What about esport then? All those DotA, Counter-Strike and sport related video games. People really spend lot of time training, have competitions with prizes, champions. If you google the word sport, you will get Sport is a form of physical activity or game. Often competitive and organized, sports use, maintain, or improve physical ability and skills. Perfect description of what people do behind pc or console while playing. If we measure sport that is something where physical activity is used, then they use finger muscles and get tired to play. Also a 100% hit.

Sports are physical activities. Video games don't make you get tired physically nor require strength or physicality. You can't get injured from playing video games.
The difference is clear.
While the definition of sports based on a quick google search is "competitive physical activities or games", there's a thing called E-sports right now, and until now, it's still debatable if E-sports can be considered a form of sport or not.

Well, there are some institutions that consider E-sports as a form of sport already, so I guess we can change the definition of sport now? :D I'm a bit bias on this one because I'm a gamer and I spend hours playing online games.

I'm browsing to my Facebook just a few minutes ago, and this is what I will see.
https://www.coindesk.com/business/2024/05/24/kabosu-dog-who-inspired-dogecoin-and-shiba-inu-is-no-more/
Quote
Popular dog Kabosu, the face of dogecoin and several other meme tokens, died early Friday, his owner wrote in a blog post. He was over 17 years old.
“We will be holding a farewell party for Kabo-chan on Sunday, May 26th . It will be held at Flower Kaori in Kotsu no Mori, Narita City, from 1pm to 4pm,” the blog reads.
I'm not holding any DOGE or any meme coin, but I felt sad for this news just because I'm a dog lover. Hats off to the main faces of the first and most popular meme coin which is DOGE. Without Kabosu, dog-related meme coins will not exist at all.

I like over 224.5 more than I like taking the points tonight. Game is either going to be Boston by alot or Indiana wins. Don't feel like there is any middle ground here. Nembhard, Haliburton, Turner and others are going to have to be hitting their 3 pointers. Going to need a decent game out of Siakim as well, he needs to be a rebounding machine and control the paint.
If Haliburton will play in Game 3, there's a chance that Indiana will win in both Games on their home.
Apparently, he suffered a sore left hamstring injury in the 3rd quarter causing him to not return until the end of the game. I believe that the game might be closer if he just played, but I just hope that he will recover and will play in both of their home games to increase their chances.

Just for context, the Pacers are 1-12 all-time in the playoffs when they are down 0-2 and 1-8 in a best of 7 series. This might mean a lot especially when they are up against a team that may believe to win it all this year. The problem with the Pacers is that they might be one of the best offensive teams during the regular season, but they are also one of the worst defensive teams as well. They are giving up too many points to their opponent, and with a team like Celtics, they will take advantage of that weakness of them.

Anyway, I still believe that the Pacers will at least win on their home, but they will not win in this series. Not against a team like Boston. :)

Anything can happen. I see 3 scenarios

1) Jake will start running and making Mike tired. He will try to use his age advantage. In late rounds he will do some damage to slowed Mike. Probably Mike will have a cut. And it will be a Jake winning by split decision
2) Jake will start with furious actions from very start. His goal will be to surprise Mike, who hasnt been in real fight for years. With enough unaswered punches, Jake could take some rounds (especially if he manages to daze Mike), and then survive till the end and win by decision.
3) Mike, as more experienced, will block avoid and wait, and later land either a body punch and win by TKO, or will win by TKO after Jake would had two knockdowns in one rounds. I really doubt that ref will allow a clear knockout, and Jake would be so silly to walk with hands down against such a striker.
Well, whatever happens with the 3 scenarios that you shared, one thing is for sure.
Both fighters will be happy in the end because they will be paid big time, and fans will be happy to see their idol fighting each other. :D

Kidding aside, I wonder if Mike Tyson can survive the whole fight, and winning by decision. I believe that his stamina is low compared to Jake Paul because of his age like you said. I know that Tyson is a strong fighter, but that was "IN HIS PRIME". Yes, we are seeing videos of him online showing that he can fight Jake Paul and potentially win, but I still believe that "AGE MATTERS" and Jake Paul isn't like an amateur, but he has an experience in boxing already (although not that much compared to Tyson).

But between the 3 scenarios that you shared; I will go with the 4th one which is "Jake Paul will win by TKO". :D

Hello everyone, I assume most of us are familiar with staking as a passive income avenue, whether on DEX or CEX platforms.

