Like I mean both the voting entries and the discussions about it because since this is going to actually be the first contest of it's kind, there will be suggestions and other discussions along the way and mixing it up with the voting may likely turn out messy. I think babo should create a new thread hosting it formally

Last night Mixero management and I had a discussion about this event and the Mixero management wants to appreciate the type of initiatives and events from altcoinstalks members. As a gesture of good will, they agree to sponsor the event.

Thanks to Royse and mixero once again. However to spice up and support the awards event I'll be making a free banner for the contest . Feel free to PM me here or @Mia_vic on telegram Royse once the mixero team has decided and is ready.

Hey, what about if the admin sponsored the event with ALT tokens? Maybe 100 usd in alt tokens is a good idea.

I never claimed my alt tokens, i don't know exactly how it works but sounds a good idea to me.

No, as you can see when reading the title, here we talk about the categories, although we end up talking about other things.

The reward is for the winner or winners so they can support the event with any amount they can to improve participation in the forum. As a company $100 to $1,000 to s good and if it is na individual then $10 to $500 is also good. That is my humble suggestion. And I also appreciate your effort on this event for discussing with the team to support the event. Thanks.

yes, everyone can vote as they prefer but above all you can propose categories and then I add them to the poll
I took the ones that might be the prettiest
let's consider that it's the first year, then we can do better next year

It would be nice if we have something unique to AltcoinsTalks forum, to make it different from Bitcointalk forum.

I don`t think karma award is a good idea imo.
Let users give karma to the winner if they wish... That is my  suggestion.

Yeah, a great problem in the karma system in my opinion.

Transparency for karma transactions is a must.

Additionally, everyone will give + karma for the winner, competitors and the organizer of the event... I really don't see why giving some karma bombs would do any good other than just give even more status to the winner of the contest (which will already receive a lot of attention badges prize etc)

I would like to ask the community what will be a good amount to inspire everyone to be a part of this event and support the forum to its success for this event.

I don't want to mention any amount as I don't know how many categories we will have finally and how many winners will be picked from each category. If there are three categories and each category has three winners, then these breakdowns may work,

1st: $200
2nd $150
3rd: $100

Total: $450 for one category. So, $1350 will be for three categories. Now, it is up to the community to decide how many categories they want and how many winners they will have from each category. The winning amount could be changed based on that. That is just my suggestions.

I would only suggest more prizes, even smaller ones so that more members are included in the contest. And of course, enough time so that most users could be informed about the contest and possibly participate.

Great idea. The more people will get some prize and positive attention, the more positive emotions will be with this award. More prizes, even smaller ones is an idea I'd supported.

I would agree here that it would be good to give some uniqueness to this contest. Given that it is a much smaller community (compared to Btt), one can already see which members can enter the shortlist in any category.
In accordance with the affirmation of the forum and better participation here, why not have a category for the most useful posts or things that have helped users the most...

We already have proposition for forum Geek, Ninja and Hero, but I think it is good to have category Best Project will motivate people to create new projects and update old ones.
I would also try to avoid giving same member multiple rewards, in case he wins most votes in more than one category.

Certainly PX-Z is going to get it, as he made the telegram notification bot, which basically everyone use it!

I am talking about any services related with AltcoinsTalks forum, and member will decide what is the best project for them.
This can be bots, third party websites, coins/tokens, exchanges, or something to improve usability of the forum, for example with usercripts.
I don't follow everything that is happening in forum, so I don't know everything about projects.
