I am sure many people gained a lot worth of money while playing in this very exciting cryptocurrency industry where huge opportunities and big risks collide...sometimes doing us some favor and sometimes also taking something from us. Through the years, I have had been exposed to scams, frauds and mistakes that in retrospect could have already made me rich at least in my country's standard. In my estimated, I think I lost at least $300K mostly in terms of potential earnings primarily because I let go of my 2 Bitcoin maybe around 5 years ago and made many mistakes (including getting into bad programs and projects) that cost me good amount of coins and tokens along the way.
Well, $300K is a huge amount, but luckily it's just an estimate, not the actual capital you brought into this market. Speaking of that amount, I've also lost quite a bit, having missed many opportunities to take profits at the peak, only to end up cutting losses @@
I used to have about 1.5 ETH in 2017, when they were only worth about $1.5K, but sadly, my account was hacked by a professional scammer, a once-famous KOL in the crypto community. If I had kept those ETH, they'd be worth $3K now, and could have helped me buy a lot of electronic equipment for my work.
I also had quite a few CMT from the CyberMiles airdrop, but unfortunately, that project failed. If I had sold those tokens in time, I might have had a few hundred $ more to DCA BTC during the 2018-2019 crypto winter. At least, even if I couldn't get rich, I wouldn't have lost money compared to the capital I invested in this market since 2017.
