Can new crypto beat Eth in the market?

many altcoins that have the potential to exceed eth prices, but for which coins it is not clear yet, it could be that ripple controls the eth position just in the future

Actually, Ripple tried to overtake Ethereum and then it happened. But did not take longer coz Ethereum bounce back again and gain more money to add the market capitalization. Today, Ethereum remain in rank 2 and Ripple in rank 3.

Yes. Eth is still very strong in position 2 even though is always overshadowed by Ripple but does not shake Eth's position. I don't think there are any new coins that will overturn ETH's position

Ethereum is very strong at number two on Coinmarketcap, and it's been around for quite a while and no other coin has been able to knock it out yet. Ethereum has indeed become a crowd favorite here, due to its popularity and the sophistication of the platform it owns.
But when it comes to pricing, there are already a lot of coins that cost above Ethereum. Especially the new coins from the DEFI project, Their prices are very fast rising and overtaking old coins like Ethereum.

I think  new coins have potential  to beat ethereum,  But It will take several years again.  Because Ethereum  is smart contract platform  and mother  of ICO.  Mary tokens  have integrated  to ethereum  mate. 
It is really  so popular.
I see many potential  new coin now,  But It is really difficult  to beat ethereum.

if we talk about market price, there are few tokens in the ethereum blockchain that has a higher price than ethereum.
please take a closer look on below tokens under ethereum blockchain.
1. yearn finance - YFI ($33K)
2. Paxos Gold - PAXG ( $1K )
3. WRAPPED BTC - WBTC (11K)

but if we talk about capitalization ETH is still the highest of all.
ETH still second to the highest market capitalization in coinmarketcap.

I don't think it's possible for any new cryptocurrency to beat ETH right now. Many tokens have been integrated into this currency. Many Ethereum based projects are coming to the crypto market as well as many Ethereum based Diff projects are being developed. Also ETH is now coming up with a strong ETH 2.0 policy, which I believe will make it even stronger.

Why not possible? Have you withnessed in 2018 when XRP beat Ethereum for more than 3 months? Any altcoin like Chainlink, XRP have chance to beat Ethereum  any time if market scenario changes but it is difficult to beat ethereum. We have to bear in mind that nothing is impossible in crypto.

I agree! Ethereum as number two in CoinMarketCap is not easy to achieve for there are thousands who compete just to reach the top 20. This days, Ethereum is the favorite platform of every crypto enthusiastic due to natural and familiarities of uses.

Everything is possible in Crypto market , personally I never accept any coin who's value is more from Bitcoin . But yfi is tradable on 33000 USDT in market . If yfi increased with same speed then this coin come on 2nd position soon as possible .

At this moment new crypto will not beat ether. Because the ether price increasing and it's platform also increased. There are many more new crypto taken ethereum platform so new  crypto beating ether is really difficult for this time.

No kidding mate, I don't believe new coin will beat ethereum at the market. Ethereum is the second of Crypto currency and I see this coin is always maintaining its rank on CMC. Ripple ever overtake Ethereum, but It is not long. Ethereum has bounced back again.

I do not think that there will be a replacement for ethereum at this time, maybe in the next few years because ethereum is still the target of many investors and it must be remembered that ethereum pump 10% a day just see and sell the coin with right timing.

i dont think so may be xrp challange eth but cant cross eth

XRP beat ETH in the past for 3 months when ETH down and went to $80- $100. So it is possible again for XRP to beat eth but i confess that it is very difficult standing in this market situation. ETH marketcap will go up possibily and it will be more difficult in the next time.

Yes! Ethereum now is in decline and slowly rising. Time to buy before ETH increase. If it will not pump this 2020, still there is another chance next year.

It would be difficult for xrp to do it again. The past would not happen again as we all know ETH is upgrading to 2.0. Ethereum market capitalization will go too far from xrp.
