I've been in the crypto market since 2017 and have had more losses than gains from my investments. I've been able to stay in this market thanks to my freelance income from translating documents and news updates for various projects. The losses I experienced during the 2017 and 2021 bear markets motivated me to start DCA crypto throughout 2022, 2023, and 2024.
I’ve chosen BTC for weekly DCA and have accumulated a few thousand USD worth of BTC until BTC hits 100K USD after Trump officially wins the heated US election. I’ve officially stopped DCA and activated RDCA: selling a portion of my BTC at different targets. I’ve also shared this on the forum for community feedback.
Today I read an article on Cointelegraph stating that the BTC DCA strategy will soon end and investors should switch to DCA altcoins to achieve higher returns during the altseason in 2025. Personally, I believe it officially ended when BTC reached 100K USD, but I haven't planned to buy more altcoins right now, although I also believe the altseason will happen soon. I activated the DCA altcoins strategy with 50% of my capital right after the halving, but unfortunately, it yielded lower returns compared to the DCA BTC strategy, the reason being that I skipped memecoins and only focused on some top coins in the market.
I'm not buying any crypto every week right now. The remaining stablecoins from the initial capital and profits from BTC RDCA will be held to wait for the opportunity to buy the dip in case the market has a big correction of -20-30% due to a black swan event next year. If the market grows favorably, I'm also happy with the profits from the price increase of the tokens in my portfolio.
I would like to know your opinion on this issue:
- Have you ever applied the DCA strategy in the crypto market?
- Do you think investors should stop DCA BTC to DCA altcoins with the expectation of making bigger profits in the 2025 altseason?
- Do you often refer to the opinions of experienced traders on the internet to adjust your crypto investment strategy?
- Is the Bitcoin DCA opportunity over? Here’s what traders are thinking (https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-dollar-cost-averaging-strategy-dca-opportunity-crypto-trader-thoughts-altcoins)

- Do you think investors should stop DCA BTC to DCA altcoins with the expectation of making bigger profits in the 2025 altseason?
Only if they know the risk and already does research on specific altcoin they plan to perform DCA. I think average cryptocurrency investor better stick with DCA Bitcoin.
- Do you often refer to the opinions of experienced traders on the internet to adjust your crypto investment strategy?
Not really, since it's hard to know which trader actually is experienced or skilled.
-

Often and even continue I do for coins that I believe in today other than Bitcoin.
Do you think investors should stop DCA BTC to DCA altcoins with the expectation of making bigger profits in the 2025 altseason?
Not always, investment is an option, if someone wants to choose Bitcoin may be the main asset in DCA, but for potential altcoins it is also necessary to get an allocation for DCA and this will be a double benefit.
Do you often refer to the opinions of experienced traders on the internet to adjust your crypto investment strategy?
Not always, because every reference from someone else cannot be trusted, it is better to do your own research and it will be much better, but of course with basic knowledge that can be held accountable.

1. I have been applying the DCA strategy for BTC and top coins since 2023 and am still continuing to do so. The rewards from the signature campaign on AltcoinsTalks can also be considered a part of the DCA strategy, around $40 per week.
2. BTC and ALTs are two sides of the same coin: there is a bitseason, there will be an altseason, so investors can diversify their portfolios with ALTs. I have also stopped actively DCA BTC to save capital for DCA ALTs, I focus on ETH and some other top coins like ADA, DOT, AVAX, NEAR... because they are quite safe.
3. I have gone through a phase of referring to other people trading opinions to imitate or adjust my strategy. Now I proactively analyze the market and share my views on AltcoinsTalks, then I receive feedback from the community to perfect my analysis and prediction.

I also noticed that you no longer try to understand the basis and meaning of predictions from other KOLs or analysts in the market like you did in 2021. You also participate less in supplementing other people's opinions. You have created a new approach based on big data analysis to analyze BTC, and from there, you can broadly infer the general state of the entire market.
I'm not very familiar with technical analysis, I just hope that your insights will continue to be correct and we will have the safest and most reasonable exit point from the market in 2025 after BTC reaches 150K USD.
-
You have been DCAing since 2022. Do you still ill have more loses now that BTC is more than 90k?
I just kept my alt coins as is since 2023 after buying some of them. If the bears win this market I think I will also start selling before I lose them all. Keeping doesn't make sense when prices are falling.
Altcoins prices are still not too high which we still can buy a lot with $1k. DCAing I think hink will only make sense on expensive tokens lik ETH. But sure buy some more if your plans are for long term holding.
-
DCA will not end when Bitcoin reaches a certain price, otherwise it would have ended when Bitcoin was $10,000. It will continue to exist even if Bitcoin was $10 million, provided that there is price volatility and the general trend is increasing. In short, this strategy does not depend on a specific price, but on volatility. Bitcoin's volatility is actually decreasing, but it has not reached a stable level. If Bitcoin's price stabilizes at $1,000/$10,000/$100,000 for several years, then DCA will fail.

3. Do you often refer to the opinions of experienced traders on the internet to adjust your crypto investment strategy?
1. Yeah I do DCA strategy from both Bitcoin and Altcoins in the crypto market.
2. This is actually depends on the investors own preferences those smart ones prefer to do both especially if they do have better capital. I prefer to do this on Altcoins because I have limited funds though sold all my holdings but still I have plans to buy when I have enough funds.
3. I personally did refer other experts opinion before but it doesn't work with me maybe I have something that needs to improve so maybe I'll be making this happen.

Wait till we see the impact of Mica and how much the EU wants to enforce it.
There are two things in those regulations one about market integrity which meme coins and most pup and dumps will fail it in one second, so everything that was the hype in autumn can consider itself banned and then there is the consumer protection which can be enforced on exchnges providing them, so you allowed a rugpull, you'll be held liable.
Whatever trouble the $#^%$@$ girl or Hawk Tuah is in now is nothing compared to what might happen if MICA is enforced.

Yes, I have applied the DCA strategy to Bitcoin before, I invested since Bitcoin was around 30K and I got almost more than three times as much.
As for your question: "Is the Bitcoin DCA opportunity over?" I think it is no longer very profitable this cycle, but it is certain that it is not over and will be very profitable in the following cycles, so I advise everyone to continue.
As for the current cycle, I think it would be appropriate for the time being to stop DCA BTC in favor of DCA altcoins, because the altcoin season has not really started yet and is expected to start up significantly at any moment.
-
- Have you ever applied the DCA strategy in the crypto market?
Yes, DCA is a strategy that almost all investors in the crypto market must have used when accumulating bitcoin because of its simplicity and bigger advantage in the market in the long term.
- Do you think investors should stop DCA BTC to DCA altcoins with the expectation of making bigger profits in the 2025 altseason?
Investors who wants to take profit during this cycles bull run may relax in accumulating more bitcoins, because the price may not go so high again from now and their latest investment in bitcoin may short fall in profit when added together. So the DCA might stop for now but if you’re investing and looking for several more years to go, to continue DCAing now is also a good idea.
- Do you often refer to the opinions of experienced traders on the internet to adjust your crypto investment strategy?
Their opinion doesn’t really matter in my investment strategy. It is better not to depend on anyone and take decisions by yourself to boost your confidence. If you fail, you’ll learn a lesson and when you’re right, accolades will be given when due.
-
For the short term, I might also prefer Altcoins, at least until altseason arrives... but for the long term, BTC remains the best asset to accumulate for a 10+ year projection.... we know that Bitcoin is currently doing really well, because it has received attention from some influential people in the world.
DOGE might get a little more surprise from Elon Musk because of his success in bringing Trump to victory in the recent presidential election. While other altcoin assets will also be affected by short-term growth when the altcoin season arrives.
-
It's a great time to buy IMO because a lot of coins are now in the discounted range. I am hoping that there will be more people who can get something in the cryptocurrency space and profit from it. I believe it's with AI agents now, and a lot of coins are now hyping up. It's important to see the future of what they can do and see the results once the market increases.
Before you know it, it will be AI season.
-
I always put money in altcoins for profits, there is not much profit to be made in BTC and possibly Ethereum as well. BTC/ETH are good to secure money that you make in altcoins.
I activated the DCA altcoins strategy with 50% of my capital right after the halving, but unfortunately, it yielded lower returns compared to the DCA BTC strategy, the reason being that I skipped memecoins and only focused on some top coins in the market.
I think that was wise, you could have lost money in memecoins altogether. Regarding lower returns, give it some time, altseason is yet to come.

The use of DCA does not have a specific time, in fact, it is one of the main good tools for us to save bitcoin or other top crypto assets. This also means that whether it is a bull run or a bear season, DCA is always there to give us a view to save.
Therefore, DCA is very useful for all traders, whether you are old or newbie in the crypto trading business. Even institutional investors use this as their main
tool in this regard.

Every investor has their own investment strategy, which also affects DCA. Diamond hands like Mstr can continuously DCA using funds raised at low interest rates, while seasonal holders will only DCA BTC during crypto winter and recovery periods.
More flexible investors will prefer DCA BTC and altcoins, and they will know how to customize it appropriately to generate the best returns while still ensuring account security. Additionally, I believe DCA is for long-term holders, not traders. Traders will need TP and SL instead of DCA or RDCA.
-
I wouldn't switch from BTC to altcoins since I know that BTC actually gave me the returns I will just keep on pursuing it. And if I want to add altcoins then I'll simply add the coins to my DCA and allocate some funds let's say 50% goes to BTC and remaining 50% goes to the altcoins so with these we also get to diversify as well as strengthen the portfolio by having BTC at hands.
-
I'm not buying any crypto every week right now. The remaining stablecoins from the initial capital and profits from BTC RDCA will be held to wait for the opportunity to buy the dip in case the market has a big correction of -20-30% due to a black swan event next year. You are already on the right track. Your plan is good to keep some stable aside for 20% to 30% dip which I think is possible but under rare situations because now there is a word in the market that maybe due to Trump this cycle will turn into a super cycle but that can also be wrong to say in many ways so it is best for us to diversify our portfolio for better returns.
It was and is not neccessary to make a huge profit by investing in memes although they certainly made a 100x to 700x till now but to 1 in a 1000 whale or investor. It is also very rare to find the next gem meme we have to be very active but we can make easy 2x to 5x by choosing wisely from the top 200 coins.

No... DCA BTC will continue until bitcoin is high and at that time will sell it, because it believes bitcoin can go to $150K many predict it even though this is uncertain but still optimistic.
Some narratives appear in 2025 will be the altcoin season so suggest to do DCA some altcoins, but I will not do that only buy on several occasions even if IMO it is good.
-
Personally, I am not doing DCA as of the moment and I guess this is not the right time for me to do so. I understand that you can be in the dilemma because while you know the effectiveness of DCA you are seeing less ROI right now and that can be the reason why you are getting interested to shift a little towards alts. I think there is nothing wrong with that because you are diversifying or spreading your eggs into many nest but of course just be careful on the alt you are picking. The sentiment of the market is that a big alt season can be coming...hopefully this can be true soon.

I respect your investment strategy and I believe it’s truly safe and ensures profits for you this season. Altcoins are very potential but they also come with higher risks than BTC, you can choose to stay out or only participate in the short term to take advantage of opportunities from them.
Anyway, we still share the same expectation that BTC price will continue to reach higher milestones this year. 2025 has officially begun, we are waiting for the growth of BTC and the entire crypto market, then most of the wise and sober investors will profit no matter which safe investment strategy they prioritize.

