its not gonna be hard for Trump to established that Bitcoin strategic reserve if he got the lawmakers wanting to solve that $35T debt. who wouldn't want that to happen while dissolving debts from China?

What debt to China?
China owns only $749.0 billion in US bonds, which is peanuts, people really need to understand that that massive debt is a debt to themselves, 7 trillion of it so 10 times more than what China holds is simply intergovernmental debt, so to make it easier one state owns money to the fed and one city owns money to the state.
That's why nobody really cares about that debt other than tinfoil hatters and conspiracy lovers!

of course they care. 35T national debt?  they even plan raise debt ceiling. money guys are always updated to this kind of news. remember that they are saying to the public that they are going to have a soft landing but seeing they are raising rates? that's obviously not the case if they raise rates for 4 years. more and more are becoming homeless while the government is sending trillions because they funding both sides in this unwinnable war. but we are not surprise.

I cannot tell you whom to trust or believe, for me i do not believe most of what Trump has been saying in his campaigns concerning BTC, i think it is just a way to win over the BTC community to his side and i think he succeeded in doing that and i am sure a lot of bitcoiners will vote for him for this reason. The election is so close now, so maybe there is no need to debate anymore, just wait and see.

For these politicians, the quote "Promises are made to be broken" is a perfect fit for them.
I really don't want to generalize all politicians because there are still politicians out there that are working pretty well without any corruption whatsoever. It's just that, we have this stigma where we don't want to think too much about their promises because most of them broke their promises as they won the election.

As for Trump, and these politicians, let's be happy if they will make promises with regards to cryptocurrency, but also don't think too much about it because there's a chance that they might not even fulfill their promises for various reasons. Believe them, but don't expect too much about it.

Generally speaking, politicians can not and should not be 100% trusted with their plans and promises especially in the election season but because it is Trump who has a clearer stand and the first one to offer his vision on what he would be doing with the cryptocurrency industry once elected, he has more of an edge compared to Harris. Remember that Harris is the current VP of Biden, she is part and parcel of this administration which is not really so friendly with the crypto industry, as personified by SEC chair Gary Gensler. Now, this brings us to the next question: would you prefer a politician that has plans and promises or one who has nothing to say really good?

It sounds like former US president, mr Donald Trump is certain about his bold promises about his cryptocurrency support. Through out his campaign rally, and many of his  speeches, he had assured the crypto community about his commitment to the developments especially making the US the center of crypto mining hub of the world, and that every American citizen has the right to self custody of their digital assets etc.
However, I think that politicians all over the world will always use fare speeches to lure voters.

We have seen Trump issue NFTs and use BTC for payments, these are practical actions that make us believe that Trump understands crypto and supports crypto. Trump did not support BTC when he was in office but now he understands that BTC can help make America great again ^^

I cannot be sure what Trump will do after being elected, I just hope that he will fulfill his promises so as not to face a wave of criticism from the crypto community. Pressure from ourselves will push Trump to fulfill his promises during the campaign period.

And you talk about how bad the US economy is doing and how they are, what, raising the rates? The US just cut the rates, it's Russia who has raised them to 21%, that is 4 times bigger than the highest US rates were. 

And again you fail to understand the basics, the US government holds through intergovernmental debt 10 times more than China does! Educate yourself:

I don't know if the thread title is a joke, rhetoric or a serious question... I believe that the history of nations has taught us that no, we cannot trust politicians. They will do and say anything for the sole purpose of being elected. That Trump has promised to create a Bitcoin hub in the United States and that the remaining Bitcoins are mined there, only points to the million (approximately) voters and cryptocurrency users in the country. Also, as I said in another of my posts, Trump said not long ago that Bitcoin was nothing more than a scam and a threat to the dollar.

Trump knows absolutely nothing about cryptocurrencies, as demonstrated by the video in a bar where someone had to transfer Bitcoin since Trump did not know how to do it.

History suggests that they cannot be trusted, but the same history has proven that Trump does well with crypto. I don't know if this helps.

History has also shown that Trump cannot even keep the promises he wants to deliver on, so if you are going to base investment advice on his policies then proceed with caution.

I never said i was expecting anything, i have always said i don't believe politicians can do much for the benefit of a decentralized network like BTC. However, some people tend to disagree, and nobody can deny them of their opinion, if they truly believe Trump will make a difference, they can only wait now.

In fact, politicians could do a lot for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, if they really wanted to. They could allow the use of cryptocurrencies as payments in those establishments that wish to do so, they could allow a lower electricity bill for miners, they could lower the percentage of taxes that must be paid... There are many ideas that could be applied. But in reality nothing matters if politicians do not have a real will to do things to improve the lives of citizens.

If there's any set of people who should not be trusted with their words is politicians because over time they have shown that they can't be trusted with their words and promise's because they only use them during campaigns to get their support and get their vote so they can win election but concerning trump and his promises to the American crypto community I think he is going to fulfill them because he mean what he promised and people should give him that benefits of doubt and wait for him to implement his promises to the people especially when it comes to crypto again we should know that the American society is an enlightened society so if trump don't do as he said during the campaigns he will be doing it at the risk of his party in the next election season that will come up after his second tenure
