Do you still believe in an altseason in 2025?

With recent price drops I've been thinking about the possibility of an altseason again, for first time in a while (maybe a year or so), given how much Ethereum and other altcoins have sold off and how high Bitcoin's market dominance has reached in the past two years (now at ~63%, the highest it's been for exactly four years).

I still think it could take until summer until there is any altseason, ie some consolidation in next few months before much happens, but I still think it's likely or even the most likely outcome at this point. Potentially Bitcoin will continue to outperform in both recovery and at new ATHs before there is much buying in the altcoin market, but for now this remains to seen.

So do you still think we'll see an altseason this year, and do you think it's only last a few months or much longer than usual? What quarter do you think it might occur in if so?

I have posted about this times without numbers that 2024 is the altseason. The way those coins pumped in 2024 indicates that it was the altseason. Do not expect much from altcoins even if bitcoin get to all-time high next in 2025.

There will be no altcoin season just like Charles-Tim side, the altcoins season is gone and we are focusing more on bitcoin that can still reach a new ATH before the end of this season. Look at how the altcoins are performing in the market, it shows that they wouldn't be able to benefit from bitcoin pump that much. It's not easy to predict when will be altcoins season.

What they are saying above was that the cycle has ended. If there is an altcoin season, it could have happened the time when BTC rise after the halving. Altcoins would have also be going up because altcoins are priced in BTC.

But who knows I could be wrong because I have just noticed that if there will be a bear market all the crypto will be dropping as well and most altcoins with usecase only inside their community will be doomed.

However if the bull market pursues, maybe there will be another altcoin season.

What happened in 2024 is not a full altcoins season but was just a few altcoins that follow the Bitcoin bull trends. Altcoins like Solana, BNB, Ada and few other altcoins followed the Bitcoin bullish momentum, unfortunately, many of them were unable to create an "All time High" records or beat their previous records.
A full altcoins season will reflect more than 60% of the entire altcoins market at the same season. All the previous altcoins season had performed very well with more than 65% of altcoins had a bullish trends. As far as I know, 2017, 2021 were great altcoin season where more than 75% of altcoins put up a good performances.

Many crypto enthusiast are anticipating for a full altcoins season and that the reason this topic is resurfacing consistently.

TBH I expected it last winter and it didn't come. So I'm far not so sure if we can expect altseason on any particular date, but I hope so much it will reach us this year. If not recent events with global trade, I'd expected that it can happen as early as in the autumn, but all that mess and turbulence in the financial markets! Wow! Anything can happen, altseason can come much earlier or not come for a couple of years or more... It would be so presumptuous to make predictions in such conditions IMO.

I still believe that there will be, but not at the shortest time—maybe at the end of the year Q4. I do hope that it will increase, and hopefully, the portfolio that I have at that time will increase in price. I think that’s what we all want, right?

          -     In my personal opinion, mate, I think that before we return to the bear market, there is still a high chance that there will be another rally in bitcoin to break its last ATH of $109k and once it breaks, it is very possible that it will go straight to $130k-$150k or maybe even more.

And when this happens, it is likely that the next one will be the altcoins season that we have been waiting for, and I hope this happens so that at least the time of waiting and saving for what we have done with dca in the cryptos that we have accumulated since before up to now will bear fruit.

2025 is a rough year for some, but those patient enough will reap the rewards for staying ahead of others by hodling properly, in my opinion.

Of course, your comment is very perfect in cryptocurrency market situation. So i am also agree with your prefer opinion. I think that in 2025 we maybe a new altseason. Because if we follow in cryptocurrency market, and also follow in bitcoin. We can understand bitcoin price is slightly increase in cryptocurrency market. I think that it will be green signal for cryptocurrency market. But it’s not be sure, so we should wait unity increase bitcoin price. Because i think that if bitcoin price will increase, then i believe that gradually altcoin price also be high.

Yeah, that's pretty much the altcoin season that many was waiting for. But if they think that Bitcoin's going to pump more then they're expecting that it's going to be another session for that season to come. We don't know but we're waiting Bitcoin to have another series of ATH soon so, if they're already holding alts that they are hoping for an alt season, that's their option.

If the price of the mother coin Bitcoin of crypto does not increase or does not remain stable and continues to decrease, then the price of altcoins will not increase in any way and if the price does not increase, there is no question of a bull run. The crypto market was unusually volatile this time and the price of Bitcoin increased very quickly because of Trump. But the price of other Altcoins did not increase. And now the price of altcoins is decreasing as the price of Bitcoin decreases. So there is no possibility of a bull run in 2025.

I still have a feeling that there is something in the end of the year or the last quarter maybe an Altseason or both having bullrun with Bitcoin. Investors still believe that there is an upcoming Altseason though I can't go with the flow since I don't have funds to buy but yeah there could be a chnace that Alts will skyrocket later this year.

Although you may be out of the running because people are not as financially secure as before, the movements within the cryptocurrency market are quite volatile. It is possible for altseasons to arrive in an unconventional manner and many investors are able to make great profits in a short span of time. Perhaps this can be an opportunity to prepare yourself if one cannot invest at this time. Leisure time activities as are the plans of planning small activities such as improving the knowledge or looking for something different will in the long run be beneficial. Remember also that the crypto market is volatile hence the need to be keen and never stop accumulating knowledge.