Exactly, Investments decisions are usually made by taking into consideration our current status of the economy and our individual objectives. In situations where the promises of altcoins look much more enticing, but equally as dangerous. Additional, special attention should be paid to keep the expectations and select the assets accurate so that they are not at a high risk with low levels of profit. Bitcoin and Altcoin have relative price ranges with relation to the available supply. Therefore, when applying DCA to altcoins, it feels less suitable to do so. But in this case when applying the DCA method to Bitcoin it is highly appropriate due to factors of limited supply and high demand. The use of rapidly developing market interactions can be consideration, but the fact remains that the decision lies with us and should be made based on the analysis that has been prepared.

Therefore, altcoins are volatile, so there will not be too much money flow still on altcoins and in essence do not want to bear greater risk.
Yeah until now it still hasn't secured more asset gains in bitcoin if you look at the portfolio's gains of more than 150% since the initial purchase in DCA in bitcoin.

In addition to its volatility level, altcoins also follow the Bitcoin price. So when the BTC price crashes, the Altcoins price also crashes. And unfortunately, in the last few weeks in December, the price of most altcoins has dropped significantly, so it will take more time for the increase afterwards. As is happening now, several altcoins have given a pretty good sign of increasing, although it has not returned to the same as a few weeks ago, but at least the increase signal has started to appear. Just wait until the price is really in line with what we need.

1. yes
2. Depend on what strategy they are implementing. if we can use DCA on BTC and altcoins, as long as our free money are enough, why not? Sometimes, diversifying amount of the money can give more expiation to gain more profits.
3. This is one of the things that needs to be considered and become a consideration, but it does not mean that our references are based on influencers or anyone who thinks so, because it is only one of the considerations, not the only determinant of the decision. but there are other factors that must be needed.
-
- Do you think investors should stop DCA BTC to DCA altcoins with the expectation of making bigger profits in the 2025 altseason?
It shouldn't be stopped, because no matter what, Bitcoin still has great chances to increase at the peak of the bullrun later. and I really believe that, as long as there are still chances and also money to increase accumulation and do DCA then I will do it, because there is still an opportunity and while the price is also quite low. it's just that,
and even if we want to do DCA on some altcoins that we have analyzed and believe in, it won't be a problem for us to do DCA too, the point is, as long as there is sufficient capital, this kind of diversification is needed to optimize the possibility of greater profits, right?

1. I've always been applied DCA when it comes to the crypto market. Although I'm not consistent at all meaning I don't invest on a monthly or weekly basis, at least I'm not stopping on investing. I invest whenever I have spare money to invest.
2. It all depends on themselves and their beliefs. If they believe that they will get more money by investing into Bitcoin, then they can just focus on it and vice-versa. As for me, I'm focusing more now on altcoins as I believe most of them especially those top altcoins have a higher upside than Bitcoin hence, more profits.
3. I watch them, or read them, but I'm not relying on them at all. I'm not the type of investor where if I saw a trader to buy now because it has already been down, I will not follow what they said instead, I'll look at the chart and do my own analysis. I'm not that expert in TA still, but I trust my analysis more than them. :D

Not sure if that is still applicable because when Bitcoin reaches new all time high, altcoins like Ethereum still lags in the price and nowhere close to their last all time high.
So it depends on what altcoins you see that will give a good returns in this bull run.
I don't like meme coins though, higher risk, so for me if I will do altcoins DCA, I will choose those in the top 10-20.

I just shared my views on the same post you posted on BTT, I don't knew you named something else on BTT, well now I know, BTW you are ranked here why not back on BTT sorry if that's personal. You can ignore to answer.
Overall my opinion here is the same that we must stop DCA BTC because it don't worth now, the right time to DCA BTC is in the bear market when we can get it cheap, then why buying it now. The right time to buy things now is alts, because alts can give more profit and yeah lose too but profit is more expected than lose. We must do DCA in alts too that's a new idea to me, as I buy alts aburptly which I realize is a bad thing, I should do DCA as well.
-

Meme is too volatile and too risky to do a DCA, but if you choose the right one, you can get a huge return. The problem is that if you can not control your emotions while holding these meme, you might end up selling all of your Meme because of the huge price drop. Unless you are a risk taker, there are people who bet on some of these meme and are willing to lose. If you are afraid to lose, meme is not a good choice for you to do a DCA.
Except for Meme, some of the top 20 or even under the top 50 coins are still viable options for DCA. Just make sure you look into their background and the use case for that token or coin.
-

Do not on memecoin it does have a high risk and I have lost capital several times on memecoin, not to scare but in reality you will lose a lot.
DCA on top altcoins will be very good considering some narratives say the altcoin season will occur in 2025 I think this could be the case.
-
Until now, I have been doing DCA on several altcoins that I have been saving, because it is an effective tool and many other crypto believers are also using it.
If institutional investors are doing it, how much more should we who are not institutional investors, right?
As long as there is no take-off in the price of bitcoin, continue to implement DCA on crypto assets, but when it starts to rally, stop it because it might just stress you out even more and affect your emotions.

I am still DCAing, whether Id sell them on this year or for the next cycle, I do not mind. I have taken some profits and I am happy with that. And that is why I am going take more into accumulation to recover how much I have sold. It is not too late to DCA btc and stop thinking that it is already expensive because that will give us the delay in accumulation and will believe our thoughts that we should have stopped already and go elsewhere to accumulate alts instead.

Considering the fundamental analysis of Bitcoin, it is really more appropriate to always buy than altcoins. You will not lose if you have a long-term projection, because we all know that Bitcoin price really keeps going up for a yearly time frame... need a lot of spare cash too so we can be calm in holding and DCA...
However, I see the peak of BTC price will happen in the near future, before there will be a bearish moment... so maybe not buying BTC until June is a good move so that our average purchase can be a little lower.... yes this is just a prediction, so there is also a possibility of being wrong. Just adjust it to your risk profile... if you want to find something a little riskier, altcoins are very good to consider.

While that makes sense to wait for the time it goes low before buying again. I just cannot do that because instead of buying, I might be able to spend the money I have on other things if I wont be buying any amount of bitcoin with that money. And that is why I want to spend it in buying bitcoin and simply do the actual DCA no matter what is the real situation of the market for this year.

there is the dca where you wait and buy but there is dca where you just buy it on the scheduled time periodically
what you decide to do should be entirely up to your own preference if you are a little tight on budget then waiting might be the best idea but like you said if you struggle with saving the money then you should just buy it right away some people are too indecisive that if they wait they will eventually lose the chance to buy and that is what we do not want to happen

You are the diamond hands we always talk about. As I understand, you are continuing to DCA in the long term regardless of any price that BTC might reach. Perhaps your target for BTC is extremely high, or you want to dedicate these BTC to the next generations because you have no plans to take profits for yourself.
I'm quite curious about your plans for the BTC you have been accumulating. I just want to take 100% profit this year because I think 2025 is the best year of this uptrend, after that the crypto winter will come and we will talk about reasonable price ranges to buy back BTC. Are you not concerned about the crypto winter of 2026?

I would say historically you have made more losses because you have not had enough Bitcoin in your portfolio.
So I would suggest to DCA into Bitcoin above Altcoins.
I also would have thought that there is no need to DCA into Altcoins because they are all so affordable you can just buy whole Altcoins.
I think DCA is suited more to Bitcoin because its almost impossible to buy whole Bitcoins now.

I would say historically you have made more losses because you have not had enough Bitcoin in your portfolio.

I don't care about the number of tokens, I just want to get a percentage return on investment. I DCA BTC not because BTC is too expensive to buy 1 BTC with 100K USD immediately, DCA helps me minimize risk during the crypto winter.
Similarly, altcoins are neither expensive nor cheap, as long as they can increase in value significantly, they are all worth investing in. I think DCA is also suitable for them if investors want to diversify risk and want to accumulate in the long term with monthly salary.

Do not on memecoin it does have a high risk and I have lost capital several times on memecoin, not to scare but in reality you will lose a lot.
Indeed. Meme coins are riskier because they have no clear fundamentals. If we want to have safe investment, it is better to focus on fundamental coins. Especially those top coins with clear fundamentals. ETH, BNB, ADA, DOT, POL, XLM, and SOL are some examples of top coins with strong fundamental coins. Only focus on these coins if we want to avoid too high risks.
DCA on top altcoins will be very good considering some narratives say the altcoin season will occur in 2025 I think this could be the case.
We only do DCA on top coins. There is no need to do DCA on random coins. Moreover for those new coins, it is not recommended to do DCA. Personally, I only do DCA for BTC and ETH. I only think these coins that deserve to be the priority for my crypto asset.

DCA helps us reduce investment risk: we always have the opportunity to buy potential tokens at the bottom during long crypto winters. DCA is not for unstable tokens like memecoins, at least I have not seen anyone DCA PEPE or BONK. DOGE and SHIB are exceptions because they have already established their own positions in the market.
Investors should be cautious when choosing altcoins for DCA: top coins and native coins should be prioritized as they are supported by a healthy ecosystem. If investors make the wrong choice, DCA will not bring peace of mind and profits to their accounts.
-
If we want to take the risk on making investment on altcoins, then we should never attempt on making a long one with altcoins, because some of them fall over time and still go more dip to the extent of not reaching the last high the got and stated falling, some traders will go short on some altcoins because they know that it's likely for bear to come than bull over the coin in future trade.
-
I don't like meme coins though, higher risk, so for me if I will do altcoins DCA, I will choose those in the top 10-20.

wrong choice if you do the DCa system on meme coins, not the profit that is obtained but the ongoing loss where meme coins are flash coins to seek profit when the market is up and can be used to cover losses when the market was sluggish before

For most memecoins, DCA is not a suitable strategy. I also only consider memecoins as lottery tickets, which I buy a small amount of for fun during the hottest phase of the uptrend after taking profits from BTC and many other altcoins.
Investors should apply DCA to BTC and top altcoins to maintain the highest level of safety for their accounts. Memecoins are for playing and having fun, not for investment. However, some memecoins have actually become valuable and deserve to be DCA like DOGE and SHIB. They don't have the x10 price increase as quickly as many other memecoins in the market, but they may recover and create new ATHs this season.

You choose the wrong memecoin and it will just be thrown in the trash because the devs are just farming and then doing a rug pull very quickly.
The top memecoins with a strong community are better, but of course the main portfolio should have the top altcoin fund BTC, I now have it all and try to survive in times when the market is not doing well and do DCA with the money that is left.

Picking out assets with reference to the crypto world does need extra focus so that we do not fall for investments that seemingly hold little promise. All in all, tokens with a developed community can be useful additions to a portfolio, but it is still best to get the most significant part of the funds invested into relatively stable assets compared to meme tokens with quite questionable fundamentals, such as BTC or other significant altcoins. That is, if the market is not in its best condition, then the milestone of managing the portfolio carefully is a great step towards survival. That is why to maintain the value of assets in the long-term aspect, we can also try to make gradual purchases using the remaining fund and which we usually refer to as DCA. Avoiding such problems seem to be virtually impossible and with proper planning they will always be part of the process towards improved result on the markets.

DCA is a long-term investment strategy when we believe the value of that asset will increase in the long run. BTC and ETH are such assets in the crypto market, while memecoins and many other altcoins are not as reliable.
The right choice from the beginning is as important as our efforts in the implementation of the investment strategy. I never choose low-cap tokens in the market for DCA, even when DCA altcoins, I always choose top coins.
-
DCA helps us reduce investment risk: we always have the opportunity to buy potential tokens at the bottom during long crypto winters.
It doesn't only reduce the risk on investment, it also enables people who have limited funds to build their portfolio gradually. Also, we can buy the coins at any low price. So, we may get the optimum way to buy the coins with small funds. Yep, during winters or bearish period is the best time to do DCA.
DCA is not for unstable tokens like memecoins, at least I have not seen anyone DCA PEPE or BONK. DOGE and SHIB are exceptions because they have already established their own positions in the market.
People don't make meme coins to be their main asset. That's why they never do DCA for meme coins. Also, meme coins are too risky, it doesn't deserve to buy gradually for a long run.