I'd like to ask, what factors do you consider before choosing a platform for staking? Is it flexibility, APY, or something else? Secondly, which platform do you believe offers the best APR for staking BTC, USDT, and ETH? Please share your opinions.
1. The coin itself. Is the coin established already? How many years do this coin exists already? These are some of the questions that always come to my mind whenever I pick a coin to stake.
2. APR. Of course, the higher the APR, the more attractive it is to stake. I'll take ATOM for example. Cosmos has been on the top 20 or top 50 in terms of market for years already, and the APR is at an average between 14-16%. For me, this is very high already and knowing that this coin has been on the top for a long time, this token composes nearly a third of my total portfolio and even sold some of my BTC just to have more ATOM.

As for your question, it will depend on the token/coin that you're staking. I always prefer the software that the developers themselves created. Cardano for example have multiple wallet that supports staking, but I prefer Daedalus since the developers created it. As for the tokens that you shared, I don't think there's better way to stake BTC than putting it on an exchange. You can't stake BTC technically because it's a POW coin and not a POS, but you can use it to earn by putting it on an exchange. For ETH, there are some wallets that offer ETH staking although I'm not doing it. As for USDT, I don't know if there's any aside from putting it on an exchange as well.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Is this a good time to buy/stake ETH?
« on: May 24, 2024, 07:04:28 AM »
~
My curiosity is if this would be a good time to stake ETH? Plus, some CEXs are getting other existing trading and staking events up in anticipation of the approval, are they worth it?
The staking rewards currently based on stakingrewards.com is at 3.69%. Are you good at that? If yes, then just do it.

I don't know how much rewards you can get if you stake/earn your ETH in some CEXes out there like Binance and Bitget, but if you're comfortable storing your ETH there to earn additional ETH without doing anything then you can just do it. TBH, I would rather just hold my ETH into my own wallet than either staking it or storing it on exchanges.

Like the post above said, I might use my ETH as well in joining some airdrops that needs investing your ETH to earn free tokens in the future. I'm currently doing that with some projects. There's a risk that they might run away along with the ETH that they got, but so far, there's no incidents like that happening.

Ethereum Forum / Re: CAN I EARN JUST BY HOLDING MY ETHEREUM
« on: May 24, 2024, 05:42:23 AM »
I’ve been holding onto my Ethereum and Bitcoin cash for a while now, and honestly, I’ve been unsure about what to do with it. I know ETH is a valuable asset, but simply holding it doesn't seem like the best way to maximize its potential. Price has been flying up and down recently, but i'm bullish on it with the upcoming ETF approval, that is if it was approved it will be a plus for most retail holders like myself. Do you have any idea how i can make the most out of my holdings.
Well, the Ethereum ETF has been approved just hours ago, but there's no significant price increase towards the price of Ethereum as of this moment.
Now to your question, there are some ways for you to earn using your Ethereum.

1. Capital Appreciation - this is what you're doing right now. Buy and hold, and yes it takes time to make profits, but that's how the strategy works.
2. Staking - Stake it with a validator out there. Based on stakingrewards.com, you can earn 3.69% annually by staking it. Better than just storing it.
3. Trade - You can use your Ethereum to trade as well. I don't recommend this to newbies though.
4. Use your ETH to buy coins - this is self-explanatory. No need to explain to you. :)

Overall, there are many ways for you to earn using your Ethereum. It will all depends on how knowledgeable you are, the risk, and the amount of time you are willing to give.

If we look into the the current situation now and how the market is moving, we will deduce that the trend is fast approaching to achieving another all time high just as we have already seen before the halving, we still have the whole year long to achieve for more new all time highs and throughout the year, there is more to expect and see, if we only consider the way far to go in seeing bitcoin get to $150,000 or above between now till next year.
We've just seen the worst price correction this year. From $70,000 down to $67,000 currently. :D
It's obvious that I'm just kidding on that part, but I guess before we will see the market going up, and up, we will see a series of price corrections first.

