Friendship does not look at gender, when you are compatible and on the same page, usually you complement each other to help each other if a problem occurs, then there is never a problem with how our friendship will form, but it is important to remember that there are boundaries that must be applied within ourselves so as not to disappoint each other in the future, maintain feelings if our friends are of the opposite sex and maintain attitudes towards treatment

And it going to cause conflict between them(the couples) and it may lead to separation. What's the point of marrying the person if he or she is not worthy to to be your best friend. If you are a man and you have a female bestie, they must be some positive characteristics that she poses before you consider her as your best friend, if you think she worthy to be your best friend, then the best thing is to make her your wife, no need to bring another woman into the picture as a wife, because that is going to be a great disaster. Yeah, it does not make any sense to me, even if you were friends before you got married or got into a serious relationship, you have to limit the relationship, you may not necessarily have to cut your friend off, but you can limit the closeness. Nobody will be happy if their partner has a very close friend.

you guys said it yourself that as long as there’s limit it’s fine i think it is weirder to not be able to maintain a relationship with the opposite sex without the threat of cheating friends can remain friends if you guys are clear with what your limits are with each other but it’s your lives and you can do whatever you want with it so whatever is comfortable the most to you and your partner

It does. It's not like one finds every opposite sex person sexually attractive, if there is no sexual attraction between the two then they can remain as bestfriend, and I don't see how it'll be different than same sex bestfriend.

Okay lets say there's no sexaul attraction in between but we do know that in the long run on which there comes a time or a situation that feeling could be molded and temptations isnt something that could easily be resist or able to avoid on which we know that it could be developed over time. We even husbands or men who do have a girlfriend or wife, who would be the heck that letting his gf/wife to go with opposite sex besfriend? Who do hell does that? If ever your gf do likes on doing so and ended up that it seems that you are the ones who had been that stopping her on her freedom then its better to release while its still early. Well, it dont really like with this kind of approach on which trying out to make those kind of meet ups with opposite sex.

Yes it's possible, but people be friends with opposite gender for two reasons. One is they share many things in common that attaches them and definitely no sexual attraction is there between both of them. Another one is casual friendship who most likely will be ready to jump if there's an opportunity. People want to explore more and this is just a shortcut.

as long as you know your boundaries then i see no problems people regardless of gender should be able to build meaningful connections and strong friendships with one another and if you have a partner already then just stay loyal and you will not meet any problems along the way

True, there is no wrong in have a relationship with the opposite gender.
If you are already married, you just have to let your partner know and make them to understand there is nothing more than just a friendship, also don't make any silly move that will make your partner to start suspecting you and also let you friendship know that you are married and they should also know their boundaries as well in order to maintain stability, harmony and peace.

Actually its understandable even if it doesnt show any signs of jealousy but we do know that human beings does have that emotion and seeing someone that you do love having that kind of aproach towards other sex on which we know that this is that likely that it will be that resulting into that kind of common situation on which your bestfriend will definitely be the best apprach into this one. I really don't know how some people manages situations like this all in the name of bestie. The moment a man or lady gets into a relationship (not even marriage now), there ought to be a reasonable level of gap. Even as a friend(same sex) to whosoever is in a relationship, without being told, you must be sensible enough to give them a little space. And as for those that still stick with their opposite sex bestie even after marriage, I consider it to be a massive disrespect for the opposite party in the marriage.

Friendship can be with anyone no matter the gender as long as you understand and respect each other real friends help each other in tough times but it’s important to set boundaries especially if you have a partner or wife to avoid misunderstandings and protect both your relationship and the friendship

The reason I believe why most people believe it’s a totally bad idea to have a best friend of the opposite sex is because some people use that as an excuse conduct their immoral behaviors. Yes, not everyone has self control and discipline and when such person has a best friend of the opposite gender, they see it as an opportunity or an easy ticket to get down with that person since they most likely share personal stuffs.

Asides this, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having a best friend of the opposite gender. I personally have a best friend who’s of the opposite sex, we’ve been best friends even before I got married and we are still best friends till date and even my wife knows about/supports our friendship. As a matter of fact, such friendships (if genuine) has several benefits and advantages because there might be stuffs you wouldn’t talk about with your friend who’s of the same gender, and in such situations, you can freely express yourself without feeling uncomfortable or awkward.
