What's your primary OS for crypto?

Unfortunately i don't have a hardware wallet which would be the best choice in terms of security, i use coinomi and trust wallets on both Windows and Android.

For now, I only make use of my Android phone for almost all crypto related stuffs for the sake of it's high mobility and my kind of work, though I also make use of my PC which uses Windows OS but all of my crypto related accounts on my PC are also on my Android phone.
Sometimes for the reason of trading and Bounty, I make use of my PC at my convenience because of its wide view but in all I'll vote for my Android because I use it more often and more consistently.

I do have an android phone, but I rarely ever use it for any crypto reasons, I just use it for basic phone stuff, like reels and such. I use my computer for anything crypto related. I used Linux for a short period in my life, which I didn't even install, a friend of mine who knew these did it because my PC was incredibly old before I got this one, I had a very very terrible laptop that barely worked, he installed Linux to save some time and thankfully for some reason it helped me for some months, maybe like half a year. But now I have a decent PC, definitely a good one, and it helps me with all my crypto stuff and its windows.

Ideally yes, hardware wallet, as a wallet that is more recommended and also safer for storing our crypto assets, especially in the long term, and the assets we have are quite a lot, then we should have a hardware wallet. It's just that as You said, not everyone can do it, not because they don't have money but because they don't want to bother sending it back and forth. especially for small investors, we sometimes do trading, so if it's in a hardware wallet, it might take a little time.

Also what operating system do you use for looking at / using crypto related stuff in general

I/m using and familiar only with windows usage so far in my devices and also some in my mobile phone so that I can control and monitor the assetss easily everywhere I clik it in android.

Linux is quite decent too. You should try it especially if your workflow doesn't include exclusive Windows apps. I use Windows regularly for gaming because my games don't support Linux even with Wine or other emulators.

I used to do that in the past, and I don't think it's as slow as some people expected. I guess it depends on the setup, but inputting a PIN/password every time I make a transaction is not time-consuming IMO. I think the trade-off is worth it.

It's amazing how a good computer or laptop, with an up-to-date operational system, can help you do everything you need to do, saving you time and giving you more resources to take part in more projects and be able to study/work

Those who only have access to an older cell phone have to spend a lot of time doing simple tasks that would be easy on a PC or laptop
Even here on the forum, using a cell phone is quite difficult when you need to quote someone or post an image

Yeah, it's just less convenient, generally, for everybody.
The laptop is an eye-saver, in my opinion, and it's useful for more tasks.

I am using various Linux distributions for over 20 years. I only used Windows for some games, although I haven't had time to play games in a while, so I only use Linux. I've never found Windows to be a secure enough operating system to use for certain things, and Android has more holes than a spaghetti strainer. Before some of you tell me that Apple's operating systems are based on Unix-like systems, I will tell you that yes, you are right, but my answer is that they are proprietary code, which is why I always rule out Apple's operating systems.

I agree Windows feels not secure enough, although they make some improvement by introducing Windows Defender and UAC. Although for Android, IMO it's secure enough assuming you pay attention to permission and receive OS/security update.

Also what operating system do you use for looking at / using crypto related stuff in general. Would be interesting to see if there is a derivation from the usual "80% Windows - 17% Mac, 3% Linux" sort of proportions that tell the market shares for normal users.

          -      Windows is also what I use most, because I feel more comfortable when I use it, then the android when I'm outside or somewhere else I use it. But when I bring a laptop, it's still more on desktop of course as long as possible.

Now when it comes to wallets, it's electrum on desktop and on android, then on altcoins, it's bluewallets, Trust wallet, and Bitget wallet and Okx wallet.
I don't use the rest here either.

As a windows user, I found it very difficult to do things on the system and I couldn't get used to it, so I had to go back to windows
Nowadays, Windows with its own antivirus is very secure, and if you're careful, you can prevent everything, you can use a antivirus too, like eset or kaspersky, and they will help you

A few simple practices will keep you out of problem in any OS
Always keep it up to date, don't install anything cracked or not from official sources, use a hardwallet and don't save passwords on your PC

These alone will keep you out of trouble

So by both votes and comments, Android wins, and I'm pretty sure the margins in the actual real world are even higher, way to many people use their smartphones for everything, and fewer desktops and even laptops are sometimes replaced with tablets. But I think that the worst part in this would be that the people who actually store their coins on their own devices are a minority compared to the ones keeping funds on CEXes.

It is true that the learning curve can be more complicated depending on certain parameters, but as a general rule you can do exactly the same things, unless they require additional and exclusive hardware for example. As a Linux and BSD user I have never had a problem in this regard, not even with some games. But it really all depends on the time we dedicate to studying and delving into the operating system that we want to learn to use.

It's not that inconvenient but hardware wallet providers can do better in that regard. For example, keypad like mobile would be better than scrolling numbers through 2 buttons given — this is with ledger nano S, I don't know about other HW wallets.

My primary OS for crypto is Android OS, because I'm often and always with my mobile device. Reason for this is because of the flexible nature and easy to access feature.

Because it is a store of value for me, I make sure the use of it by other people is limited and controlled.
Though, not many of the people I associate with are crypto users or lovers.

I am trying to move to Windows OS, for my trading and other crypto related activities. Apart from Windows OS and Android OS, I'm a noob to other operating system.