- Do you think investors should stop DCA BTC to DCA altcoins with the expectation of making bigger profits in the 2025 altseason?
The general strategy usually employed into buying altcoins is that the buyer invests a huge amount once and waits to see it grow. I rarely hear of investors who keep investing in an altcoin, especially one that is not among the most popular ones.
DCA-ing into BTC is still wise since there is still a lot of opportunity in the future.

We must be smart in choosing altcoins to invest in if we intend to buy them in the hope that they will increase when the altcoin season comes, and I think the top altcoins can be a worthy choice to choose.
But it all depends on each of us, because of course we are the ones who analyze it ourselves. I only advise to always use money that is free, not for living expenses.
-
Or maybe this should even be the best time to apply the use of DCA for the investment we are interested to take in bitcoin, because the market is falling and at the same time rising and we may not be able to accurately predict for which direction it may be heading towards except we deepens the way on how we speculate on the market and read the candles and study the charts very well.

Yes, the top altcoins are a safe option to take, but that doesn't necessarily provide an advantage when the altseason is ongoing, as some of the top altcoins are also unclear on their development or will just be at prices they shouldn't be.
It also depends on how the community and developers of the altcoin, if it is always active and a lot of marketing is done, it will have more potential to rise higher in this cycle. Don't get caught up with altcoins that will only waste your time.

Right, don't get caught up in it, because it would be a shame if our holding time runs out because of coins that have no potential.
Well, some people also hope for new projects, that's not wrong, it's just that in analyzing it we have to go deeper. Because new projects have not been proven to be resistant to shocks and that's what actually becomes a risk. While old coins, we can already see that they are more resistant when they get shocks.

This depends on each individual's vision and investment strategy. Those who regret missing out on BTC at the bottom and want to enter the market when BTC price is above 100K can take this opportunity to buy BTC below 100K USD, or large companies and organizations looking to diversify their portfolio can start accumulating BTC during this correction.
For an investor who has been DCA BTC since 2022 and believes in the cyclical nature of the crypto market, I don't have a strong enough reason to continue DCA BTC aggressively. I feel that this market, especially BTC, is overheated. I think altseason will be the necessary cooling off for the crypto market to avoid a sudden collapse in the first half of 2025.

Top altcoins must be the priority, they are the most recommended altcoins for investment. As far as I know, the top altcoins will easily skyrocket earlier in the altcoins season. However, there is no 100% guarantee for all altcoins to increase high in the altcoins season, whether top altcoins or random altcoins.
But it all depends on each of us, because of course we are the ones who analyze it ourselves. I only advise to always use money that is free, not for living expenses.
Sure, each person may have different way in investment. They will also have a different strategy in managing their money/capital/funds. But I agree that we must use safer money, it is better to avoid using loan money.

Only Saylor and Mstr dare to borrow money from investors to accumulate BTC because they have a long-term strategy and are capable of enduring short-term losses. Ordinary investors should not borrow to invest in crypto even if they only buy BTC and ETH. The stress from loans and interest rates can cause them to lose their composure and be easily defeated by crypto losses.
DCA should be done rationally with assets that have real value. Top coins are safe choices for investors because their potential has been confirmed by the market. If investors are confused about choosing altcoins, ETH will be the top choice because it is Digital Oil, second only to BTC - Digital Gold!
-
The simple answer - there is no wrong time to DCA Bitcoin.
At any price.
;)

Wow, especially if it is borrowed money, I do not recommend it at all. Although there is an opportunity to make a profit, the point to always remember is that the market is not always good and there are times when we are in situations that we do not want to see.
Therefore, I really avoid using borrowed money, if I had to choose, maybe I would prefer to sell the property I own to invest rather than borrow.

Bitcoin is the only coin whose future is better than all other coins. You can certainly DCA Altcoins but it should be after prioritizing Bitcoin. Bitcoin is always worth investing in. If you don't want to make quick profit and don't have greed then you will always be happy to invest in Bitcoin because even though Bitcoin doesn't get big profit as fast as Alt, here you can invest much more safely. So it's totally up to each individual to decide which coin to DCA

Conservative investors or those with huge capital will only trust and invest in BTC rather than risk investing in altcoins, which is a wise move in this market. However, I believe that history will repeat itself and altseason will come, so I want to make more profit from altcoins, many investors have similar thoughts so they also start to shift to altcoins.
This year, the uptrend will take place, both BTC and altcoins will increase in price and bring profits to crypto investors. I hope I can take profit at the right time to leave the market with the biggest profit, ready to DCA BTC in 2026 & 2027 :)

Signs of altseason seem to be happening, we see a lot of altcoins starting to turn green and yes, DCA Altcoins for the short term might be the right choice... at least for the next month
I see XRP and LTC experiencing a significant increase, followed by other altcoins which also even experienced an increase of +40% in a week...Keep your eyes on altcoins starting today, and don't forget to buy some altcoins to hold for the near term.in the previous cycle it happened like this too, where after BTC hit ATH, then altcoins started going crazy and skyrocketing.. it should happen in the near future.

We do know that there's really that specific time or market trend on which this will really be that focusing into altcoin season. DCA'ing whether on Bitcoin or with altcoins will really be that definitely be depending on you on which at the moment or time you will be considering out such option because if you keep yourself being hindered about on such decision then it will really be that up to you whether you do choose up Bitcoin or altcoins because it all matters about self preference when it comes into this aspect. It will really be that up to you on where you do choose up.

I think the best skill of an investor is timing in the financial market. Confidence and strategy are sometimes not as important as timing to make timely decisions and maximize profits.
Timing is difficult and if an investor can time the market correctly, he will go all-in instead of DCA. DCA is mainly based on long-term belief in an asset, such as BTC and top altcoins. I have completed my BTC DCA strategy and am gradually shifting to DCA altcoins as my belief is leaning towards altseason this year.
-
- In my honest view on that matter, I don't see any problem with BTC and altcoins even if Bitcoin exceeds $100k each, and with altcoins it's fine as long as you're sure about the crypto assets you choose.
The only problem with alts is if you choose the wrong assets to buy and the time and effort you put into it will be wasted for sure..

When BTC surpasses $100K, the market has FOMO and I believe both BTC and Altcoins will rise strongly to bring profits to investors this season. However, greed makes me believe in altseason so I want to change my strategy to focus more on altcoins.
Sometimes the initial choice is more important than the effort throughout the process, many investors have DCA ETH instead of BTC, they received lower returns than BTC holders. I also DCA both ETH and am not really satisfied but I hope everything will change when ETH/BTC will soon reverse and rise strongly!

Wrong alts may be those that are new, but by choosing the oldies - you will never miss with them, especially with SOL, in my opinion.
Nothing wrong with getting more of it, as well LTC.

Now that I'm reading this again, my answer is firmly on the side of, "no! Don't do that!". Because alts have not demonstrated that they are ready to go up, and it might be months before they are dragged up by the markets too. Just play it safe and invest in BTC. High reward -> high risk.

The way I look at the Bitcoin, it's like a time bomb that's about to explode. There is a political interest in Bitcoin and everyone is looking forward to see what Donald Trump is going to do with Bitcoin because we have seen him launch meme coins with his families, I'm not sure if he will come this far only to abandoned us here, he has really sent a message clearly to be interested in crypto market.
Everyone will be holding right to their Bitcoin for what next the Bitcoin will trabfrom from now henceforth. Perhaps the reserve will come earlier than we think or it will come later but overall everyone is bullish right now.

We can use a reverse logic: High risk - High return, and altcoins fit this criteria.
As someone who DCA both BTC and altcoins, I'm seeing BTC price stagnate while altcoins are poised to explode with many exciting narratives like L2, DePIN, AI agents, DeFi or RWA. Profiting from BTC could allow me to take a bit more risk with altcoins in the hopes of greater returns than simply holding my BTC right now.
Large cap investors or those with high safety standards should stick with BTC, it’s the king of crypto!
-
I can't trust DCA altcoins because these altcoins sometimes go up thousands of percent but sometimes they also become trash coins. I'd rather DCA Bitcoin because Bitcoin is the first native coin in crypto.
The risk is much greater than the profit if DCA is for altcoins. Bitcoin also definitely has a risk because there will definitely be a drop and it can be as low as -80% but with DCA Bitcoin we will also feel safe so there is no such thing as anxiety, this is according to my experience.

This depends on each person's investment strategy. I believe the market will still have an altseason, so I'm switching to DCA altcoins in 2025. If you continue to believe that only BTC has long-term value, you can skip altcoins and focus on BTC.
Right now, BTC.D has increased, and BTC price is more stable than altcoins price. BTC holders are in a better psychological state compared to altcoins holders, however this can be completely reversed in the next few months during altseason.

price is extremely volatile, i don't think you can consider this stable but it does looks like it still in the price where it could go up while the chart shows its not sending one red candle to the ground. this could just be squeezing what they could get from the weak hands.
if you are bullish i guess you still can be DCAing now after all you won't be selling it til the price is right for the picking. some speculators are saying price could dip to 85k, this should be a good price to buy and then sell when its up again.

DCA is a suitable pattern for bitcoin accumulation on a gradual process, so i don't expect for this strategy to work perfectly than with bitcoin which was the intended coin, as for altcoins, i will not advise to use this like that, because not all of them this same pattern can work for, as some will fall and hardly rises, if we look at it from the other aspects we could afford on, then we should invest base on the amount we can be able to lose, if anything strange happened along with the altcoin we have been investing on.

Every strategy of course has different impact, on which depends the chosen asset and how the market fluctuates. Of what is regarding the purchase of bitcoin for example, accumulating the currency gradually is generally a pretty decent strategy in constructing value that is not much impacted by short term volatility. However, if the same pattern is used in operating altcoins, the result may not be as good as it could be in managing bitcoins due to the high volatility and higher risks associated with altcoins. Hence, reasoning in regards to how much funding can be given without putting too much pressure on the financials it does indeed make sense. In this way, we can invest with a clearer mind and can avoid the investment which can put us in pressure in the future.

if you have enough budget for both then why not? you can invest for bitcoin in the long run while taking advantage of altcoins' volatility and earn some now already

i dont know maybe there are just more bitcoin holders than altcoins so it seems like they are psychologically more stable but i guess since bitcoin is seen as the one to hold despite the dips and rises so holders are psychologically more prepared for anything either way i think both have holders that are easily affected by other factors

- If there are fanatics in bitcoin or altcoins, I'm sure they won't stop doing Dca on assets that they want to hold for the long-term. Then there's no one here who can tell an investor to stop doing DCA on bitcoin or cryptocurrency because that's their choice.
For example, the majority of my holdings are altcoins and so far I've been doing DCA on them, and I'm pretty sure I'll make a profit on all the altcoins and meme coins I hold before this bull season ends.
-
DCA is applicable to all coins If you depend on only one coin and invest only for one reason it will not bring you much profit book and you will lose a lot in bear season. That's why I always invest in Bitcoin as well as Alt by following the DCA method. Bitcoin is undoubtedly one of the best and the mother coin of the entire crypto world. So one should keep big investment in it and simultaneously invest in other Altcoins and it should always be according to DCA method.

Agree. It is better to do DCA on Bitcoin because Bitcoin is a safe coin. Meanwhile altcoins, they can be dead coins if we choose the wrong altcoins. It may deserve to do DCA on the top altcoins like BNB, ETH, XRP, and some top fundamental altcoins only. However, if we want to make it safe, we only focus the DCA on Bitcoin. I personally only do DCA on Bitcoin, but I started the DCA from the bearish season.