I believe that it will start at the 2nd half of the year (probably June or July). Anyway, I still continue to accumulate Bitcoins until now because I believe that I can still double my money. If not, I will still end up profiting, and I just need to be patient and wait for a few months. There's no harm in holding. :) I hope that everybody is still accumulating Bitcoins until now. :)

Thanks for sharing. :)

I don't buy NFTs from marketplaces but mint them if mint is free or for a very low fee, if project becomes successful these early minted NFTs tend to be valued good as the case with Mode network nfts.
I also joined Mode airdrop but didn't put too much attention on its first airdrop that's why I only got a hundred which costs around a few bucks currently. As for NFTs, I did mint some on Blast network partners, and joined the jackpot feature. I wonder when Blast will launch their token. :D

So parking money is one I do. You park money, and let it do the work; examples being — Eigenlayer, Mode, Parcl, Swell. Yes, aforementioned three had point system, but it's different from farming points for doing tasks, anything 'free' is likely to be over saturated and in the end reward won't be worth good.

You don't have to be whale, even few hundred dollars can make you earn good, and nothing happens to your money that you parked (as long as you stay away from shady projects), when the farming is done, you withdraw.
I agree with what you said with regards to "free airdrops". Since it's free, many will join hence, lowering the rewards that we can get until it will come to a point where it will not be worth it anymore. Well with regards to not being a whale, I'm not a whale (and will never be in my whole lifetime), but I believe I can still make a few dollars joining into different airdrops still.

Parking/depositing them on their website to earn points that are convertible to tokens in the future is for me the best way right now to earn free tokens.

You could also stake coins that has potential to make you eligible for other airdrops, like $ATOM, $OSMO, $PYTH, $TIA, $DYM.

It's wise to stake part of airdrop you receive, as this could make you eligible for other airdrops.

Example; Stakers of $ATOM got $TIA, then $TIA stakers got $DYM, and $DYM stakers got $NIM.

Regarding testnets, I do them if I find project attractive enough as in case of Initia lately.
Well, you're an ATOM holder like me. :D
I mean I agree with what you said on this one, and this is also the reason why I'm holding tokens under ATOM. The staking reward is attractive but aside from that, you can also be eligible in some airdrops like NIM on DYM blockchain, and many more in the future.

As for testnets, I only tried Berachain, but I stopped it already because there are no clear requirements yet on how testnet users can be eligible in the airdrop.

Looking at past, I'd say no. Solana despite being cheap is not a dependeble network, it has had frequent outages. How many ethereum had? As far as In know — none (Though, when ethereum gas fee reaches 200 gwei, it's as good as an outage  :P).

You know if Solana were to go down one time, it's understandable but if it keeps failing again and again, there is something wrong.
Solana often experiences network outages for hours this results in many transactions being choked up, I don't know what happened to Solana so often experiencing it how the developers are they not so able to optimize better than other networks.

But behind many failures there is also a lot of support from the community to stay loyal to this coin and even memes can explode again on the solana network which may be due to lower fees than ethereum which is so expensive.

We know many new and successful projects with large funding choose the solana network over the Ethereum network.
I looked at their uptime status website, and within the past 6-9 months, it only happened once in February of 2024, and it lasted for 4 hours.
Since then, there hasn't been any reported outages on the network.

I guess we can say that at least there's some improvement already compared to the time where major outages are happening one after another. Despite the outages, the community behind Solana is huge hence, they are still one of the top coins right now in terms of market cap. Aside from that, there has been new projects that are being created under Solana, and we've seen projects like JITO, Jupiter, WIF, and other more (more in the future). I don't know if this will happen, but I saw on Twitter regarding Solana being the next ETF that will get accepted after Ethereum. I see this totally absurd, but is there a chance for it to happen?

Overall, both Ethereum and Solana and excelling on what they're doing. There are new projects being created under SOL, and new projects on ETH as well.

Such a weird game also in game 1 of Wolves vs. Mavs with so many mistakes/turnovers on both sides. This is also the first time I've seen someone getting called for offensive goal tending.

Both Luka and ANT were having a bad night but Luka caught fire at the right moment.

How did your bet go? I lost mine.
You're referring to KAT's put back dunk in the final minutes of the 4th quarter?
Based on the official review, the ball is still above the ring hence, they called it a basketball interference but TBH, it's pretty close. Well, if that counts, we might see a different result in this Game 1. It happened in the final minutes of the game that's why every point at that moment is very crucial.

Luka's knees is hindering him to play all-out. ANT on the other hand looks like he's exhausted in the 4th quarter because of defending both Luka and Kyrie which for me is very exhausting knowing how good they are in ball handling. Anyway, this is what I expect from both the Eastern and Western Conference Finals. It's anybody's game, and I hope this will be the case all throughout the whole series.

