Is Bitcoin able to survive like gold??? Or will it soon be replaced with a new one?

For now we can't tell and it impossible for anyone to really give a good insight on the matter, as we may have it, there is know digital currency that can withstand Bitcoin in terms of everything for now, for me I think we should be talking in terms of digital currency unless you are asking your question in context, Bitcoin is a digital asset that has future potentials, since the creation of Bitcoin no other crypto has ever been created to match up with it although we can't really say for the future but the continues modifications being made on Bitcoin, I don't think there will be any other coin that can compete with it, generally if it is other asset I don't know because time will tell, am always careful to argue in this context because their is a serious revolution going on globally in terms of investment, so there is possibility of anything but for now Bitcoin is the master.

I always find it laughable that when a new altcoin is claiming to be the next big thing in the world of cryptocurrency and will soon be replacing or at least at par with Bitcoin, it would soon be sinking into the ground never to be seen again or just a floating garbage in the sea of so many. As of now, I see no other crypto platform that will replace Bitcoin and it can be so true for the next 10 years. Even Ethereum which is the number two in terms of popularity and marketcap, I don't think it would ever overtake Bitcoin in many aspects. We are in the industry where hypes and exaggerations are quite normal...sometimes this approach can be clouding our judgement and can lead us to nowhere.

Criticizing Bitcoin's speed and limitations was very common during 2017-ICO boom when new L1 blockchain projects were introduced. Teams tried to convince users that these new blockchains had higher speeds, lower fees, and would definitely be more successful than Bitcoin. They didn't even fully understand the value of Bitcoin, so they criticized it instead of affirming Bitcoin's value and then finding ways to promote their own projects.

As you said, many blockchains in the market are very strong, very fast, and very cheap, but it's difficult for any project to continue to exist and thrive without Bitcoin's media support. In the next few decades, Bitcoin will continue to be the crypto king and play a leading role in driving the development of this new market.

Bitcoin is one of the best investment in the world right now and the best crypto coin in the world also, Bitcoin is the first crypto coin that was created and it has been doing very well in it's growth, I don't think any other crypto coin will be bigger or better than Bitcoin, I know some people feel Bitcoin will not grow more than it is now or Bitcoin will fall one day and will never rise again, all this are not true, if you go through the history of Bitcoin you will know Bitcoin will not fall and that it will keep growing bigger and better.

Every coin is under bitcoin, not above bitcoin because bitcoin is the king of crypto currency.  I never thought whether there would be a replacement coin for bitcoin, because currently bitcoin is still strong for the next five or ten years.  But maybe there will be a coin that replaces bitcoin with no one controlling the same as bitcoin.  Because if there is a coin that can be controlled and tries to compete with bitcoin, I'm not sure it can replace bitcoin.

It's been 15 years since Bitcoin first appeared on the market, and I don't think people understand that Bitcoin will grow like this. If you check coinmarketcap, there are 2.4 Million + Cryptos, and only 10000 are listed on their website. What happened to the rest of them? Some of those never managed to get listed on an exchange, some were created to scam people, and some lost their value over time.

Bitcoin is not the only currency with good decentralization. There are a couple more, but, since Bitcoin is the first one its dominance is still 56%. I don't see any coin, token taking over Bitcoin in the upcoming decades. But, we never know what is going to happen.

Once upon a time though, Ethereum almost made a run against Bitcoin. I remember it vividly way back in 2018 when we are in the bearish market but there are some entities putting Ethereum to the top. But Bitcoin as it is very resilient stood that challenge and then there was no question as who is the top 1 crypto ever since.

Everything about Bitcoin looks like old tech but the tech is the only one that has prove to be immutable and resistance to all kind of attack many altcoins see today. And as much as it looks old tech, but with how Satoshi designed it, no doubt that it is resistant to any attack. Even if there are someone who are going to attempt it, might cause him a lot of money. The uptime of Bitcoin blockchain is 99.99% since it's inception and I do not think that any altcoin can match that.

In that aspect gold has come to stay and again it's a physical asset which we can see, touch and handle, gold can not be compared with bitcoin because even in their existence gold has been recognised worldwide while Bitcoin just have few recognition in some places.

Regarding the replacement of bitcoin I found this question very difficult to answer but Bitcoin have the smallest total supply compared to any other crypto that why it values keep increasing everyday, but if Bitcoin can be replace it will take a longer time to happen.

I don't think gold will ever be replaced by bitcoin. The characters of both are very different. Maybe what is meant to replace is that bitcoin has the potential to beat the price of gold.

This may not be possible because they are not the same thing why because bitcoin is not physical properties neither does one hold them as an element to be put on the body. Like I said before, gold is mainly for beautifications while bitcoin is not at some point you don't need energy to pushed gold from the store but you need energy to push bitcoin from the exchange this alone made not coexisting together but however, digital gold can be tradable except you are going for that then fine.

Not a bitcoin hater, infact, I hold a good amount of my crypto portfolio in bitcoin, but the truth of the matter is that, there are several crypto projects today; that are way way better than bitcoin in terms of technology, scalability and all that, but bitcoin is still way ahead due to its acceptance level, usage level, and also supported by its first-mover rank.

In other words, this is to say that some Altcoins may come up with really great products, but it will ultimately be difficult any to ever come close to replacing bitcoin, or taking bitcoin's place in terms of marketcap, bitcoin has gained the popularity and acceptance to make it stay ahead of all cryptocurrencies for generations to come, except something significant goes wrong with the network.
