I would not advice to do it especially if you're a believer of the project, but based on my experience and my observation about those projects that launched through airdrops, most of the time, the price of their tokens dropped significantly as soon as they got listed on an exchange. Significantly doesn't mean "90% in an instant" although it would be a gradual way of price drop.

Just look at these projects and compare it's initial price to where it is right now:
Manta Network, Berachain, DOGS, Hamster Network, LayerZero, EigenLayer, ZkSync, VeniceAI, Celestia, and many more.

Most of the projects that I shared have lower price currently that it's initial price. The only project that comes to my mind where they launched as an airdrop, but it's price is still higher than it's initial price is Hyperliquid only. I've participated on airdrops as well, and I immediately sell them as soon as it gets listed on an exchange. I don't see the benefit of holding it for a long time knowing that most of those that got that tokens for free will just sell it immediately for profit.

Bro this topic just hit the nerve haha or I should say my past, I will tell you just one thing, if you make free money from these airdrops, just book it all, if you think the project have some hope like not by following others but by doing your own analysis, you must sell 60% and hold the other 40% to test your theory in this way you won't be in total loss.

I have done it so many times now that I don't even feel regret I just feel dumb so dumb that I would blindly ask anyone to sell their profits from airdrops ASAP. One thing that every crypto investor should be aware of is that when you are into newly launched tokens, be it airdrops or those you bought but most especially airdropped token. You should not have a long term hold target in mind. That's simply because these tokens are meant to make quick money for it's developers and after launch they all take out what they've profited from their investment of which the market ends up dumping. Most of the airdropped tokens out there in the market are mostly there for the purpose of enriching the pockets of the project’s developers and team, so it’ll be very risky to attempt HODLing unto such token as it might crash at any second. If I will you decide which coin will you hold? Will it be Bitcoin or some airdrop project out there like let's say Hamster Kombat? Will you want to hold USDT? Or DOGS token. That's the point on why holding airdropped tokens is pretty much not advisable. I already had a bad experience when it comes to holding airdropped tokens when I decided to hold DYM tokens which is basically launched as an airdrop instead of selling it. It went up to as high as 8$, but I didn't sell it. At the end, I made way lower amount.

Considering that 95% of the tokens distributed in airdrops are worthless, I think we have few options left. What I've always done with the remaining 5% (the tokens that can have a value determined by the type of project) is wait until they reach a value that allows me to sell them for Bitcoin, although even that is often difficult, because the time they remain at an acceptable value is usually hours or minutes before everyone starts selling.

All shitcoins follow the same price pattern. They are high when listed in an exchange and after the hype, the token begins to depreciate over time. The best time to sell shitcoins is when the price is high. If you hodli it, you will end up in regrets for not selling early. Only bitcoin has the long term value to increase in price overtime.

If you have done your research on the project, and it is a project that you are not sure of, it is best that you take any profit you make from the airdrop and either invest it in another coin that you trust, like Bitcoin, or an offline investment that can yield more money. Choosing to hang on to a project that you do not think will have value in the future is a waste of time and a mistake you will likely regret.

Actually, I was never interested in coins received from airdrops before, but after seeing the success of Dogecoin and Shibainu, I thought of investing a little in meme coin and after investing, I realized that I made only one mistake by investing and holding my money here. Currently, about 80% of my invested funds are down.

And it can be said with great certainty that the possibility of recovering those coins is very low. So I think you should have immediately failed those coins from the airdrop when you got them because these types of projects only see all-time high prices at the beginning of the launch.
