Well, when I talk about jobs, I intentionally mention cryptocurrency as one of the opportunities to earn money... but the few times I talk about it with people who don't understand cryptocurrency, it just confuses them...

I have no intention of attracting them to become a crypto community or crypto investor, I just want to explain about cryptocurrency, about our side jobs that actually make money and can be used to meet needs...

So, what if your friend asks you "what is cryptocurrency? and how does it work to make money?"
I guess most times, what people want is like an evidence of what's working. If they have no working evidence, they might not feel interested enough and may even think that you want to scam them of their money. So for me, I don't actually bother my self that much trying to convince anyone into the crypto space. My reason be that, crypto is risky and you might be held responsible for some losses if they literally don't understand how crypto works.

You are right if people do not see clear examples of how crypto works and that it is not fake they will probably not believe it and that is fair. There are much of scam stories online and price of crypto can change very quickly which can be scary.

It is smart idea that you do not try hard to get people to join crypto world. This way you respect what they think and you do not have to worry if they lose money because they did not understand it. It is much better if people become interested on their own maybe by seeing someone they trust doing it or by looking into it themselves.

Best way is to just talk about what you have done and good things that have happened with your crypto side jobs without pushing others to join. If people see that it is working for you and they get curious they might ask you more questions. Then you can share what you know carefully but always make sure to tell them that there are risks.

well I just go like, do you know Binance they mostly know that CEX, then I start from there haha
It's simple but I think it's good introduction since many people knows already about Binance. But for me, I will talk about Bitcoin because I think people around the world knows Bitcoin but doesn't how it really works. Since the main focus of the people to get interest into something is to let them know how we can make money with Bitcoin. I will just tell them what I makes me get interested in Bitcoin, and then if the conversation is good I will gradually expand it to cryptocurrencies.

I don't make it a must to introduce bitcoin to people only if you're close to me and you want to know. It's very difficult dealing with skeptical people, and all your efforts to make them understand why they need to invest in bitcoin will be in vain. It's only a matter of time for those ignorant ones to regret their stubbornness.

I don't have any free time at this moment to explain it to my friends. I would simply give them enough links and resources to learn on their own or just refer the both forums {altcoinstalks and bitcoinstalk). If they gets stuck somewhere then that's fine. I might be able to help them. But as for explaining Cryptocurrency, I am not in any position right now. The internet, google, youtube is filled with enough content related to crypto, where they have better explanations, so I don't think my explanation is needed.

Yes, belief is about personal conviction but it is not necessarily for one person to agree with the other at any given time. There are those who are very close minded then one day they are changed after a certain incidence. Therefore, I have come to realize that skepticism is actually not a serious issue in the practice of complementary and alternative medicine. Unfortunately, as far as I am concerned, it is part of the process that happens naturally. Quite often, the collapse of the old naïve system makes people ready to adopt the new wisdom system. But instead of being angry, one should keep mum and move on in life as it happens all the time. Sometimes by doing what you want people to do and not saying a word is better than telling someone a thousand times.

Even if they know the cex, I put risk among the first thing I gave them as warning. People loves to see money but they are not prepared for the worst and when that comes, they blame you for not giving them insight of the things that is happening. Risk must be well explained and if they can embrace it or not so they don't blame me later.

Another thing is I tell them the risk associated with holding coins on exchange. I know it's the general practice but it's not the safest way to deal with managing of asset. Self custody of crypto is the best and shouldn't be taken for granted.

Exactly, this is something that is very important to tell those who are new to the crypto world. Because, I often hear that these newbies have very high hopes and beliefs to change their fate for the better. but they don't even understand that crypto also has a big risk of loss.

what happens is that they don't prepare themselves well. because, the risk in crypto is not only losing money when the price drops, but also because of fake investments, hacked wallets, phishing links, and so on.

so that when you want to enter the crypto world, at least we have to provide some complete information that they must learn. we have already explained it clearly, for more details they should want to study it again. But if they still take it lightly and don't care about it, then that's it, it means it's their choice to take the risks.

There is a really cool way to convince your friend/relative/girlfriend/boyfriend to get introduced to bitcoin as a whole, has anyone ever thought about giving a hardware wallet as a gift? Would you be brave enough to spend around $100 - $200? The person might like the gift because it is a reasonably expensive electronic and start investing time in it.

So, what if your friend asks you "what is cryptocurrency? and how does it work to make money?"

It depends whether they ask it in casual or serious manner. At bare minimum, i would say
1. Cryptocurrency is a kind of digital money/currency that isn't controlled by government.
2. Just like fiat, you can make money on cryptocurrency by doing a job.

Very short and simple explanation, but its very for some people to understand this basic explanation, they will still want you to go more in details, but no matter how you explain it to them, some people won't still understand it and some people won't still be able to be part of crypto community, because they might see it as a means of scamming or fraud them.
But whichever way it is, not everyone will be a part of crypto or not everyone will find it interesting to know more about it.

That could only be a good idea if you already know that the person you are giving the gift to is already interested in cryptocurrencies and that they have plans on investing in them in the near future, otherwise, it could be a total waste of money if they don't have any interest in it and the gift you give them will be totally useless for them. One should observe a person to confirm whether they are generally interested in cryptocurrencies or investing in them and then they should decide what they should do about it.

For me, I wouldn't start discussing things that are of my interest with someone whom I don't know if they have any interest in them or not. It's a habit, or you could call it a skill that makes conversations easier when you are with someone because if you only talk about things that you know the other person is interested in, you won't bore them or make them talk about things that they don't like.

Actually I also have some experience, most people who don't know about crypto feel it’s either too complicated or just some form of scam.  Whenever someone asks me what it is? I just reply to them that  it’s a  digital money that isn’t regulated by banks and that people may earn from it in numerous ways including trading, holding, or even, performing jobs for crypto payments.