I think DCA should only be used for assets that are truly valuable and whose prices will gradually increase in the long run. Gold, real estate, and BTC are such assets, while many other tokens should not be chosen for DCA, or only DCA in 1 season.
Many traders do not like DCA, they want to control risk tightly with Take profit and Stop loss. DCA is not part of their investment strategy because if they choose the wrong token, DCA will only bring losses instead of profits.
-
I would like to know your opinion on this issue:
- Have you ever applied the DCA strategy in the crypto market?
- Do you think investors should stop DCA BTC to DCA altcoins with the expectation of making bigger profits in the 2025 altseason?
Of course I have adopted the DCA strategy in cryptocurrency. I have always adopted the DCA method for investing in Bitcoin. I have never adopted the DCA method for investing in Altcoins. However, I think it is always better to adopt the DCA method for Bitcoin. Anyone can adopt the DCA method for investing in Bitcoin or Altcoins but always remember that using the DCA method is the best for Bitcoin. If you compare Altcoins with Bitcoin right now, you will get complete proof.[/list]

Yeah people are free to choose DCA in any coin not necessarily bitcoin.
But I myself prefer DCA for bitcoin specifically no other altcoins because we know altcoins are always difficult to recover when they have fallen let alone bearish season.
Then the only DCA investment remains bitcoin.
It's not that I don't invest in altcoins but not in the DCA way.
-
I can't trust DCA altcoins because these altcoins sometimes go up thousands of percent but sometimes they also become trash coins.
Absolutely, even if you lose value after investing in Bitcoin, there is nothing to worry because if Bitcoin does not increase for 1-2 consecutive years, we will see Bitcoin's price increase every 4 years. This confidence is not possible in the case of any other coin. We got the ATH of the top altcoin Ether in the crypto market in the last bull run, but this time in the bull run it has not yet touched the ATH but has started to decrease further in the long term. That is why it is safest to do DCA in Bitcoin. It will give returns in the long term which may not be possible in the case of any other coin.

Of course, we are free to choose here, whether altcoins or Bitcoin. But for the majority of us, we stick to even because it's the one that really gives us profit, maybe not as big as some altcoins, but it's solid and not as riskier as altcoins.
But we can apply DCA to any altcoins that we want, but we should prepare ourselves with so much volatility that you might go back and just invest on Bitcoin and then you can sleep at night.

well that's what the profits think is not like altcoins but rest assured if you do DCA in bitcoin the profits will be solid throughout the year, so this method continues to be done.
Actually people are free to choose any coin, but we must know altcoins have high volatility this can be a big risk for you if the altcoin falls to the bottom.
You probably won't be able to sleep well.

Really no one has been disappointed by doing DCA in Bitcoin and holding long term with it. Because since the birth of Bitcoin, every halving creates a new ATH. And if the ATH can be completed in this way, no one will lose by investing in Bitcoins if he waits patiently and does not sell his Bitcoins early. If he panics and sells bitcoins after seeing the price fall, he will not be able to profit no matter how much he invests according to DCA. Profiting from crypto requires both patience and the ability to accept risk. Only then it is possible to successfully profit by investing in Crypto or Bitcoin

Altcoins are high-risk, but high risk comes with high rewards. Experienced investors can analyze market flow and adjust their DCA portfolio to gain higher returns compared to DCAing only BTC. I think now is a good time to DCA altcoins because altcoins are currently very cheap compared to BTC.
Most of my portfolio is in BTC and I have taken some profits, so I can stay completely calm and rational in the face of any market fluctuations. This is the result of my BTC DCA strategy throughout the crypto winter :)

Really? you wanna take focus DCA on altcoin than bitcoin? be sure firstly how significant dumping of altcoin than bitcoin but altcoin take more longer time get recovery back than how easily for bitcoin. Its bad ideas I think if want take investing or focus o DCA at altcoin than bitcoin have bigger opportunity to earn much profit although have raised more higher price.
Bigger risk take focus on DCA altcoin because depend or following with bitcoin price down few percent altcoin have much moving dump than bitcoin, and when bitcoin going up very difficult for altcoin keep raise to higher price.

To do DCA on altcoins is not the problem, the main problem is which alt do you want to even DCA and wouldn't disappoint you later in the future. I can DCA with Solana because they have an impressive season this bull run but what if next bull run they refused to move like this? What if the sol with FTX dumped on the market? So many unpredictability because altcoins are altcoins.
Look at the performance of Ethereum, that coin used to be the favorite coin of many people after Bitcoin but that coin is one or the most useless altcoins this seasons, always dumping when others are doing well. There is no right altcoin to DCA, just but the ones you can and hold till you see profit.

I understand the risks associated with focusing on altcoins, but I also believe in the cyclical nature of market flows and the existence of altseasons in this market. Currently, I'm able to purchase altcoins at quite a low price, and I'm happy about that.
The decline in altcoin prices is a gift from the market, not a punishment for investors who apply the DCA strategy. I hope that altseason will arrive by the end of this year and bring significant profits to those who believe in altcoins :)

BTC is volatile too, however - we know for a fact that it's not the problem for BTC to go up after a correction.
And alts, mostly, follow BTC. That's why we need to diversify, but not too much - mostly in the bigger caps and the favorites of this season.

The pattern and work are the same if you want to HODL long-term BTC or coins that are considered potential and fall into the good investment category. If it's just a temporary swing and taking short-term profits, it's better to take advantage of market volatility.
In terms of profit, of course, it will be different in terms of percentage and scale. The superior one is still the long-term HODL.

Some traders have better returns than long-term holders, however they are all very experienced and use leverage in many trades. DCA is the right strategy for safe assets like BTC, investors will almost always make a profit if they buy regularly over 4-5 years.
Currently BTC price is being resisted at 100K USD, I have stopped DCAing BTC to focus on DCAing altcoins. Of course, I choose the best altcoins: they are the native coins of the top ecosystems in the market.

Is this the $4000 amount you are using in Dca for the crypto assets you mentioned? If yes, I admire you for the dedication and belief that you have in those assets, though I also hold some of the others, though not as large as the amount you are allocating for them.
Because honestly, that $4000 amount will help my family a lot because it is also a big amount for us here in our country.

For those who are experienced, of course, short-term trading can be very profitable compared to long-term, but of course, for those who are already smart at analysis.
Agree that DCA is indeed a very good scheme when used for bitcoin, which is indeed at a low risk level, aka safe, by continuing to do it until the next halving period.
There is nothing wrong with doing DCA on altcoins because the altcoin season is actually just a matter of time and that opportunity can be used well.

SOL, LTC, ETH - all will have their time to shine.
We just didn't reach it yet.

DCA is just a way for investors to take advantage of time and their stable income instead of competing with professional traders in this market. We should use our strengths instead of confronting the strengths of others :)
Most altcoins will fail in this market, so even with DCA, choosing potential altcoins is still a process that requires seriousness and experience. I think ETH and BNB are quite good choices, XRP and SOL are also attractive but unfortunately, I didn't dare to take risks with them during the last crypto winter.

- It's simple, as long as there is an opportunity to buy, let's just do it and good timing is when the market is in a correction, because if we do this during an upgrade, it is certain that many will only fall victim to Fomo in the end.
And in my opinion, this is what other communities in this field of the crypto space do as far as I know, so this is what I do too, which for me is also helpful.

Yeah numbers are very relative living in the state of New Jersey , USA and having say 100,000 a year income is okay but not great.
While I am sure that having 100,000 usd a year in your country is really good making you wealthy.
My monies make me average for my location.

Some traders are willing to buy at a high price to sell at an even higher price, and they have profited by buying BTC at 75K USD and selling at 105K USD. They are experienced investors, they understand the market and always know what to do.
I'm not as good as them and I believe many new investors also don't have enough experience to make timely and accurate decisions. I can only use the advantage of time through the DCA strategy for BTC and altcoins. It may not bring huge profits in the short term but it helps me have a more stable mindset in the face of any market fluctuations.

True to what you said, this is one way that can be done, because DCA is still a very good way to do it if you don't have a lot of capital.
I think there must be courage in making decisions for the time that is almost approaching the altcoin season where there is an opportunity for that. Indeed,, ethereum and BNB are the best choices for now because their reputation is very good and always contributes to their holders.

Such significant differences in economies and living standards. $100k a year is a very big amount in most third-world countries because $100k as a total net worth would make someone wealthy, earning that much every year would make them too much money to handle unless they are very reckless with money and have no money management skills.
Some people just don't know how they should use the money they have to make more money with it. You are doing great, of course, and I have always had the wish to at least have a reasonably large amount that I can use to trade cryptocurrencies and earn a living only with that, so far, I haven't been able to get near that wish of mine, but maybe one day.
By the way, if I was in your place, I would barely buy and hold altcoins for long term because my belief on most altcoins isn't that much after what I have seen happening with some projects in the past. :)

- to be frank, I am just now implementing DCA in bitcoin and will do so until the next halving or bull run. Because honestly I am focused on altcoins to hold this bull run not in bitcoin. Of course, this is my first time facing a bull run so I want to experience if this bull also earns a pretty good or decent profit to say the least.
So, I see no reason to stop implementing DCA in crypto assets that we want to accumulate if we really see potential in the future. This is what short and long-term holders often do here in the field of crypto space.

Do you want to focus on DCA BTC right now to prepare for the next season? I think you have a huge capital and are ready to hold BTC for the long term, and also DCA altcoins to have more profit in the uptrend.
I myself have no longer focused on DCA BTC because I believe that the crypto winter is waiting for us in 2026. I am waiting for the opportunity to take profits at the end of this year to make a profit and DCA BTC in 2027.

It depends on our choice, and it is actually easy if we have a lot of capital and stable finances, so it will not interfere with our finances for our daily needs.
It will be different if we are still not financially stable, maybe we will start thinking about selling it now, or start selling it little by little. That is all not wrong, because this is also the benefit that we have been waiting for when consistently doing DCA.

DCA is a strategy that can eliminate the psychological pressures of investing in crypto, especially when we choose truly valuable assets like BTC. Once you have accumulated a lot of BTC, investors can easily realize profits in an uptrend, thereby gaining a solid mentality to continue holding altcoins despite temporary losses.
Many of my friends have gone all-in, have made profits but have also left the market in losses. They don't have the patience to DCA, FOMO and media make them choose new memecoins and lose all their capital and profits.
-
If altcoins show stronger potential growth, I'll hvae some funds on their while still keeping my btc. Adjusting the strategy is the key to minimize loses and still maximize my earnings. Timing the market is risky so i'll stay balanced and adapt based on trends.

some people do not have enough funds to invest both in bitcoin and altcoins they think that instead of putting their money on altcoins might as well just put it in bitcoin no matter how small it is but if you have extra funds you may be wanting to put it in some altcoins you think can be profitable just make sure that you choose one that can really be profitable

Bitcoin first - everything else would wait.
Because BTC has the most potential and stability together, comparing anything with it on this scale 8)

What often happens is, like you said, that not everyone can have more funds and can buy both at once, so it is not surprising that priority will be given to buying them, and it is not impossible that the choice is on bitcoin compared to altcoin.
That does not mean that altcoins are not good, but only because the funds are not there and if there are extra funds, I think what you said is right, that maybe they will buy potential altcoins.

The main focus should still be on BTC, because it's the safest part of your portfolio and its future, in my opinion.
Both can be utilized well, but only one will prevail for sure.

