I am sure many people gained a lot worth of money while playing in this very exciting cryptocurrency industry where huge opportunities and big risks collide...sometimes doing us some favor and sometimes also taking something from us. Through the years, I have had been exposed to scams, frauds and mistakes that in retrospect could have already made me rich at least in my country's standard. In my estimated, I think I lost at least $300K mostly in terms of potential earnings primarily because I let go of my 2 Bitcoin maybe around 5 years ago and made many mistakes (including getting into bad programs and projects) that cost me good amount of coins and tokens along the way.

I have not really lost anything because I don't like shady stuff or project so I remain focused on Bitcoin acumulation though I won't say I have gotten much Bitcoin but am still in the process which I know I will get there soon, what helped me as a bitcoiner is safe control, though one will say there good projects that can pump and make one reach in just a night but my question is have we also consider the risk involved, what if you lose all the money, what will be your gain, just as I know that some project has made some people rich, I also know that the same project has render people useless financially, so I chose Bitcoin, no doubt Bitcoin profit depends on the amount you've been able to accumulate overtime and hodl for a long-term but it is better for me because of its trusted system.

We can simply count on our fingers how many people may come on top from such projects.

Whereas with BTC - if hodled appropriately - everybody wins 8)

It is true that the decisions we make are most of the time reflecting the beliefs and experience we possess both in terms of finance. It is also true that Bitcoin has its own beauty to many people because it has a transparent and decentralised system. Of course, there are always many investment opportunities available to people, but they all cannot be as secure. Some aim at making quick bucks at the expense of putting into consideration the stability of their companies. It is quite reasonable choosing a more measured path and, therefore, guaranteeing full control over all the owned assets. Of course, everything done is always at the risk of something and being in control of your own properties is most comfortable. Bitcoin is not just an avenue that seeks to make a profit but also how the value of these asset will be preserved in the future.

Loses are inevitable i should say because not all people will really that perfect when it comes into investing specially into those days that we are really just that starting up or simply into those newbie days on which we do still lack with that knowledge. It will really be just that normal that we will really be having that kind of mistakes on which the important thing on here is that you do able to make yourself that adjust on what are the things that you have learned in the past. It all matters about adaption on such condition and you will be able to ride with the flow on how this market works. Investing or trading then it wont matter as these things will really be requiring that right approach and the actions on which you would really be needing up to take for you to have that kind of opportunity that you can be able to earn.

I also have a lot of earnings in crypto before but  i lost it when i sell my bitcoin on year 2017, from crypto trading buying and holding and most of all from bounty hunting from the successful altcoins projects, but i lost it because i sell it without knowing that there is a possibility of bitcoin to rise up to 90k$ above, that experience served as a big lesson to learn and be more cautious in the next couple of year.

The decision making process of the cryptography in the world market is not an easy one since one is never sure of how everything is going to be like in the future. I can empathise with this by meaning that sometimes one feels like he has sold something that could go much higher in price. High volatility puts the people in a state in which they have no idea of the effect that it has on the value of the respective assets. Though the decisions which have been taken certainly could not have been other than the impressions arrived at that time by working upon the available knowledge and inputs. There is nobody who can predict the future and that is what many people feel. These are memories that can be something but essentially it is on how one considers anything as one continually progresses through life.

I think most of us did sell on 2017, because I think majority of us only join during that time. So we really don't know what to expect, maybe some of us are already in a signature campaign and earning weekly already.

But we did sell it because it's money anyways. But in the next cycle if could be very different for us as we have learn from that cycle and now we tend to hold more. Still though, there are things in life that is not in our control and so we sold as well. But we shouldn't be concern on how much money we lost. The most important thing is that we should continue to accumulate as the supply is going down every cycle.

If you are truly trying to invest risk-free, then Bitcoin is the best investment. There are many investors who, after holding for a long time, see that all the money in their wallet has been lost and only some shit coins are left. It is not difficult to understand how bad the investor's state of mind can be. Therefore, if only Bitcoin is held in any situation, then the investor will get his return even after a long time. I used to hold altcoins but now I have given more importance to holding only Bitcoin.

The only thing I will keep telling people is that no matter how things is going either you are making some losses just going especially what you are doing is something you learn from , and same time it will benefit more in the nearest future
Are you talking about trading, because if you are investing in BTC, you simply have to buy it and store it for the long term, ignoring short term dumps and price corrections. It is in trading that you are exposed to a lot of risks, especially when you start trading without any skills at your disposal.

As a newbie years back; alot of losses were incurred at my side not quite alot but a reasonable amount per say. I could remember laying down $70 for my first trade and loosinv it basically. At that point, i felt it’s probably the end of the line monetizing profits through trading even though it was my first trade. Speaking after that event, i still incured losses although the losses rediced through the researches and experiences i gained. Jeff bezos once said to Amazon shareholders, if you feel bad about this loss incured, well hold it because there are still alot of losses that would still be incured.Losses basically might or could be inevitable even with the toughest decisions.Point is these losses should be our driven components.by this,i mean what drives us to make right decisions as traders.Losses aren’t the end of the line basically, make your researches, educate yourself and grow in knowledge while making and maximizing your profits.

Changing to something known to be an asset can indeed be greatly comforting as opposed to expose to different direction. It is most difficult to avoid boredom and doubt, when other assets have failed to perform as we had expected. Thus, concentrating solely on one of the most effective methods can become the process of self-strengthening. Instead of dwelling on the unfortunate event, when we feel that there is something that will remain valuable for a long time it brings gradual change of positive emotion. It is not so that everything turns out well, but because we know that what we are holding is not the striving for the current moment but an option that has already demonstrated its ability more than once to withstand the test.

to be honest I have not recorded any loses because I haven't really invested in crypto. But it's no hidden news how many have experienced appreciable gains, and some others wide loses in the industry. Obviously, many lost out to scam and crypto fraudsters, sudden price swing in a downward trend too may have resulted in why many feared and sold their asset believing prices with still continue to fall. loses is not what any investor wishes for.

Yeah as I feel, investing and trading in the crypto market is a fun journey because I get a lot of profit and can buy real-world assets from crypto.
There are many lessons and experiences that we get to always control emotions and always be patient when the market is corrected,
I will stay in crypto until crypto is still valuable.

Re: How much money have you lost in the crypto industry?

The only thing I will keep telling people is that no matter how things is going either you are making some losses just going especially what you are doing is something you learn from , and same time it will benefit more in the nearest future

Are you talking about trading? Yes, if you are really talking about trading, then I would say that if you are investing in BTC, you should avoid short-term investments and stick to long-term investments. And you should always try to see if what you are going to do is still within your expectations. Or you should analyze what you are going to do well and know about the fundamentals and then try to do it. Then you might notice that most of you are moving within your own expectations.
