Every trader and investors knows what they want and if they think that setting a little rules gives them required results then fine you would see them using that system or method to say to effectively makes profits since almost everyone trading are trading for profit. Of course no investors and traders who ventured here with the sole purpose of losing what they had invested instead looking for ways to increase their profits.

Of course, everyone who trades and invests wants to make a profit and no one wants to lose. and they all have their own strategies, some choose to hold long term because they do not have the expertise in trading, some dare to take risks with trading, and their desire remains one, to make a profit.

Yeah, the profit making comes to how learned and consistent they seems to be, because there are lot of people who are so weak in there knowledge or fails to understand the systematic approach of making their trading or investment come to reality. Most times they do trial by error method which is why most of them ends up losing heavily while engaging their self in trading or on investment because the fails to study the coin they are going to invest most importantly studying the altcoin they do invest but inversely I do understand that most people would want to invest in Bitcoin and which is the most safest investment one can engage himself or herself to.

        -       The ones you mentioned are types of communities that are entering the crypto space, because there are people who don't want to think it's stressful, so they only do it long-term, so they're just waiting for what they'll do when the time is right when they want to sell it.

And the others, while the crypto potentials are accumulating in the market, invest after investing thinking that they will be able to accumulate a large profit; only two of these are the holders.

Hmmm calling people communities or types does not make any difference here but yeah we can also call them as communities. The explanation is nice and simple adding to it more I will say long-term traders are after profit which they want to make in some time either its after 1 month or 10 months but they are after profit for themselves.

But holders are just accumulating BTC on a regular basis by following the DCA or any other convenient method and they will be accumulating it till then can haha I say, till death even. They will die accumulating the BTC and wonder when they will make use of them anyway it's their choice. Investors can be both and can be another person who can trade for short term even It can be anyone

These terms are not the same, they have different meanings. Long-term traders engage in trading but hold onto their trades for extended periods. These traders typically only participate in spot trading because futures trading is not ideal for this approach. Long-term traders should have substantial funds to achieve significant rewards. It isn't worthwhile to make a long-term trade with smaller funds because the profit will also be lower.

Holders, on the other hand, keep their trades for even longer than long-term traders, often holding for years or even decades. The term investors can refer to both long-term traders and holders, so in some contexts, it can have the same meaning as either group.

Mate, long term traders is just a literally word to describing a Trader(s)that has been into trading for many years, An investor is one that has invested in crypto, stocks, commodity, or other businesses either on the long or short term basis. A Holder could also be simply called an investor, though he/she may just be holding certain coins for a short time to maximize profit at any slight opportunity as the market make little move up.
As I have explained, these three entities has some differences but some times many people can term a Holder to be thsame as an Investor especially on the crypto community. As a matter of facts, they all have different meaning when you check the Advance English Dictionary.

Trading is not something easy and requires learning to be able to make analysis and have experience. Everyone who invests must be looking for profit, no one wants to lose, so we must have good experience and strategy in investing in order to make a profit.

I think it is pretty much the same when it comes to the long-term traders and investors. Most of them would probably have a timeframe whether they would sell there when they have profit.

The common thing about all of it is to profit. I never heard of anyone investing in then not wanting to have a return on their investment.

Exactly. The difference between long term trading and short term trading is just time frame and the fact is all aim for same thing which is maximum profit. The type of investment actually matters since some investments are better of as long term like bitcoin for example and some others are better off as short term say most meme coins for example. Generally I'll say the profit gotten from either of them depends on both the type of investment and also the capital put in by the investor in question.

Wheather long term or short term , understanding is what matters most in any type of investment.

• Day traders: Who trade daily
• Investors (which can be divided as short term investors and long term investors also called Hodlers)

It exists for very long time, long term trader is someone who buy crypto at certain price and will decide at what price they want to sell and when the price reached the desired rate they will cash out that is irrespective of time, can happen in a day or in a week or months.


To me long term traders and investors falls under the same category because both are similar in terms of everything apart from investor will move the coins back to wallet and sell when they see profits, long term traders most like leave the trade open with their desired price.

Holder is something different, they might hold their coins no matter what.

Investment and holding are almost same thing but trading is different thing trading is never long term here who sell their coins as fast as possible and profit. No one expects big profit in this case. But holding or investment is always long term so no one expects small profit here. Every holder and investors are always hoping for huge profits. I keep some budget for holding and invest some as per DCA. But I am trying to stay away from trading now because the market is unstable so the risk here is very high

Thanks for clarity about the long term trader. This means a long term trader could also be a day trader ( This is when the desired price is reached in a day). It also means that a long trader could be a Hodler (this is if it takes upto 2 years to reach to the desired price).

It then means that all are same or some terms were wrongly defined or chosen. To me if there be anything like a long term trader according to your definition above, it should be called a price driven trader or a purposeful trader.

They are all different in what they do, the only common thing that brought about their similarities is bitcoin, many would like to make use of bitcoin for every of these, we have to first consider the ability we have in cryptocurrency and the level of understanding we have acquired as part of its knowledge achieved, then decide on which to go for and take control measures over same, everyone here adopts bitcoin and make use of it as their preferred digital currency in other to serve them right as needed.

The courage to take risks varies from person to person. That is why, there are some people who do not dare to do it because they do not want to take the risk, especially the high risk. That is why, it would be much better if we ourselves know the risks and are we able to take them. So that we consciously choose to trade or invest based on capital and readiness to take risks.
