what makes a sponsor happy
« on: November 30, 2024, 06:24:52 AM »
in sports, many brands put their names on an athlete’s head and on their team’s shoulders a lot of brands are associated with specific team sports now due to how obvious their names are planted on an athlete

but what does really make a sponsor happy? do they believe that even negative publicity is still publicity and still helpful to their brand? of course they want an always winning athlete but what if the athlete is not exactly the best personality in the sport does the sponsor also consider this? what do you think?

I don't really get your questions right maybe you can try to make it more clearer to me. But if I may get you correctly you are trying to talk about promotion right?
For instance, many of these football club allowing some project such as Shiba to be printed on their jessy to gain more much popularity over their coin/token. Well, if is about this then you would should it's about marketing strategies to make their names visible to globe knowing too well that almost all countries in the world features football in their respective home, and it's a good sign of marketing/sponsorship.

Sponsoring an athlete or a sports team is intended to generate publicity. The athlete's or team's performance has no bearing on the brand's reputation. What matters most to the brand is that people become aware of it.

Sometimes these brands sponsor athletes and sports teams even though their products or services have nothing to do with sports, but the popularity of the athlete or sport is the reason for the sponsorship. The brand only wants a larger audience.

Some sponsors are only interested in setting targets for the teams or individuals they sponsor; some of these targets are simple and not so difficult to achieve. When these targets are met, the sponsors derive joy.

I feel the targets that will be set by a sponsor will depend on the amount of money they are sponsoring with. A sponsor who is not supporting with a lot of money will not be in a position to set a difficult target.

What you should know about branding and sponsorship, it's a business model for casino to get publicity and as I know, there is no bad publicity when it comes to business model, they get their views and awareness regardless. Sponsors usually bid for the place, in most cases shirts and the ads is given to the highest bidder, if one is not ready there will be another that is ready.

As long as the sponsor terms and conditions are not violated, there is nothing against whatever the club or the athletes, they do what they want to do regardless. Some casino get noticed for the first time to many people through this, that's enough marketing to get access to a lot of people from different part of the world.

When brands sponsor athletes or teams they want to advertise their name and be associated with winning and good behavior. Sponsors want athletes they support to win play well and behave well. They also want to avoid bad publicity. If athlete does something wrong sponsor might stop working with them. When choosing athletes to sponsor brands look for people who share their values and are good role models. Sponsors want partnership that helps both them and athlete.

Both. A winning athlete and the athlete that is a model in terms of reputation and personality. Soccer athletes always have a good  personality though. Stake sponsors the promotion itself such as UFC just like the crypto.com doing.

But this is if they ar building reputation. If the sponsor just want exposure and more gamblers to sign up, mass advertising through Google ads should make sense to them. Unfortunately Google doesn't allow gambling related ads.

If I'm the sponsor or the brand owner, I would like my brand to have a good reputation and positive feedback because we are selling products and services. When a team signs a contract with the sponsor, they stipulate in the contract that they will give the brand a boost on reputation. This is the reason why brands or sponsors break the contract with the team or athletes because they make the brand look bad.
I don't think good or bad publicity applies to brand; the brand always looks for good publicity to stay in business.

Sponsors spend thousands or I think even millions of dollars just to promote their brands on whoever that they think can promote their brand better if not the best so yeah just the appearance of the sponsors logo will make sense on every match or league even though most of the time people doesn't care about it but for some that are into that sports or stuff that would be very important because people tend to remember brands whom their idols are wearing on the game.

It's a marketing strategy to make their brand visible to the public especially, when it's on sport. Even if the ahlete is not that good, it doesn't matter as long as the athlete is seen partaking in sport activities and has fans. If you have observed Leicester City just came from relegation and BC.Game is sponsoring them without minding if they will survive in the league or go back to relegation.

Sponsors don't see athletes winning or losing but they want them to be seen by a large audience as others have said, the more fans of the sports club or athlete, the happier the sponsor will be.
So usually what is aimed at is the audience, especially this is a big sport that is watched a lot then the sponsor will receive many benefits.

in sports, many brands put their names on an athlete’s head and on their team’s shoulders a lot of brands are associated with specific team sports now due to how obvious their names are planted on an athlete

but what does really make a sponsor happy? do they believe that even negative publicity is still publicity and still helpful to their brand? of course they want an always winning athlete but what if the athlete is not exactly the best personality in the sport does the sponsor also consider this? what do you think?

If you're after setting a target, then its more better that you look away on some of the challenges that may come along the line, the aim for doing this sponsorship is to help advertise and promote their brand, then in doing this, we may not have to consider what other naysayers may be talking regarding it, all our focus should be on what we are going after until we have achieved it successfully.

Actually each sponsor company have all strategy while they would go for sponsor a player or a team. Here also budget was one of big fact and also they have targeted audience and I think even if the athlete didn't have any good performance yes there will be definitely not happy moment for the sponsor but that is not the negative publicity what I think in my opinion. The sponsor will be not much happy because of if the athlete make good  performance that can be more beneficial.

Nowadays, sponsors would quickly pull out of the deal if their product is under heavy criticisms or just a little controversy. I think that's how contracts are being made now that's why they can unilaterally say they are out. This is not only happening to sports athletes, I've seen this happen often to social media influencers and streamers.
