to most recent one??
Yes most at times it could be browser issues like to update it to the newer version and features whenever I am experiencing this within my browser all I does it to completely update most of my application that I sense not to be that smoothly functioning because, in most app they function effectively when you updates your app on regular basis. where I do have such experience is on Binance app, whenever I am passing too much difficulty to access it I would just have to update the app and it will open automatically.

Well, looking at the date you posted this which is on the 26th of September, i try to think back to remember if there was any day I had any issues with loading speed on this forum during the week, and I can't recall of any of such experience.

What I do have to say is that, there are really some days when our ISP network is general a bit slow, in such times, it might possibly seem to us like it's the fault of the site for taking longer to load, not knowing the issue is really from our own end.

But on the other hand as well, In days when there is a lot of traffic on the forum, loading may likely slow a bit down for some or most users, specially those with not so strong ISP, this is very normal and site's should return back to normal as soon as the traffic reduces.

could it be traced back to the activities in the forum? like if there’s too many using it or trying to access it at a specific time it lags for other people? because i do not experience anything like this both with chrome or safari platforms either way it’s smooth and easy to access

admin would have clarified the issue here. Though the problem occurred once a while I have also faced such issue. Nothing was working concerning the forum but Facebook and Google Search were working fine and that was to say everything was good but forum was not loading. And I believed the connectivity from the forum server got that internet break to the weak internet locations. Just guesting.

I think this is a common occurrence with the forum here, sometimes i do find it more difficult to load the website, but all i could think in some cases was if that same challenges was coming form my own side or not, but also, i do make sure that i reload to see where the problem lies, then to later discover that there is more to know about the routine maintenance that might be going on here occasionally.

Sometimes I find it unusual but it is my provider to blame when the pages are loading unusually and very slow. I think it is a good idea to have the forum have its own status page where we can see if the forum is experiencing some network issues just like what the exchanges have. Sort of status.altcoinstalks.com to see if the confirmation that the forum is running smoothly. Overall, I have no issues and it's always my device and network that makes things harder to load the pages, sometimes unstable.

If you guys are using clearnet and then complaining that the pages are loading slow, then think again. I have been accessing this site using Tor and so with that, it's really slow but I don't mind it at all. There were times that I will left my pc for let's say 20 minutes and then my browser will not be responding so I have to go logout or close my browser and then use Tor again.

So for me it's just a normal thing to see that the pages are loading very slow. Just try it yourself and see how it goes or if you have the patience to use Tor, just saying.

I have been here for almost a year now, and I often see pages not loading or loading too slowly. It gets fixed when I close the browser and start it again. Or If I switch the internet and refresh the page.

There's nothing wrong with the internet speed, it's just fast as it should be and it's good enough to stream multiple 4K streaming with no buffering so the speed is not the problem but somehow ISP is restricting the access to the site which I found I no longer have this error when I connect to VPN so don't really know the exact reason of restricting from ISP but it's no longer with VPN so I suggest you to try the same if you no issue with speed but still facing loading error.

I don't think ISPs reduce the internet speed for some specific websites. In my country, if they block a Website, you cannot access it anymore without using a VPN. ISP in my country usually block casinos and porn websites only. I haven't seen them blocking any forums or crypto-related websites even though cryptocurrency is banned in my country.

As I said, I do not face this issue every day. It happens sometimes and it's been happening for almost a year now. I believe it is related to the hosting service. This happened in both of my devices and with the both home and shop internet. So, I guess it's not related to my ISP.

To solve it you just have to change the circuit, you can do it by clicking on this icon , you will find it to the left of the padlock, where you write the URLs.

Thanks for the tip, yeah I did click on that and it seems it looks for another circuit. But the speed is minimal though. But in any case, I still find even if it is slow or even if I need to log out again and then re-login. 



That's why I don't complain about the speed, I getting used to it. Sometimes I got frustrated, but that is part of the settings that I want to, to be private.
