Can altcoin survive without bitcoin?

It's not so much linked to btc as you think. People invest in altcoins and it is the main factor for its living.
The other question is if people will continue to believe in crypto if Bitcoin will die..

Personally, I believe that not only can Altcoins survive without Bitcoin, they would thrive without bitcoin because let's face it, Bitcoin was the first Cryptocurrency and if I were to use the example of Computers, the first computer model is very outdated and there are newer models now that fits the time, that is how Altcoins are, they are the better and improved version of Bitcoin.

We certainly know, that altcoin exists because of bitcoin, but can altcoin survive without bitcoin? or if maybe bitcoin suddenly becomes worthless, can altcoin still survive?

Yes, I believe altcoin can survive without bitcoin. Because Block chain is technology, It can be used by another coin. It is my opinion.

This question is really hard to answer because in reality most of the altcoins have nothing related in a direct way with BTC and yet BTC can very easily affect its prices,  and if you look closely the whole Crypto space get affected with anything happen to BTC and the reason behind this is that BTC is the backbone of the whole Crypto space whether you like it or not the whole Crypto market will get affected with the bad or good news the hit BTC. But even though all altcoins get affected by anything happen to BTC, I still think they can survive without it.

Altcoins can easily exist without Bitcoin. Each cryptocurrency in principle, can exist independently. Why should altcoins disappear if bitcoin disappears?
It will even be very interesting here, since Bitcoin’s price dominance will disappear, and other types of cryptocurrency will no longer have such a high level of capitalization in order to exercise the same dominance. I think that is nearly impossible. Without bitcoin , altcoins can not survive in the market. If bitcoin 's value will come to zero it means all altcoins already came to zero before than bitcoin. So in my opinion without bitcoin that market can not continue and can not survive.Bitcoin is determining all the market situation.

In my opinion it is still difficult, because now the market still uses Bitcoin, all coins are under the control of bitcoin, it takes a long time Altcoin runs itself without bitcoin, because all coins are derivatives of bitcoin.

Of course why not. Though altcoin may always be as observed, connected it can stand on its own depending upon how useful such coin is. A coin with no product or usage will certainly fall but the ones that are really utilized will prevail.
