Yea, am pretty sure that when you send a coin or token to a wrong address, the transaction will be completed but will be lost forever. E.g sending BTC to an Ethereum address no matter the amount of btc, the worth of it. You can't recover it.

It is very possible to loose your coin for choosing the wrong wallet, there was one bounty I hunted when I started bounty at first, I used one exchange wallet instead of ERC20 wallet and all my tokens were gone.