I'm a prime example of what you're saying I only had enough money to DCA BTC during the crypto winter and now I want to use that money to invest in altcoins to maximize the impact of this year's altseason. Some temporary losses from altcoins have also made me quite disappointed but everything is normal in this crypto market I'm ready to continue to hold and wait for the uptrend
For altcoins DCA becomes more difficult because investors will need to choose potential tokens to accumulate If they choose SOL and SUI they will succeed and have better profits than BTC Conversely if they choose ETH they will have to accept stagnation and poor price performance compared to BTC :)

If the funds are limited to investment, Bitcin will be the first choice. But if there is a lot of funds, we can buy Altcoin as a diverfy and add opportunities to benefit.
I at the beginning of investing also focused on APDA Bitcoin when the funds I had were small, but I tried to add crypto assets I bought Altcoin with the profit that I got.

Yes, Adopting something based with the current conditions is indeed rational. By the time you are already looking for something that already exist, it is good to go for it with much stocked up confidence of its capability to run in the market. Periodically, having space for that, too, can become a method of how that comes into being. Regarding this, there are a number of things that may be done when it is possible to do so, usually when one is trying to make something work better. This is due to the fact that one is able to see how something may grow from the steps that have been made prior to their completion thus is the indication that many things are possible if one is willing to perform task and make something in a gradual manner.

The main focus should still be on BTC, because it's the safest part of your portfolio and its future, in my opinion.
Both can be utilized well, but only one will prevail for sure.
Agree. The priority should be always in Bitcoin. But we must know the best time to buy Bitcoin, and we must know the time that may be too risky to buy Bitcoin. For now, I think it is better to wait and see, just ensure that the market is quite stable first. If everything looks good again, we can start buying Bitcoin again. Sure, we can buy altcoins also, but make sure to buy most recommended altcoins. It is because there are many altcoins that become useless coins.

I agree with prioritizing capital for BTC, but that doesn't mean we should allocate 100% of our capital and focus solely on BTC throughout the entire season. The initial phase always belongs to BTC, so BTC price usually recovers faster than altcoins, but in the later phase, investors can choose the most potential altcoins, for example, ETH, XRP, ADA, SOL.
Right now, we are seeing many altcoins recover quite strongly after Trump's announcement about the crypto reserve fund. This could be an important catalyst to drive the price increase of altcoins and trigger altseason in the next few months.

I have to agree with what you said that, indeed, the first scheme is to stick to bitcoin and not to spare any potential altcoins that are worth choosing, because there is always a chance that they can provide results that will be as good or even better.
DT's announcement was highly anticipated and the reality of what was said gave the best news at that time and was received positively by the market with the increase in bitcoin, even though it is currently correcting again.

It looks like bitcoin has started to rise and will likely touch $100K again.
Everyone hopes for Donald Trump, and I am also waiting for the price of coins to touch ATH soon. Both bitcoin and the top altcoins that I hold.
During a correction, we should stay calm and buy coins that have the potential to rise.

True. Although we prioritize Bitcoin, it is no need to put all the money in Bitcoin 100%. We can divide the money into some top altcoins, too. ETH, BNB, SOL, ADA, XRP, DOT, or TRX are some top altcoins. These altcoins have good fundamentals, they are not like meme coins which have no reasons to stay a long time. Even Doge, it is still too risky for holding/investing.
Sure, every good news from Trump makes crypto prices increase. Moreover, it is the news that have a big relationship with crypto. Trump announced that US will have crypto reserves (BTC, ETH, SOL, ADA, XRP).

Be aware of the current Bitcoin price behaviour because a few days ago there was a raise in the price which lasted only a few minutes after which the price fell back down, which means this is a trap set by the big fishes which get rid of careless traders who thought that the Bitcoin will green again. Well, yes, it is rather accurate to state that Price Correction is followed by a period, during which there is only waiting until the Price goes up. This way, if we hold Bitcoin, it will not be complicated for us to remain patient. There is always policy factor and other global factors that affect how the markets for digital assets approach and formulate their dealings. When positions rise and fall, one of the values amenable to anyone linked to it is patience.

In the most recent meeting, we had a lot of good news confirming the maturity of BTC and crypto in the US, but it triggered a sell the news event. BTC price has not been able to recover to 100K and dragged altcoins down to low price ranges. I think many investors were waiting for this moment to take profits, and many others had too high expectations for Trump's speech.
Adjusting your investment portfolio rhythmically to optimize profits from bitseason and altseason is an art. Each investor has their own aesthetic, I still believe in the potential of altcoins so I still allocate a portion of my capital to them, despite them being weaker than BTC in terms of profitability.

- Have you ever applied the DCA strategy in the crypto market?
Yes I have done DCA strategy in bitcoin from more than 1 year back. And this is what I think we don't have to be in panic because it is the best risk management strategy.
- Do you think investors should stop DCA BTC to DCA altcoins with the expectation of making bigger profits in the 2025 altseason?
I think that no matter what the market situation is, it would be nothing but foolish to abandon the Bitcoin DCA strategy and adopt an altcoin DCA strategy.
If someone still wants to take the DCA strategy without doing alternatives, then I would say that if they want, they can continue with Bitcoin's DCA strategy and apply the DCA strategy to alternative coins.

It is safer to do both, but it will require long consideration, because we are given 2 choices, whether to divide the previous allocation for DCA bitcoin, or add another allocation.
Actually, this will return to our ability and do not force ourselves to do something beyond our ability. We also have to be prepared for all possibilities that will occur.
-
- It's a good method that can be utilized if it's just DCA. In fact, this has been done for a long time, even before Bitcoin was created; many people use it to save money. The same is true for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
Why it was even asked if it should suspend DCA on Bitcoin is what baffles me. It is accurate to say that DCA can be completed simultaneously
using cryptocurrency and bitcoin.

Because if one has enough funds, one can do both, I don't think there is any obstacle. However, we have to choose the higher level coins for any investment by considering the risk factors.
Even then here I will say alternative coin investment always risky so if you are doing $40 DCA investment on bitcoin I would like to suggest here for altcoin investment you should meet $5 per week. Rather than I am saying this amount just for example and always set your target on a realistic amount not the UN realistic amount otherwise you will not gonna profit on anyone of them.

Firstly, let's start by weighing obvious facts. Now from trends over the years as well as regular statistics data when you compare bitcoin to altcoins, you find out that bitcoin comes out the most successful and profitable over time 9 out of ten times.
The problem with altcoins is actually instability and high volatility. Although bitcoin too is volatile, it still appreciates compared to Altcoins.

There is no bad time doing DCA, the question is do you have the money to buy any time. You know that Bitcoin price isn't stable, today it is in bull run and tomorrow it's in bear market. Make use of both situations whenever there is money, buy as much as you want and hold it and when the time comes, you can sell for the profit you want.
DCA helps you get coins cheap and it can help you get coins at high price but average combination of these coins will bring your buy price down. Most of the OGs and institutional investors do this alot because they see future in Bitcoin, they don't buy to sell but buy to hold for long time.
-
Yes I have done DCA strategy in bitcoin from more than 1 year back. And this is what I think we don't have to be in panic because it is the best risk management strategy.
I am also very grateful to have started doing DCA little by little since last year. Although I myself may think, why didn't I do it earlier, but I believe that I still have the opportunity to do it. and this is very useful when the market has been up since November. yes even though there is still a market crash like the one we are experiencing now. But what is certain, it is true, there is no feeling of worry and panic selling when the market crashes like this.
In the future, I honestly want to start from the beginning of the bearish DCA.
-

Yep, DCA is a quite safe strategy. However, you need to apply it on the right time to make it a more effective. If you apply it now, I'm not sure it will be quite safe because we are heading the bearish season after this bullrun season. So, as long as you know the right time to apply DCA, you shouldn't panic to see the market change nowadays.
I think that no matter what the market situation is, it would be nothing but foolish to abandon the Bitcoin DCA strategy and adopt an altcoin DCA strategy.
Applying DCA can be good for Bitcoin and altcoins, but it should be in the right time (I've explained above).
By the way, Bitcoin is the priority of each person. So, everyone should continue Bitcoin DCA whenever it is the right time. Even they do altcoins DCA, it is just an alternative for sure.

The DCA method is indeed more suitable to be done when the bearish season starts, because we can buy at a lower price and hold it until the bullish season. I have done that. The earlier we do it during the bearish season, the more we will accumulate the koi coins we want to buy and in the end we will get profit during the bullish season.

For the coin selection itself, we can choose from the top 10 rankings, it is still risky but it can be safer than choosing a new coin for example.
However, if we are willing to bear the risk that we will bear, then we can choose projects that are not too old. We must do a thorough analysis of course, because trust in new coins is usually not that big unlike coins that have been able to survive for a long time.

Yes even if we choose the top 10 ranking for making invest on altcoin there is still risk even it will not goes for the all but yes there is really huge risks.
And the big reason I can say for that if we don't forgot the 2022 incident where the 4th ranked coin Luna which just make crash in one moment of a day. Many peoples losses their huge fund on that because of they trust blindly that coin on top ranking.
And that is why even we want to do make investment on altcoin even on the top ten we must care about the investment amount.

DCA does not require investors to constantly BTC regardless of price fluctuations, DCA only requires long-term capital stability. Investors can improve the effectiveness of the DCA investment strategy with a little basic understanding of the market: the 4-year cycle, the opportunity to buy cheap BTC 1 year after ATH...
Another important thing is that investors can hold BTC and sell BTC reasonably, and take advantage of great opportunities with altcoins. Currently holding BTC is still the simplest and most popular way in the market, but I believe that altseason will happen soon and help many altcoins become famous thanks to their price increase.

Truly, that's the case.
However, DCA is DCA for a reason. You can buy at any price and have results at any price range, however, they may not be just as big as you may envision them.

Now 16 years have passed since the invention of Bitcoin, and Bitcoin has a market cap of around two trillion dollars and is above eighty thousand dollars. So, whether it is DCA investment or short-term investment, it would be foolish to expect skyrocketing prices from here.
Still, I think if someone can hold Bitcoin for at least three to four years, even with the DCA method, they can gain two to five times the profit in the next bull season.

It's true we can hardly expect BTC to 100x in every season, but we did have 20x for BTC in the 2021 season, and currently, the BTC price can be considered to have 7x since the 2022 bottom. If BTC can reach 150K, that would be a 10x event. Opportunities are always available for long-term holders.
If investors want higher returns, they should pay attention to ETH, XRP, SOL, and BNB. Altcoins often yield higher profits if they are well pumped and manipulated. That's why many investors are taking the opportunity to accumulate more altcoins instead of just focusing on BTC at this time.

It's just the fact that BTC never disappointed anyone who hodled it appropriately, whereas with alts.. you can't say that much about hodling most of them.
Only big caps and only if the BTC itself is propelled forward.

When we can hold Bitcoin well, we can be sure to receive very good profits and rarely, when holding bitcoin for a long time, will it cause a loss, but instead the profits that can be obtained. Of course, it is very different from if we held altcoins, because we have to sort out and find those that are indeed very potential so that they will not be detrimental in time.
If you are right about holding altcoins, the profits are also no less than if we held bitcoin, once again, as long as the altcoins we hold are right.
-

I think there is something wrong with your calculations, because even though bitcoin was at its highest during the previous bull season, it still increased by 10x from its low rate during the previous bear season. And 100k 100x expecting from a season it quite over expectation because we passed the early age of bitcoin it can be possible now in only to the new upcoming coins but there is also high risk.
Now the early investment has gone far away now we have to think realistic about the pump so I think our expectations should be now for under 10x. ::)

Big caps are the answer.
But the biggest answer of them all remains BTC going long-term.
Nothing beats the results and stability on such an investment path.

