Binance not only sold SOLANA today they also sold ETH due to which the price of ETH, SOLANA has seen a huge drop today. It was probably pre-planned. Because reducing SOLANA's marketcap was very important to keep BNB in the top position. Because a few days ago SOL surpassed BNB in terms of marketcap. I don't know exactly why Binance suddenly sold their SOL and ETH holdings.  However, despite having a major negative effect on their prices, they are slowly recovering again.  If the price of Bitcoin recovers, their price will recover again

Now, the real question—when can we elect SOL at $500?

As far as I know, in crypto, price changes can happen. For example, Bitcoin, which from 2 dollars could pass the price of 22,000 dollars and now the price of Bitcoin has passed the price of 82,000 dollars.
Solana is now priced at around 142 dollars, I think if you think realistically it should be able to reach a price of 500 dollars but maybe wait a few more years to go up. It might also take 2 years to go up, 4 years or 6 years to reach a price of 500 dollars.

With what's happening with SOL right now, NO.

The hype around SOL and it's meme coins are slowly going down already and we've just seen a huge decline on it's price in just a span of a few weeks. From seeing it going to as high as $290 a few days before and after the inauguration of Trump to now going down to as low as $140 and possible that it could go lower even more because of the FTX payment.

I've been holding SOL for quite some time, and it seems like the project is going down already along side other coins. I'm not saying though that SOL isn't a good project, and a good long-term coin. It's just that, when we are in a bull cycle, the coin is slowly declining every single day. Right now, it's pretty obvious that it will not reach $500, but things can change if the token surpasses it's previous ATH of $290.

It seems to me that Binance wanted to make money by liquidating several longs on the market, selling coins such as ETH and SOL in order to perhaps repurchase them later at a lower price
And to me, it looks like a game of more exchanges
Solana will be unlocking a lot of coins at the beginning of March, together they can influece the market

All this can help strengthen the BNB for Binance

it is possible we never know especially there have been many talks regarding etfs of memecoins as well as the new regulations and administration of sec might affect the future of solana though right now with many news going around it might not happen today or tomorrow but could happen in the next few months but if bitcoin ends its bullish cycle altcoins may not see much higher prices after that

I don't highly value the SOL sell-off pressure from FTX, it's not enough to cause SOL price to drop as it is currently. The decrease in SOL price comes from the decrease in BTC price and the fear sentiment before the ongoing tariff war.

I think if BTC can soon grow back and reach 150K USD, then SOL can reach 500 USD or even higher this season. Sol's potential has only been exploited by memecoins, there are many other potentials that Sol can serve and conquer users, thereby creating a price increase that meets the expectations of SOL investors.

Maybe that does have an influence. But the biggest influence, in my opinion, is also because of the current market crash, the price of BTC has crashed so deep, let alone altcoins. And as usual, when the market crash occurs, SOL immediately drops very far. Even usually the highest position in the market, Solana will be below BNB, can be easily taken over by BNB. But well, we'll see how it will be later whether SOL can really rise to $ 500 or not.

It seems like this is the goal, because of the competition. The Solana and BNB market caps are always chasing each other. and several times Solana is above BNB, So, maybe BNB has its own plan to be able to occupy a position above SOL for a longer period of time. and well, it doesn't know if it will really work or not. but what is certain is that the price of BNB and OSL are currently both falling due to the Bitcoin price which is also crashing. so what can you do, just be patient and wait for BNB to rise again better.

The strong thing in front of our eyes that can be felt directly is the ETF... that's the best scenario to fly SOL to more than 100%... then a few hours ago, Trump announced that SOL is included in the crypto strategic reserve list... this is really another push for investors to get into the tokens mentioned by Trump, namely SOL, ADA, BTC ETH and XRP...

US politics are really on the side of cryptocurrencies, so that until 2029, crypto prices should experience a stable increase in price... if there is no pump moment, it will be stable and creep up as time goes by.

500 dollars is a possibility that will actually happen because I think the price of 500 dollars of this Solana coin can be achieved.
If we can compare it with Bitcoin or Ethereum in the past, seen from the chart on Coinmarketcap, it is very easy for Solana coins to reach a price of 500 dollars.
As far as I know, 151 dollars now on Coinmarketcap can easily reach a price of 500 dollars because Solana has a system like as this :
- Proof of History
- Cheap transaction fees
- Smart contracts
- Large community

SOL is a very good coin but I doubt we will see it at $500 this cycle, this number is still far away, I can expect it to reach $300 at the most in this cycle.

Of course, this does not mean that it cannot reach this number, on the contrary, what I see, SOL has a strong project and a very active network, especially for Memecoin, and Trump's recent decision to select it in the US strategic reserve will help it reach large numbers in the long run.

Yes and no, Solana is a good coin, it's the main blockchain of choice when it comes to new meme coins but due to huge selling pressure it has lost its value. A few weeks ago it nearly touched $300 but  after that it is falling crazily in value. I believe that if things go well then Solana can reach $500 in value in this cycle but still not sure if that's going to happen or not, but there's some possibility.
