If Bitcoin goes to 500 dollars, will you buy it?

I think this is just a mere overthinking but if this happens, I will buy because it is also an opportunity for us buy more of Bitcoin asset, however, I don't think we'll be going to that stage of Bitcoin price dipping to that price you mentioned despite that no one can predict the price of Bitcoin or what will become of it price in the future but dipping to that level isn't that realistic again, Bitcoin has a history and overtime it hasn't failed, just last year we reached a milestone of $100k and we are still expecting a new ATH soon before the bearish season, am a bitcoiner believe that if Bitcoin price eventually drops to the any level that's confusing, it is an opportunity to buy more because it might be a strategy by whales to buy from those who doesn't believe in the process or those that are shaky in investment.

It is good to have plan for when price of Bitcoin might go down and seeing those drops as chances to buy more especiallyBitcoin is good idea. You are right that Bitcoin has bounced back and gone up in value over time especially after it reached that high of $100000 last year. Many people who believe in Bitcoin for long term also think it will reach a new highest price before it goes down again for while.

Your idea that if price of Bitcoin suddenly drops lot, it might be plan by big investors to buy more from people who are not so sure about it is interesting and much of people in crypto world talk about that. If you really believe in Bitcoin value over long run and see these drops as chances to buy more it could be good way to make money in future. It is all about having faith in long term future of Bitcoin and not getting scared by ups and downs of market.

That's obviously pure manipulation if we experience that sudden dump in price though depends in the situation on what causes it but no doubt someone is trying to buy the lowest. Manipulation because big players try to scare investors that would result in massive dump resulting in crash and when it reaches yo their desired level they will begin to accumulate.

Yes, for some, as for bitcoin, its always tied to usd value and use it as a currency, more like investment. But for monero and other privacy coins it doesn't matter

Just a hunch, please: do you think buyers would still be inclined to purchase Bitcoin if it rose to $500 today?  It would have two ramifications, in my opinion.  First of all, if you take into account individuals who invested $10k, $20k, or even $100k, it probably would have destroyed a lot of people's assets and life savings.  Second, it would strengthen people's mistrust of digital currencies because they believe they are unreliable.  In that case, would you still purchase it?

Even if Bitcoin gets to a million I believe people will still actively buy Bitcoin, I mean take a look at the growth man, it has grown from virtually zero to $100k+ and in all those time it took to get there this particular question was being asked if investor will still buy if it got to a certain milestone maybe from $5k to $100k and look where we are today so it's just a matter of time and as it grows one thing will be certain though and that's the doubt people will have even when they vividly see that Bitcoin is no joke and evolving with time and this doubt is also normal as that's how life is.

Agree. It is only a dream, it is an impossible hope to see Bitcoin returning to $500. Sure Bitcoin always drops and increases again, but the drop of the price won't be very significant. It will never drop very drastically as altcoins. Bitcoin price grows or declines gradually, but mostly Bitcoin keeps staying in predictable level. When it dropped in the bearish season 2022-2023, it was still above the lowest price in the bearish season 2018-2019. So the lowest price in the future, will be above the lowest price in the bearish season 2022-2023. In theory, it will never return to $500.

Well, I figure anything's possible, including the risk of BTC crashing, even though that probability gets smaller every day because BTC has gained such widespread global acceptance. Let's say BTC drops to $500, that would probably be a shock to the economy, and we'd see tons of YouTube videos saying it was a BTC bubble and that they were right for never investing in BTC ^^ In that situation, I'd hope to be able to check out some Elliott Wave counts that could explain that BTC price drop.

Assuming we could experience BTC dropping to $500, I still wouldn't buy BTC at that price zone. I'd monitor the BTC price and wait for a trend reversal signal from bearish to bullish on the BTC price chart. For now, I'm just focused on waiting for BTC ATH in the $150K-170K zone and a trend reversal signal from bullish to bearish to take profits and exit the market.

That price is too low and probably it wont happen. If it happens, the whole crypto market is im very big trouble. It might be the end of other cryptocurrency too. That price is simply a dead coin, only few trades at that moment and everyone trying to make their own way to prevent higher loss in the process of dumping.

In Cryptocurreny we are allowed to speculate or predict the price of crypto coins, be it Bitcoin or other coins, but of course we have to see which coin we are predicting. Bitcoin is the main crypto that already has a very high price, if Bitcoin's price drops to $500 then what about other coins? It's impossible, but we're talking about it.

At $500, I wouldn’t just buy. I’d study who’s selling and why. Because a collapse like that wouldn’t happen in isolation. It would mean structural contagion: probably tether breaks, ETF panic, or sovereign backlash. It’d be psychological more than financial. And yes, most would run. Because most aren’t in Bitcoin for its philosophy. They’re in for the multiplier. But there’s always a minority who see through short-term sentiment and ask: what survives when illusions burn?

Crypto doesn’t promise safety. It promises sovereignty. $500 BTC would be the test: not of code, but of belief. Would I still buy? Only if I still believed in the problem it was built to solve

Well, Bitcoin will not go down as low as $500, not possible except there is a full blow out world war. A world war, internet crash are the major factors that can bring Bitcoin as low as $500, but will come back after the war.
Bitcoin will always come back, remember in 2018, we had the worst bear run that lasted about a year, Bitcoin touched me$3k but recovered. I think that Bitcoin will always come with surprises, and a new "All Time High" is likely again in 2025, hopefully $125k to $150k levels in my opinion.

I also hope the same as you, when bitcoin reaches ATH hopefully there will be no FUD or manipulation done to make the price of bitcoin go down. because at that time we were still waiting for the altcoin season to come. We still have a lot of altcoins in our wallets, and waiting for the ATH of the altcoins we hold.

The altseason really depends on Bitcoin, if bitcoin continues to rise slowly and reaches ATH, then bitcoin stanbay then the chances of altcoins will be higher to reach Altseason.

But now seeing Bitcoin continue to be dumped when it is close to reaching ATH, this may be some of the manipulation that the crypto elite is doing.
I'm still hoping the altseason arrives soon, but before that it's better to fill each of our bags.

It is really hard for this to come by. Just in case it does(impossible though) it will cause a great panic in the market that many wouldn't trust Bitcoin again.

Bitcoin can't come this far, to expect to be rugpulled to a outrageous price that people wouldn't think of happening in the future. $500 is unrealistic price that is far from happening

Of course people will panic over Bitcoin and generally altcoin would have no place in the space, but if Bitcoin dump to 500$ then I believe there are people who would be that willing to acquire more than enough and even if it dump to zero there are people who wouldn't mind just buying it because they believe there could be a second chance of bitcon to recover fully and maybe who knows if would hit millions after dumping that much.