I don't see any problems here. I've said that the BTC price increased 20 times in the 2021 season, from 3.5K USD to 70K USD. Now I expect BTC to x10 from 15K USD to 150K USD.
We have market maturity and the growth rate will slow down, at least that's true for BTC. Investors who want a larger profit margin will need to allocate capital to the best altcoins in this market, and perhaps now is a good time to consider this when many altcoins have returned to their bottom price range.
-

yes because bitcoin price is down, this makes top altcoins experience a decline. This is a good time to buy but do analysis by looking at market movements. because it could be that we will see the crypto market will fall deeper.
so be careful. although the bullish season will still last long this year.

No other coin can expect anything better than Bitcoin. Because everything depends on Bitcoin. So when bitcoin price goes down 5% alt price goes down 30%+ so I never like to ignore bitcoin and invest in alt coins. You can DCA to altcoins only when you have enough bitcoin savings. The focus should be on Bitcoin first. Then if you have enough investment funds then you can invest them in some others. Currently the market is very volatile, so it would be very foolish to invest in altcoins at this time.

It is only traders and not investors that prioritise short term investment that will have this kind of mindset because they are into bitcoin investment to make quick profit. They fail to understand that bitcoin is best appreciated when viewed in terms of long term and as such end up making impulsive decisions which usually resulted to lost of income.Anyone who invested in bitcoin with the mindset of getting a higher return within a short term to me the person is not an investor but a trader. Before any investor will think of diversifying into any others asset or the crypto you mention they should have reasonable amount of bitcoin in their portfolio, if not i would advise they stick to bitcoin accumulation and not allowed themselves to be distracted and if they can't they shouldn't invest more than 10 % of there discretionary income into those cryptos.

Altcoins mostly follow the price of Bitcoin, it is reasonable if they are declining their prices as well. I'm not sure if this is a good time to buy because it is still possible to drop again. I think it is better to wait and see the price movement. I personally only want to buy again when the price is below $80k. We must be careful because it is possible to have a dump again in the near future. There is no guarantee that the price will keep increasing for the next few weeks/months.

DCA for Bitcoin should be encouraged to avoid one whale or single person amassing alot of Bitcoin to themselves, DCA helps distribute this power to avoid monopoly of this market, so very good investment approach.

Those who have known about Bitcoin and altcoins for a long time, especially those who have some idea about the previous bull run, will be able to understand very well the difference between Bitcoin and altcoins. Many of those who held altcoins have received several times more than their investment, while there are many who have lost their investment. But in the case of Bitcoin, there is no one who has lost their investment after holding for a long time. I will definitely emphasize Bitcoin for DCA. Because I don't want to take risks with my asset after a long time. That is why I am most interested in holding Bitcoin than altcoins.

it will be pretty hard to lose on bitcoin especially if you are holding for a long time you would have to get the timing wrong if you were to lose out on some profits
only profits will differ but if you hold for a long time there is always a guarantee that you will earn some in bitcoin it is just up to your strategy to maximize said profit
I will definitely emphasize Bitcoin for DCA. Because I don't want to take risks with my asset after a long time. That is why I am most interested in holding Bitcoin than altcoins.
you can still hold some altcoins if you want but you need to consider the risks and implications of a project
to me an altcoin will never be better than bitcoin so it is up to you if you will share the same sentiment

- I agree with the four coins you mentioned, because as you said, if in bitcoin your capital can be multiplied by 10 to make a profit, then in ETH, BNB, SOL, and XRP it is possible that we can get more than ten times the profit we can get. Maybe add ADA, HBAR, POL, and ALGO.
Because if there is nothing wrong with Bitcoin now, if you just want bigger earnings before this bull run ends, it is better to just divert to other altcoins.
And this is also what other holders who are in the long-term are doing.
-

This bull cycle he have seen almost contary behaviours of top altcoin. Almost all of them grow significantly lower than BTC. IMO when a FOMO agianst nations is going to start for BTC, I can see no reasons to deviate.
-
I think there is something wrong with your calculations, because even though bitcoin was at its highest during the previous bull season, it still increased by 10x from its low rate during the previous bear season. And 100k 100x expecting from a season it quite over expectation because we passed the early age of bitcoin it can be possible now in only to the new upcoming coins but there is also high risk.
Now the early investment has gone far away now we have to think realistic about the pump so I think our expectations should be now for under 10x. ::)
Yes I agree with that on the past bull season bitcoin made the 20x pump.
And I want to also say that I supposed to write 100x rather than 100k in my previous post.
And I have just said about that expecting 100x what you mention in your previous post was just overrated expectation. And moreover I also expected 150k in this bull season previously now I am thinking that it will be at least 120k.

We just should wait through 2025 to see what's in store.
I agree with the case and I think we will be able to reach at least 120k by the end of the year, if not more.

Actually, I had high expectations for this bull season at the beginning, but later the market situation forced me to change my target several times. And currently, according to many, Bitcoin will not cross 100k again, but will head towards the bear season. Although I am not expecting this because in the past, whales have created such situations every time during the bull season and benefited themselves from the panic sellers' sell, and when the market recovers and touches a new all-time price, they sell at a high price, then the bear season starts. And in this continuation, I think this situation can create ath around 120k.

This price looks hopium in my opinion. It's norm that we should expect the price of Bitcoin to go higher but the way the market is moving, there seems not to be certainty about that yet, the Bitcoin reserve that has been the bullish hype about this movement doesn't seems to follow again and people are begging beginning to lose track of the bull run.
If in the end the US government buys more Bitcoin and show to the world they actually did and everyone can tract there wallet to believe, I think we wouldn't just see $120k, we might see even more price after such move by the US.

It's about uncertainty they sometimes install by their actions in the administration. Reserves talks and actions are good, but investors hate it once something prevents everybody from thinking bullishly rather than otherwise: and that's why the are not pouring liquidity, currently.

Right now, all eyes are on BTC because it remains the asset representing the health of this entire market. If altcoins want to increase in price, they need a recovery in BTC price beforehand. If investors don't FOMO when they see BTC price increase, they won't dare invest in altcoins.
BTC price has reached the 85K USD range. If only sideways movement occurs here, I believe that altcoins price will also recover strongly, even if there can't be a new altseason or ATH yet. The good sign is that trading volume hasn't increased, meaning the whales are still staying in this market, and the opportunity for an uptrend remains intact.

It seems that not only now, but almost every time when prices are down and altcoins have not been able to achieve a better movement, and this is certainly very unfortunate. Theoretically, what you said should happen where there will be a recovery first from BTC, followed by others.
It has not been seen until now. The long-awaited alt season has started and has not been seen. Even though BTC has increased, altcoins have not been able to reach their best. We will wait a few more from BTC for altcoins to move better too.

In my personal opinion I think even if a person took the DCA strategy on the bitcoin and also the want to try DCA strategy on the altcoin would not gonna be good because right now market in on the bull season.
And that's mean the all kinds of prized already goes up position and when we will make our investment that should be must in bear season even DCA it also have the same apply.

If we will hodl for 5+ years - we can do it now.
If a person wants to get the profit in a year or so - yeah, he shouldn't go in currently, maybe through a bigger dip down the line.

Even the result could be come in only one cycle of halving I mean the bull and bear cycle.
However, the longer one can continue his DCA scheme, the more profit and asset ownership he will be able to have.
Just as we deposit our fiat currencies in the bank as an asset, if we can continue DCA by treating Bitcoin as a real digital asset, then we will definitely be more profitable here than fiat currency savings.
here is an example 10$ DCA per weekly for 5years- (https://dcabtc.com?sd=2020-03-23&sda=5_years&f=weekly&d=5_years&ac=1000&c=false)

Choosing Bitcoin as the main coin and by buying gradually through the DCA method is the best way that can be done, because the day the price of Bitcoin is more expensive.
Especially if we start buying with the DCA method two or 3 years ago, of course our profits have been large.

Bitcoin is indeed the main and top coin for the long term, but you also have to decide where you are going to get in and when you are going to get out.
This is not a lifetime investment, but a profit that you need to take.
If you already did DCA last year and stick around until the new ATH, then there are more benefits you get.
and now that the price has dropped drastically there are many more opportunities to start buying and continue accumulating Bitcoin, a brand that continues to be consistent and persistent will earn greater profits, certainly requiring good risk management and capital so as not to panic.

Agreed, going into the dips is a better option if we are going to hodl, but we never know when exactly they are going to happen.
That's why we can do it with a dip or not, but the results would still be there if we hodl long enough.

Staying true by having a FIAT reserve would be better, you can buy it back at the lowest price if the price continues to fall.
I always prepare at least 20% of my FIAT funds for events that are completely unpredictable, so that I can get the best price and of course provide a low buying average with profits that will increase when the increase comes.

DCA method is most efficient in bitcoin investments unlike altcoin investments where volatility in the negative way in that price may drop drastically could be an issue. DCA is most efficient for an asset or cryptocurrency that appreciates on an overall basis overtime and bitcoin is a perfect example which is why DCA works well with bitcoin.
Altcoins too are volatile but the certainty of price progression is quite lower compared to that of bitcoin.

Even if DCA method for Bitcoin is good, it is better to apply the DCA method in the right time. During this bullrun season, I think it is not very efficient anymore. DCA method will be more effective to apply during the bearish season. With DCA, we collect Bitcoin or altcoins gradually. It is difficult to get good amount of money in a short time.

Sure. But it is not totally true. There are some altcoins that have increasing very significant. BNB coin, SOL, and TON are 3 examples of altcoins that increased very well so far.

Theoretically, what you said is really right that the best DCA scheme is when the bearish season occurs, because it will be more effective to use, but it is also not wrong if it is used in a situation like this where prices always move quickly corrected and increase later and looking for the right time when corrected.
Clearly with gradual and consistent then what is the goal can be implemented properly.

why you should stop DCA bitcoin! it's better if you only focus on DCA bitcoin, not DCA altcoin.

There are many DCA concepts and one of them is buy the dip (it is only buying when the market is bearish consistently) but many also buy bitcoin with DCA regardless of the price and this is the most common, I myself apply DCA regardless of the price, of course with the same nominal every month, the goal is to keep my cash there because emergencies always arise at any time.

To make use of the DCA method you really don't need to be too concerned about price movement to the upside or down side if you are applying DCA Especially for the case of bitcoin. It's more because of the fact that over a longer time span bitcoin ends up progressing in price.
Nevertheless DCA would be more efficient in a time like this when we are still pretty much in a dip compared to DCA at 100k. You would ina situation like that need to wait more or if you continue you'll still end up in profit once we are back at 100k.

Well said, mate. I know when we are doing DCA, it is not always about buying a dip, but in my opinion, it really matters when buying too high. What do you think? CMIIW! As we don't know the next move after buying too high, so in short, it may disturb your total average while buying too high.
Just would like to know your opinion about it; other than that, I am not proving your saying wrong, mate. Well, if you don't mind, one more question here is, what is your expected dip for Bitcoin in the coming bear market? Any guess :)

It is true that if someone smartly starts a DCA scheme with Bitcoin during the bear market for two to three years, I think they can make good profits in that time.
But I think a DCA scheme strategy should be such that it is held for the real long-term, just like we earn money and deposit it in the bank. I am not saying that you have to invest a large amount weekly, it would be much better if you can do a very small amount that you can afford, but. The holding strategy should be increased to two to three years.

Of course, people who have done the DCA during the bearish season, they must already get enough profits. I'm very sure that many people already sold their Bitcoin when the price of BTC was still above $100k.
Yep. DCA is suitable for the long term investment. People who do DCA, they probably will hold their Bitcoin until the bullrun season. It is around 3-4 years. I also do the same way, I've bought some Bitcoin gradually during the bearish season and I plan for selling all the Bitcoin in this bullrun season.

