You can hold Bitcoin for years, travel to any part of the country, even if you leave this earth to another planet and come back, your Bitcoin will remain safe as long as you have access to your private key. People think that Bitcoin is this and that, I guess many of them have not tried to hold gold bars before that's why they complain about Bitcoin.

You can't hold $1 million worth of Bitcoin and feel threaten unless you tell the public that you have such an amount but you can't do that with gold, you will get rob on a day light and it can't be trace because it can be melted into another form.

I think they will learn how to use it by themselves since the adoption of crypto if getting easier for newer generations. Its not like there is no GUI for the apps we have today. By the time we get old, their phones are build differently where they  can install wallets also.

Its logical to give assets to the loves ones we have.  Giving these assets to your children and grandchildren makes sense. I think they will remember you being the one who give them something to start with.

That's also true. When they hear stories about you having some BTC in the early days of BTC and then you are active in the community. They will really ask whether you have left something.

Sad part about this question is that if a person have not said a word where his coins because he just keep them in your wallet and just die without saying a word about it. Hence there was a thread about how a Bitcoiner can make them inherit his BTC.

Just like most people are saying, I think it better to educate your immediate family or lover ones everything about cryptocurrency. It better to look out among the family members to teach them because it will not be proper to handle crypto assets to a novis or unlearn persons in the family.
As for me, I will always educate family members to see those that are interested, then at the most appropriate time i will transfer my asset among them that understand and are interested to continue from where I stoped.

Thank you for your interesting perspective, it's actually very simple and should be applied to investors who focus on profits rather than pursuing other values related to technology or expecting perpetual price increases over time. I agree, really logical and our loved ones would be our first priority if we have another beneficiaries like donating to a charity or what. I know majority of us will give our Bitcoin assets to our family members because they are always there in bad times and in good times.

Accumulating such amount of money in Bitcoin at such age... It's wonderful...
On my own point of view, age 50 is still an early age... If one has concluded training his children to the level of independence, then that amount of 1BTC can just be used as a personal pension fund... All reasons of working should be forgotten and you just have to enjoy your life with the fruit of your patience before death.
Probably go round different countries for vacation to chill. But the major view is to stop anything related to working, just retire yourself.

If the money is still too huge to finish before death, then you can will the remaining as an inheritance to your child/children as the case may be. It only takes the children inheriting it to do whatever they want either to distribute it as a freewill or charity gift to the less privilege or probably invest it or even continue accumulating more from where you (the owner) stopped.

I makes me always wonder how the family is going to act when they get seed phrase and passwords from crypto wallets. Leaving them all that is not enough. A person should also think about instructions and better teach and check if they are able to use the info they will be given. And I even wonder more what family is going to do with crypto. Keep on holding, sell immediately? Or become traders? A person should also be ready to give "entrance to crypto" info.
