I think he will soon be forced to flee with his family elsewhere. A gambler who gambles the full amount of money for the month must be gambling on borrowed money and has to borrow money again to cover the household expenses. If this process continues for 2-3 months then it starts affecting his life. In order to enjoy gambling, one must spend money in such a way that the gambler has no problem losing money. I have met so many people close to me that have changed their behavior and for the start I thought it's actually because of some hard drugs that is bringing this negative behavior, because we use to chat one or two times but he never complained about this habit and after me realizing it was gambling I was left to why he didn't tell me all this wild , it made me wonder if he doesn't see the character changes in himself.

This is exactly like my ex-husband because in the past he loved gambling to the point where he forgot about his family.
My ex-husband used to work in an office and the same incident happened, gambling destroyed our family and I didn't like that.

Lol, it's seems he is totally mad on gambling like he is very addicted person to gambling. Gambling should be for only entertainment purpose not to fullfill your greedyness. A sad story from my side one of my friend is was also kinda mad like your friend and he gambling with his tuition fees and after losing them all he borrowed money for gamble and he also lost that fund and after that he attempted sui*cide and lost his life. A huge change in gambling habits can be observed due to the environment. If an addicted gambler wants to break free from his addiction, leaving that place can take him away from his addiction to some extent. Sorry to say this, but your friend is really stupid and I do hope that he has no child or family to feed because if so then for sure they starve. Your friend might be addicted to gambling or too greedy to double his salary (signs of addiction) that is why he bets with all his money and can't even control himself. This thread has been posted at the final day of 2023. I wonder if your "Friend" that you're saying here had the extra money to celebrate New Year's Eve or worse, it might be the worst New Year's Eve of his/her family because the supposed money that's for the celebration went to the casino.

Nevertheless, I guess as a normal gambler, we already know the consequences if we go all in with our money in gambling. Putting only a small amount of money into gambling will not make you broke IMO. Putting an amount that will not hurt your expenses. I'm not saying though that going all in, and gambling is a no-no since anybody can just do it if they want to, but the consequences will be very harsh when you lose all of those funds. Your friend is basically addicted to gambling, due to which he participated in gambling as soon as he collected his salary and could not retire until the balance was over. Gambling should usually be retired. If a person becomes addicted, he will lose all money due to gambling for a long period of time and later take a loan to participate in gambling. So ask your friend to take a break from gambling, because gambling addiction is 99% guaranteed to result in losses.

That your friend lack safe control, I don't know if he is  an addict in gambling but the truth of the matter you don't even use your salary to gamble, it is very risky to go a gambling shop with your salary, please let me wise next time.