If you really want to profit from Bitcoin investment, it is best to adopt a long-term strategy because in this case the chance of loss is very low unless someone sells their Bitcoins in an emergency situation.
And if you say it is actually true that many have booked their profits because touching the 100k milestone of bitcoin was a dream for many, in that case many have booked profits. Although I am still holding for a bigger ATH price.

You're right, I was one of those who waited and sold BTC at 100K USD because I believed 100K USD was a significant price area with strong resistance for the BTC price. Selling a small portion of my BTC has given me a good psychological balance and allowed me to start looking for investment opportunities in altcoins.
In your opinion, in which month might BTC create a new ATH, and will it lead to the growth of altcoins? Many people are still worried that BTC will absorb all the money from altcoins, and we won't have an altseason in 2025.

I do think we will see a new ATH through 2025.
And the chances of loss are indeed small if a person knows why he should hodl and why he wouldn't be in a bad situation just being patient.

Bitcoin is always synonymous with long-term investment and rarely anyone who does it fails, but it always succeeds even though the profits obtained may be slightly different because of misjudgments in determining when to start releasing it.
True, when it has touched its last ATH I can assure you that many have received a profit spillover but maybe some are still waiting for a higher price and that is only natural.

No.
On my personal note, this is a bad idea for me and I've seen results for myself and I am not going to do it at this point. It's better to DCA BTC when the market is so shaky because the bad things are going to come to the altcoins market and we will not like that when that happens and the most that you've got is with altcoins.

good to always reference personal experiences because this is proof that it does happen to you and it could easily happen again maybe for other people they can handle it better but if you already know that this method is not for you then you should not try anymore again

yeah since altcoins are a lot more unpredictable than bitcoin, when the market declines altcoins will feel it a lot more basically the decline would be a lot more intense since they are a lot more volatile and their communities aren't as strong as that of bitcoin's

BTC shakes - alts tremble even more.
That's why we currently should continue the process of proper hodling of BTC and steady accumulation.

With a cautious approach, DCA BTC is always a smart choice for investors, and we're seeing Strategy and many other companies actively buying BTC below 100K USD. However, we're in 2025, and if investors still believe in altseason, there's no reason to miss out on the opportunity with altcoins.
I'm not asking people to sell off all their BTC to go all-in on altcoins. They should continue to hold and DCA BTC, but consider allocating a portion of their capital to altcoins for better returns if altseason plays out like in previous cycles. Many altcoins are at their bottom, and their potential upside is worth taking a bit of risk for higher profits. The Return/Risk is truly something to consider!

In fact, in my opinion, if long term traders can actually hold Bitcoin for years, I don't think they will ever lose. And I have never seen such long term traders lose Bitcoin at least. Yes, I have seen many people lose, but they were holding on to altcoins for the long term.
However, if someone loses their Bitcoin by simply falling victim to a phishing attack and giving their wallet access to hackers, that is a different matter. Moreover, I don't think long-term traders ever lose money investing in Bitcoin.
-
Have you ever applied the DCA strategy in the crypto market?
Yes, Both BTC and Altcoin holdings on which i do have bags with it on which it do have that separate too on which there are ones that for long term holds and there are ones for shorter ones.
Do you think investors should stop DCA BTC to DCA altcoins with the expectation of making bigger profits in the 2025 altseason?
Talking realistically then this is really that true when we do speak about profit amount potential earning but people will always be having that confidence and sense of security when it investing to Bitcoin.
Do you often refer to the opinions of experienced traders on the internet to adjust your crypto investment strategy?
I would be that hearing out their opinions and advises or seeing their analysis but it wont really be that totally giving out that 100% reliance about their own calls and be following it completely.
I would be always have the final decision and using my own analysis.

It may also depend on the strategy of each investor to do DCA consistently again from now on because it is indeed starting to approach the peak of the bullrun. However, even though the possibility of the increase is not too significant or significant, doing DCA is actually still very profitable. especially if we can do it regularly, even with a small capital. it can be a fairly large accumulation at the peak of the bullrun later. so in my opinion, if you do have the funds, it's better to just do DCA, not immediately top it like that.

However, if someone loses their Bitcoin by simply falling victim to a phishing attack and giving their wallet access to hackers, that is a different matter. Moreover, I don't think long-term traders ever lose money investing in Bitcoin.
Agreed. But are such people traders, though? I would call these investors..

No doubt about that because long term traders are similar with long term holders because the difference is just cutting it on the way after a year while holders will continue after one year to hold and investing, so if the long term traders will have the courage to that extent they will not loss a cent no matter how many positions they have open on the trading.
So actually were the challenges are is the short term traders because Bitcoin can get low any moment when there position is still open, so if there is any serious risk in trading duration long term traders are not included but only short traders has it, so actually for holders every moment and days are for DCA.

In this sense, management of assets is without a doubt connected with how market change is addressed. Not all people have the same purpose in investing but there are always time and value that are involved in the game. Of course, it works better in an environment where there are many price movements where adhering to proper principles in managing the assets would be most effective. Sometimes the conditions may not be perfect and this is always good for more time that is taken in the process the better the results to be expected. There is always a risk in every step, but it is how one handles it, and how he or she stays aligned with the decision that has been made.

That's the point I want to mean.
Long term trader if they really hold for long-term I also don't think they will have ever a single bucks of loss in the bitcoin investment. Only those who invest for the short-term will worry about losses from Bitcoin investments, and if they can't analyze, they will have to hold on and lose.
And on the others hand in case of altcoin investment there is risk of losses in both cases short-term and long-term.

An investor with long term commitment wouldn't worry about most of these fud, short term price and all sort of drama we do see on crypto daily basis. The people that are enjoying profit taking today are the people that bought Bitcoin when the price was at below $20k, they invested all of their money and now they took the profits like they never did.
Some people are still holding and hasn't sell any of the Bitcoin they have bought because they believe this price is even the smallest of their dream. Don't be surprised to see a person with Bitcoin bought at $10k and still holding with dream of $1M, they are there watching the market.

Moreover there is also some that kind of mentality like people in generally save their all assets on bank what they earning daily and it a continuous process we don't have much plan about that when we will take all the money from bank, although sometimes we took money for handling the emergency situation but most of the cases at the end we deposit and deposit on bank of our entire life income. Some people were take a share to bitcoin like this way of saving what we know as long term holding.

If they hold a long time, they are investors/holders, they aren't traders. Yes, they won't get losses if they know the cycle and they can be patient to wait for the bullrun season. Hold Bitcoin for years is quite safe because Bitcoin always reaches a new ATH in each bullrun season period. But for altcoins, we must be careful. There are altcoins that never reach their best prices again. So, for the long term holders, it is better to hold Bitcoin.

You have also said an important point, the cycle of Bitcoin market. As we know we have to cycle on market one is the bear market and another one is bull market. And we also know how bull Market comes after the Bitcoin halving periods. And I also think for being a long term holder we must have to know the cycle how work and also its got the previous market results.
And also use the fund for holding with our idle and which we don't need to touch when we will be in a emergency situation.

So far, BTC has proven its potential by consistently setting new ATHs in each cycle, but only a few altcoins can achieve that. This season, ETH hasn't even set a new ATH, causing the crypto community to panic and fear that an altseason won't happen.
I also believe that altcoins should only be invested in seasonally; holding altcoins from one season to the next isn't a good idea. However, at critical times, shifting attention from BTC to altcoins is a good suggestion, especially when investors see an altseason starting and altcoins generating higher profits than BTC. I just don't know if this is the right time, so I'll keep DCA a few top coins to not miss out on this season's opportunities.

Just to be fair with altcoin market, this is the first time that we have seen the best of them not having a bull run when Bitcoin is making it's run. They used to be correlated, but it seems that the market has decoupled already. And so with that, the focus is still on Bitcoin right now and DCA'ing altcoin might be a bad idea for now. I still have some altcoins though, but I didn't continue to buy and hold and just switch everything in Bitcoin. Hopefully though, the altcoin market will still have it's own bull run before the end of the year. Otherwise, it will be a complete different cycle now.

Or maybe the bull season don't yet end?
And in this case, big whale investors are playing with the market and trying to make a lot of profit from the market through liquidation?
Maybe they are responsible for these situations? They are creating such situations in the market and making people panic sellers. They are buying coins at low prices and later maybe this year when the bull season I mean altcoin season comes, they will sell them.

Fear drives the market.
Fear of Black Monday, fear of the recession, and so on - I don't think it's done to get more profit as the first target, but to manipulate the sentiment => to get profit.
-
Fear drives the market.

You are right, the market is actually driven by fear, traders both buy and sell out of fear.
And at the same time, I also have the same idea that there is a big manipulation going on in the market if we look at the liquidation of 1.36 billion dollars from the market in the last 24 hours. Which is equal to the entire marketcap of several big crypto coins.
Now I'm actually skeptical about how the market will recover from this big shock, and whether it will be able to recover at all, especially since the situation of altcoins has become deplorable.

We are just not there yet.

When everything appears to be disintegrating, there is always the construction in the background by those with authority that is not apparent on the surface. I do believe that this is far from the end of the current cycle; this one’s actually a piece that situated itself in chaos for purpose. When people fear and prices are hit right down to the lowest, you can well imagine who is most willing to swallow everything in a hush. They are seldom seen dancing but their presence is forever experienced to the extent of the cellar. What we observe is only the tip of the iceberg which had been laid down long before the graph started showing a downward trend. It cannot be argued that what is taking place at this moment could be the early preparation for something they have planned meticulously.

We are just not there yet.
There are many factors that cause the market to not react because we must know that all existing factors can give positive results, but there are also many negative results, and it depends on how the market responds to each problem including of course, as you asked.
But usually the cycle will always occur and can improve itself or get worse. It depends on the market that accepts whatever factors are the result and everything will have its time.

After a black road, comes the white one - we can't be hitting bottom forever. Eventually, we will hit a new ATH and return to the bull hitting the market ;)

It is true that no one can ever guarantee the direction the Bitcoin market will take in the coming days. However, if we analyze it, we will see that there was definitely a bear trap in the market during the bull seasons.
And if we compare the current situation with them, I don't think it would be unreasonable. Because right now everyone is in panic, Bitcoin may be heading into a bear season.
Now we can't confirm whether this is a bear season movement or not, but for now I would prefer to hold instead of selling.

In Q2 2025, Bitcoin DCA is getting more interesting, because we have just seen the Bitcoin market experiencing a correction phase... this could even be a great opportunity for those of us who will make Bitcoin a long-term investment for at least two years or more... routinely buying Bitcoin every week is a wise choice...
For altcoin DCA, only a few top altcoins are recommended, such as ETH, XRP and BNB... for SOLANA, do it at your own risk... yes, the opportunity is great, because we will enter a bearish and correction phase until the next halving cycle.

And I do think it will happen till the end of 2025, imo.

There is no way DCA can accurately work out on altcoins, so don't bother yourself because in them lies so many shitcoins, and you should probably know what shitcoins means by now, all these makes me to account anything other than bitcoin as a risk for nothing, when we should know and have the understanding that they don't rise once some of these altcoins go dip and eventually turned a scam project.

Even if we want to choose altcoins, it must be the top coins, and for me it is limited to Ethereum, BNB, and also SOL. But for other altcoins, honestly I have to think twice to do it. because I've done it and it didn't work very well.
and indeed this DCA system is actually very promising for Bitcoin, especially if it is done regularly from the bearish period and continues until the bullish peak later.

