I see the gap of their market caps is decreasing day to day. It shows that ethereum has improved very fast. So, there is a chance for ethereum to return to the second place. I dont think etherium can overtake ripple now.. The reason is that ripple has many companies that are partnering with them and more so they are very good in marketing strategies. So I'll say they'll still be at the top.

I don’t know the answer yet because Ripple also has potential too when it established connections with many big financial organizations and testing XRP on payments through national now. Should be a tough opponent for ETH
