Actually, I thought that Nigeria would be the one to win this year AFCN but it turned out that this was not for us, because the host really played a good football in the finals. We have the quality and great players but we don't have what it takes to get rid of Ivory coast in the final, which made it impossible for the victory. I believe that if these players still play together in the next AFCON, there will a better chance of winning it because they are still young and would have improved a lot by then.

Or maybe some of them would drop just as we're about to lose Iwobi into early retirement after he was single handedly blame and abused by trolls for Nigeria loss. Same thing happened to Igalo and Victor Moses; we forced these players into early retirement with abuses.

I was also thinking in that direction of Nigeria winning the trophy but it was unfortunate that the super eagles could not win it as a result of their approach to the game. Those players are all international stars and well recognised at their various clubs which means they are well developed for any game and this is not their first time going for AFCON. They already have the experience of matches and likewise international matches as well so why would they not do well in this just concluded AFCON. Is it the coach that is to be blamed or the players or the referee?
Of lately I saw Nigerians being angry and threatening Iwobi for his carelessness during the game and I am afraid as you have said, that is possibly automatic retirement from the super eagles for him.

A game of football one team must play bad for the other team to win and having 1 bad game does not mean that the team is bad it's just what it is.

I'm not blaming them for the defeat; I'm just upset because I didn't see any fight from them. I mean, it was a fuckin final game, and if you have to lose, at least do it with pride. We did not only draw the game; we lost it to Benin Republic. You could just see the tactical difference between Rohr for Benin who was our Super Eagles coach for a long time, and Finidi George, who could not judge well and select the right players. It was a big mistake to take up the indigenous coach; we were better with Poseiro, and if it was him, I am sure we would have been winning our games, and not conceding goals so easily.

They have made history with their win and have made Nigerians proud, especially in this Olympics where we are not everywhere and participating in many of the sports. Rwanda is not a good team, do not hype them to cover for the failures of the super Eagles, who failed on several attempts to score. The Rwandans celebrated after the game like they won the game when they just ended with a draw, which is to show that there are no level with the Super Eagles and even consider picking a point from the Super Eagles as a victory on their side. There is a lot we have to improve on in our team, we need a coach to achieve that.

Since on Saturday to on Monday, some of the Super Eagles players in the foreign land has voiced out their ordeals in Libya that since when they landed in Libya Airport at AI abaq. And according to them from the airport to the final destination is about 2 - 3 hour journey and they have to reach the destination to prepare for the match tomorrow but the Libya Football Association LFA has used tactic to delay them.in the airport therefore they have back to Nigeria. They can't risk their lives there. I don't know of it is true that they are back. And CAF is saying that they will investigate the matter.

CAF has to strongly investigate this issue and find out if the actions of the Libyans were intentional, because this kind of news is not something that is common in a football where sportsmanship is expected. If their actions were found to be intentional, then they deserve some kind of sanction or punishment for this because this is an embarrassment to football in general in Africa.

I won't be surprised at all if CAF doesn't make a big statement after this awful incident, because they are not even working as a proper governing body.

I can't really imagine players who play for top clubs in Europe are left stranded in an airport. We sometimes even ask ourselves stupid questions like "why is our sport not developing", but we can't even develop and maintain the little one on ground. There is no excuse to why the away side where not treated nicely. CAF needs to hit their hammer, so that others can learn.

It looks like it was a retaliative action on the Super Eagles, as the Libyans also complained that they were treated poorly during their visit to Nigeria because they spent so many hours stranded in the airport. According to their reports, the Super Eagles claim that the action and the difficulty that the Libyan faced were as a result of their own actions because they decided to land in another airport in another state instead of the airport where the NFF had provided logistic services and security escort.

In another fixture, the Black stars are facing a bad time too, they lost again to Sudan by two goals, which is very embarrassing.
