~snip~

So my question is. Do you think, that BTC will keep its leadership, or will ETH be the winner of this year and surpass its ancestor?

There's no doubt it will keep its leadership. Aside from being the leader in coinmarketcap.com and exchanges, Bitcoin is by far the most usable crypto on earth as there are lots of Bitcoin ATMs installed in many countries in the world. And based on statistic the total numbers of Bitcoin ATMs worldwide from January 2016 to April 2018 were 2,662 Bitcoin ATMs as of April 2018 globally.

Recently, I was thinkig. Is there really any reason for the BTC to be the market leader? The only thing that is giving the value to BTC is pretty much the fact, that it was the first crypto currency. It is the grandfather of all cryptos. But we know it has its flaws... It was never designed for broad usage, it has scaling issues and so on.

On the other hand, we were given ETH. The Crypto Kitties or w/e the awesome internet meme ETH appliction is called showed us, that ETH network has issues with high amounts of usage. BUT, 90% of all altcoins are based on the ERC-20 standard, brought to us by ETH. The smart contracts using the Solidity are extremly good piece of technolgy.

So my question is. Do you think, that BTC will keep its leadership, or will ETH be the winner of this year and surpass its ancestor?

I think ethereum, because ethereum is doing better on market in this year. Ethereum is so popular now.

Bitcoin will always be the win , because bitcoin has the largerst amount of value where you can compete with other coins.

Bitcoin will always be the winner because it has a larger price and it is very common from the electronic devices.

We can actually say bit against the world(altcoins). Yes, bitcoin is the most outstanding coin in the world. I can't really imagine bitcoin reach that kind of value. It seems impossible but we can see it. One coin is equal to thousands of dollars. It is like a joke but real.

I see no enough reason for ethereum to go beyond bitcoin success as we know bitcoin is always the apple of the eye to all investors.

Eth does have an advantage over Bitcoin, Eth transactions are faster and cheaper than Bitcoin, but it does not become a guarantee Ethics will be able to lead the current Cryptocurrency. Bitcoin as a digital coin that first appeared, and currently has the highest value, is very difficult to run.

There's no doubt about it. Still Bitcoin is the King and Ethereum is the great followers among all altcoins in crypto industry. There's no other coins yet that will bit bitcoin being the most precious crytocurrency in the crypto world. It takes a long period of time that ethereum itself will bit bitcoin as the first most valuable coin since existed.

Bitcoin is still the best coin today, Ethereum is still under Bitcoin. although actually Ethereum is no less phenomenal than Bitcoin. but in fact, Eth's price is still far below Btc. I believe Bitcoin is still the highest coin in 2018.

it's true that bitcoin is the beginning of all crypto's emergence, and I think bitcoin will still lead until unexpected times.

Ethereum is still struggling of making a good position to reach the place where bitcoin is resting. So i doubt that ethereum can be the  best this year.

It’s obviously Bitcoin because it will be very difficult for ethereum or any other altcoin to dethrone bitcoin. I don’t see that happening now or even in the near future.

In my opinion there are no other coins that can beat bitcoin, but ethereum is no less interesting than bitcoin, ethereum still excels this year.
