As a matter of fact, I have done that more than once. I will achieve profit in the short and long term, Kucoin offers me the possibility of staking and earning, the main thing is buying and selling. I believe in a very good result of that.

once you have profited from the altcoins you sold for BTC, would you buy back your altcoins in order to profit also when altcoin season come?

just another question since we have sold our altcoins and i'm thinking when altcoin season come and BTC will be stagnant for awhile, we may feel the opposite after that happens. will we be seeing ourselves again in such dilemma where buying altcoins will be the next move?

It is just a business world and people would prefer making a profit if the opportunity avails itself. I believe a sharp trader would immediately sell off to get in and take a profit because of the market situation and also they would do the same if bitcoin is up. Everyone's motive is to take profit from the system and when it surfaces, they do that immediately because they would still buy bitcoin back with the profit gotten from the altcoin sales since the bitcoin market is stagnant at that period.

Few years ago, I honestly regreted that I didn't sell some of my shitcoins faster, now they become dead coins already. If I sold the random altcoins at that time, and keep the top altcoins only. I've the funds to buy more Bitcoin. However, this is a good lesson, never trust on random altcoins! Just keep holding those top altcoins only...

There are some altcoins which have reached their new ATH. BNB, SOL, SUI, TON, and PEPE are some of the examples. But there are still many altcoins which haven't reached their ATH. Well, Bitcoin has reached its ATH several times. According to CMC, the latest ATH was around $109,114. It doesn't reach $110k yet, but people believe it must cross $110k in the near future.

So it's only logical if others have sold their altcoins->bitcoin and they could be in profits already.
But if they haven't though, still have chance for them to make that right decision.

If you look at the current condition on crypto market, it doesn't really make sense to sell even the altcoins. The prices of crypto coins are declining a lot, selling now will get big losses. The right decision for now is to wait for the next pump. At least, we don't need to sell for losses.

It should not be questioned that every investment decision is certainly based on previously prepared goals and strategies. This is due to few of us attaining the desired goal, hence exiting from it by selling and the others who are still hoping for a bigger opportunity to reap huge profits. Of course, mobile development of the provided crypto assets is fascinating every time a token rises to the peak. Those who are still holding the hope to is certain to see the positive continuations of the trend while those who have sold must have done so in accordance to the laid down plan. I did but that needs to be thought of for so many times.  I did it a couple of times and didn't do good for me, so instead of making some money, I've lose more. if you want to have more BTC, use some of those money that's spare to you or just decide if you are okay releasing those altcoins and you'll never look for them again whatever happens. So, to see with it, all you have t do is to think whether it will be a good decision and whatever happens, you'll be fine with that decision.

You held onto your alts for 2 years, that's huge timeframe, as I invested in alts few months ago and if I were you, I would never be invested in alts instead I would be investing in BTC only just to be on the safer place. As I could have made 3x easily if I would have entered 2 years ago CMIIW.

I also think the wait for alts to pump is not frustrating me, and testing my patience, as I also saw my portfolio just yesterday and I am not in rest with it, as I am in huge lose due to many alts. Still, I don't want to sell my alts now, because I am in lose, and selling now would make me a big dump dude, I should wait for the market recovery which I think is expected but we should be prepare for another situation if it won't then I think I will exit the market with the money I had now, and won't even invest in BTC at the current price too.

The risk is when the altcoin you sold burst its price after it. I blamed my bad decision when I sold my XRP and in just few months the price went almost $4. I should have investigated the team's plan before selling.

The frustrating part of holding altcoin is that it can take too long before we see result while with BTC, you can just keep trading while the price is just moving up and down. Accepting the risk of losing in trading makes me think its worth doing than losing money while holding.

My major holding are on Bitcoin, so the little altcoins I have in possession will remain there and I'll buy more altcoins that has good potentials. On the market rise and drops, I sell off some fractions of my Bitcoin to stable USDT when the price gets to some highs, and when the price gets to some lows, I buy.

As Bitcoin has it's tremendous value,  altcoins also have their values in most cases.

I have been, but with the recent trends, I would like to trade it more actively. It's more about the part where you would be better off buying altcoins instead of BTC, and then once you do that, just build a BTC portfolio with the profit you earned. I think it could come from the profits or just allot a percentage of your holdings.