What do you think about LTC, though? A good pick, imo, and has lots of potential that hasn't yet been realized (regarding its value).

We can all easily see the profits from the long-term BTC DCA strategy, and everyone is advised to allocate at least 50% of their capital to BTC. However, it's a shame that they didn't follow through, greed made them want to take risks.
I've been DCAing and am profiting from BTC, which also allows me to take a little risk when thinking about altcoins for my portfolio. Right now, many altcoins are at their bottom, and I'm considering a DCA strategy for altcoins, for example ETH and DOT, to potentially earn greater profits. In any case, the profits from BTC will ensure that I will always be in profit this season.

What do you think about getting more SOL and LTC? Those would be also great to grab, in my opinion..

I think that your opinion is appropriate right now. I am also agree with your prefer comment. I am also believe that if we stop DCA bitcoin and start DCA altcoin, i think that it will be appropriate in this situation. Every single individual in the Crypto space has a much more stronger belief in Bitcoin than any other ALTs.
At my early beginning in the Crypto industry, the most popular cryptocurrencies were BTC, ETH and LTC, I heard alot of people making positive reviews about this tokens as of then. Now, where is ETH and LTC? Most people now see these tokens as shitcoins because they couldn't maintain the same pace as Bitcoin.
From my point of view, BTC remains the King of all cryptocurrencies and as long as any individual can purchase it bit by bit with the DCA method, then there's no reason to stop.
On the other hand, it is still okay to diversify the portfolio by adding some ALTS too but BTC should not be forgone.

Surely what you're saying is what will happen in time when the market doesn't keep going down, but in time it will also increase. If there is no increase, then there will be many investors who will not want to invest there.
Your estimate is that it could happen like that, because it is being waited until Q4 of this year that there will be a movement to increase high.

Market trends do not always operate as most of us expect them to and that is why we always have to set our outlook on potential in a given manner at some point in time. This means that when conditions have not given any signals to rise, it does not mean that the opportunity is not growing slowly. We are now in the interim phase that cannot be long probably stretching for some few weeks. There are probably many potential buyers waiting for it thinking they need a strong signal, but often most large operations are not made on the basis of an ideal situation. Therefore, the belief of shifting significant position will happen at the end of the year is not an idle hope but based on ability to read trend line. Actually, it is much better to stay calm in a situation like this as it makes it easier to assess things properly.

So many investors, myself included, have paid a high price to understand this. Perhaps the difficulty comes from the very impressive success that many altcoins brought to investors during the altseason, for example, x100, x1000 like AXS or SOL in the 2021 season.
Even though BTC increases much slower than many tokens during altseason, in the long term it still has more stability and security for investor accounts. ETH's weakness this season is the clearest evidence of BTC's advantage over the rest of the market. DCA is a smart strategy in the crypto market, but investors also need to have BTC in their portfolio for safety.

I do hope that tariff wars won't return with their sentiment in the invesors' eyes - in that case, everything should be good in the long run.
Or if some exchange, big one, would be drained.. Would have a similar effect.

When we all know that dealing with bitcoin is more safe and profitable than any other altcoins, so tell me why we should leave the entire bitcoin network for altcoins and still apply a strategy that may not work on alts, these coins are not the same and we can't boast and be confident in them, bitcoin will always be my own choice and I will personally invest on it only, if you see me considering altcoins, then I've gone far with bitcoin and can't still use the same strategy for bitcoin on altcoins.

The main portion of our efforts should be put in BTC, if we want stability in our future, that is.
All the alts are there and they won't disappear from our radars, but they are mostly moving where BTC is headed (the ones that aren't premined fully, at least..)

Exactly. Investors only want to invest in Bitcoin if it can increase its price only. If there is no chance of Bitcoin to increase again, the investors will never buy again. So far, investors still keep buying Bitcoin although there are people who also sell their Bitcoin gradually. Most of us still feel confident that we may have a big pump again in Q3 or in Q4.
It is also the reason that investors still want to buy/invest in Bitcoin.
I think it's not just going up, but if there is certainty that Bitcoin will increase again, then when it is corrected, many will make purchases and hold until it is time for it to increase.
I agree, everyone really hopes that there will be another chance for Bitcoin to increase, because 2025 is still a long way off, and it could be in accordance with what you said that Bitcoin will be able to increase and we will wait patiently.

There is no time limit for the bitcoin investment DCA and you can purchase it as anytime and hodle. I don't know which of the altcoin I will recommend foe investors to invest but I used to recommend bitcoin for people. DCA means you invest in bitcoin with a plan with a specific amount of money at all the weeks, months or years and it should be a long term investment because if you use short term investment for DCA you invest at lost.
If you invest with DCA for a long term you make profit at all time.

Bullish season is still long, so it is better as you suggest we remain patient and wait because the bitcoin price is likely to rise again.
We can buy bitcoin again when it is corrected and hold it until the price goes up again, then we sell it to make a profit. Looking at the current bitcoin price when compared to ATH, we still have the opportunity to make a purchase now

I know many people who have become wealthy by accumulating BTC in the long term, specifically over 8-10 years. However, I'm not in such a financially comfortable position; I only have a small amount of capital and need to use the money more regularly. I can only DCA seasonally.
Specifically, I DCA BTC during the 2022-2023 downtrend and will RDCA BTC during the 2024-2025 uptrend. The profits will be used to DCA BTC in the 2026-2027 downtrend. The same approach can be applied to altcoins but with a certain delay since altcoins usually recover after BTC. For example, this season, the altseason hasn't arrived yet, causing me a slight loss. Fortunately, BTC is still bringing me some profit.

Right. We are still in the bullish stage and we have not yet seen the signs that the bearish season is near. For me, the only thing that is happening is the retracement, and I think Bitcoin is just waiting for the right timing before it explodes. So if we can wait, let's wait. Bitcoin is not like other altcoins that will have a hard time going up because of its low volatility, and large market cap, but Bitcoin is different from them, it will really go up no matter how large the market cap is because there are still many rich people in the world who are willing to invest in Bitcoin for the long term.

- Right, this is the logical reason why investors really buy bitcoin whether they are long or short term holders, because there is no other reason why they buy. And then you are holders or traders that means you will wait then sell when you are satisfied with the profit you have in bitcoin.
So of course, dca is often used even if we say you are doing it short or long-term, as long as you have something to buy and you believe in coin assets, just take the opportunity, just simple as that.

Even though it's true that no other cryptocurrency can come near Bitcoin in terms of being the best investment option, ETH's weakness in recent times doesn't make it a less deserving candidate to be in one's portfolio. If you are choosing Bitcoin as the first priority, ETH should at least be there after it because it has a long history, and whether we believe it or not, it's probably one of the most trusted altcoins in the market, and so many projects and tokens trust it and its protocol.
That being said, I don't believe that altcoins have a season of their own because the mover of the market is always Bitcoin. Would altcoins be able to have a bull run if Bitcoin is in a decline? No, you will see them follow the path where Bitcoin is going, so they basically all depend on Bitcoin.

I don't care the way the market is behaving right now but I think Bitcoin should comes before any other coin before you consider any of the altcoin. Bitcoin that I know can ride any run as far as it is concern. It can withstand bull run and it can withstand bear market but if you DCA on altcoins, some of them might never recover again and you will be at lost later.
There is a comfort that comes with Bitcoin investment, it's better you continue to do DCA on Bitcoin than waste your resources and trying to do DCA on altcoins that may never recover. Even ethereum that uses to be the head of altcoins has a terrible run this bull run and not good for any portfolio.

I also agree with the tendency to always come back to Bitcoin first of all, as it has proved to be rather stable as well as gaining the users trust during the years. That can be said because using DCA on Bitcoin is secure due to the stability of Bitcoin towards high volatility. Some people prefer Bitcoin as an investment asset and they are fully aware that Bitcoin stands the test of time. At the same time, I am convinced that there are coins with long-term potential that should not be disregarded. Of course, many of alts are highly risky but still there are many of those, that serve new ecosystems or technologies capable to evolve in the farther perspective. Hence, although Bitcoin does happen to be secure, it is advisable to invest in other altcoins that are driven by a roadmap.

Everyone will do as you say, when they are satisfied with the profit they have, then they will let go and wait again for it to be corrected and buy back and continue to hold for a time that can be determined later. Bitcoin will always be a highly anticipated target because it can always present surprises when we are willing to be patient waiting for it.
Any scheme is very good, especially with the DCA scheme. It can be very promising to be used as a reference for the investment that will be made.

The DCA method can indeed be a reference for those who have limited capital to be able to own bitcoin by buying gradually, then holding it to be able to get maximum profit according to the target.
for those who have already made a profit, they will be interested in buying again and holding it until the target they want is achieved.

One good thing about using the DCA strategy on Bitcoin is that you're almost certain that at the end of the day, you're going to make profit—a feeling you don't get doing same on altcoins. Unless one is a short-term investor that's ready to risk it all to either make profits or suffer huge loss, I don't think there's any reason to stop DCA buying of Bitcoin to use same strategy to buy altcoins

If I prefer to use the DCA method for buying bitcoin because we can buy it gradually and bitcoin is the right choice.
But for buying top altcoins, the risk may not be too big.
It all depends on our policy in choosing. Good luck

Right now, we're in Bitseason, so BTC is soaking up all the capital in the market, which means altcoins haven't been able to pump as strongly as many investors hoped. DCAing BTC has generated significant profits for investors over the past two years because BTC usually rallies before altcoins.
However, I definitely haven't forgotten about altseason! I believe a new bull run just wouldn't be complete without it. If there's no altseason, BTC alone won't be attractive enough to create a truly vibrant market. During altseason, I'm confident that many investors will once again regret not buying more altcoins.

The DCA scheme is indeed very useful for those who want to have bitcoin, but because the price is very high, doing it like that so that when the specified time period is over, they will have quite a lot of investment.
Everyone will do as you say, because if they have made a profit, they will definitely continue to do it again so that it can be sustainable and continue to produce.

Markets like this are just manipulations so that those who do this manipulation get a cheaper price when doing DCA, buy at a very low price on this trend and then wait for the high price until FOMO to sell with more profit.
A really smart way to do it because retail traders will keep up with how the market works and how the market moves.
Now retail traders also need to have their own strategies to avoid this market manipulation and keep an eye on how deeply the price will drop so that they still have a chance to buy at the lowest price.

You are quite on point that DCA allows many people to establish a bitcoin portfolio that is sustainable and gradual. The other advantage of purchasing small quantities is that when the price fluctuates small buys can be of much help at some point in time. But, I also believe that it needs more than mere gazing at the returns in order to work on this habit. There is some form of faith in the asset and this is especially so when the market operations involve some form of emotional incline. I agree with this but I strongly believe that not everyone will progress to this method, even though it is rather effective in the first place. To get the maximum benefit out of this strategy, one still has to be committed and patient over a long period of time.

The DCA scheme has indeed been recognized as very good until now and can be done in any situation, because it is not tied to market conditions, but rather tied to perseverance to do it by continuing to be more consistent and not giving up, Because it takes a long time to be able to achieve what you might want and nothing is instant because if you want it to be instant then you will not be able to get what you want.
Therefore, if you want to do it with any scheme, it is very good according to what we might be able to do, but with DCA, it takes a long time and consistency.

Yes, that's right, it means this, Bitcon=in is the most potential and most trusted top coin. Crypto is Bitcoin, the main one. That means, for DCA, Bitcoin is still the main goal and it will continue to be worth it forever.
However, if you really want to increase accumulation with DCA in certain altcoins, please do so, but make sure it is a potential altcoin, so that later there will be no regrets.
