Anyway, I have been meaning to ask this for quite some time! Do you guys think that the shilling has decreased relatively compared to the past? I see fewer and fewer shillers these days, especially the newer ones.
It doesn't seem to me that there are fewer compared to before, because if you look back 30 days and look at any month of last year, I think you will find similar numbers of reports. It may seem to you that there are fewer of them, but the fact is that they are constantly adapting and looking for ways to avoid detection.

Lucius, I see you have a good eye for users. You're absolutely right, and thanks to that, I managed to find a small farm that will be dismantled in the next few days.
Thank you.
+10 as stated here: Moving Karma and avoiding abuse.
These shills may be persistent, but they're definitely not intelligent enough. In this specific case, he exposed himself with a completely meaningless sentence. I'm glad there will be at least one less alt farm

What should be done is to issue only one warning, and after that issue a permanent ban - this would at least reduce the number of shills on the forum because they use their accounts as long as they are allowed to do so.
This is more or less the idea. I usually warn first and then give shill badge, strike + misbehaving, so all posts are moderated. If that fails, then 3 strikes or UR prevents them from posting.
Usually in misbehaving shills give up, as mods (generally speaking, with rare exceptions) don't approve their posts to be seen on the forum.
If they are 100% only here for shilling, then I just put them straight in misbehaving with shill badge as much simpler these days.
I just think we all spend too much time on this kind of stuff, or give these shills too many warnings, instead of resolving it quickly and decisively. I know that the forum rules are currently like this, so we will have to be consistent if we want any success in this matter.