I didn't bet since I'm out of funds already, but I'm still watching though. :)

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: Just HODL
« on: May 23, 2024, 05:02:55 AM »
Yes i am still holding Bitcoin and some altcoin. Hold is gold i believe it. I think within short time we will saw real bull market. And i want to wait and hold my all fund. I believe ditire bull session my fund will be minimum 3x to 4x. Sobi am holding till now. I think ifd anyone invest now and hold that for few month he also will be profitable thwre has no doubt. And i think if hold now he will get minimum 2x-3x profit. So i will tell hold,  hold and hold.
Holding some Bitcoins and some top altcoins is always the best strategy I think especially for newbies in investing.
On the flip side, it's always good to have price selling targets and don't just hold, hold and hold. The main purpose why you're investing is to make money, so hold for a long time, but sell it at a price where you will feel comfortable still when you sell it.

In this case, it's good that you already set a selling price. Just be patient and continue holding. Those who are being patient are the ones that are rewarded the most. Bull market might happen a few months from now and like you, I'm also waiting for the bull market to happen, and I can't wait for my price selling targets to be reached as well. :D

I've been losing consistently for quite several days in casino games, I can't find any reason for it but I've noticed for quite some time that when my bankroll is almost at the end I tend to bet a bit more aggressively when betting and my losses are increased.

I would like to know if any of you have ever had this kind of feeling?

If I could have been patient during that time I would have had another chance to grow my Bankroll. Should I make any changes to gambling when placing bets at the end of the bankroll?
I always experience this kind of feeling whenever I'm gambling. When I'm at my last money, I always go all in on one team (sports betting), and whatever happens, I will not regret my decision.

Do I feel angry about myself? No, but I feel a bit of regret but at the end of the day, it's all my decision, and I'm the one who needs to suffer. Being patient when your money is almost going to zero will not change everything. You will only think that you will last longer, but it will not change the fact that you might still lose it all. Betting on one game Vs. Betting on multiple games will lower amount will not change everything.

For me, just gamble everything when your money is nearing to zero. If you lose, you lose. If you win, you win. That's how gambling works (well at least that's my way of thinking when it comes to gambling).

Just my two cents from my experience with airdrop farming — I skip free points farming stuff (current examples; Rabby, Rainbow wallet points farming programs and everything on platforms like zealy, questn, galxe) as in the end reward usually tend to be worth peanuts, that too if any.

Effort involved vs reward ratio is simply not alluring enough to bother.
If that's the case, what types of airdrops are you joining then?
Testnet airdrops? Staking to be eligible to an airdrop? Buying an NFT?

I'm just curious because I'm joining some airdrops that require points to be eligible in airdrops. I agree with what you said that the airdrop that you will get will be very low, but that's only when you invest a small amount of money into it. At the end of the day, whales will be the ones who will get the most points hence, the most tokens of a project. It's all about whales, whales and whales. :D

Anyway, I also tried zealy, and galxe and at first, it was good and easy but over time, I find it unattractive for some reasons that's why I stopped doing it already.

Gambling discussion / Re: Whats your experience with gambling?
« on: May 23, 2024, 04:03:01 AM »
My whole gambling experience was full of losses.
There might be times that I'm winning, but at the end of the day, all of my capital will be *poof* in an instant.

TBH, I regret doing gambling because I lost a huge amount already. I can just imagine and always ask myself "What if I just used those money to buy Bitcoin?" Instead of losing money, I might gain even more. Well, it is what it is and I just hope that more people here will not spend time and money too much in gambling because your chances of winning on it are close to zero.
Maybe this is the feeling that many people will feel when they experience defeat in gambling. they will regret it and they will think that they used the money for something better, but regret is just regret, because in reality the next day they will go back to gambling.

Therefore we must use free money, or in other words we will not regret it when we lose the money. Don't let us regret something we do, especially when we know at the start what the risks are.
Well, that's the case for those addicted gamblers.
Today, they will regret what they did. They will sleep at night, then the next day, they will go back to gambling again as if nothing happened yesterday. :D

I always feel disappointed whenever I lose money in gambling and even though I consider it as free money, there's still a bit of regret on my part and so many "What if's" are coming to my mind. :D I'm sure that most gamblers are also experiencing the same as mine, but what I would say is that, before putting your money in gambling, make sure that you will not do something stupid or bad whenever you lose that money. Disappointment and regret are pretty normal when you lose money, but to do some crazy things is something that you shouldn't do. After all, we know that our chances of winning in gambling are pretty low.
