I would agree with you here that most people tend to be scammed as a result the recommendations they got from trusted fellow which resulted to them falling prey to scammers. I have also had such experience before when people tend to take my innocence and openness to undo me. The worst of them all was from a friend who I trusted so much and I suffered a heavy account hack back then. After the experience I took a break from the internet and online engagements but I had to comfort myself and stood to my feet again.
Most times the betrayal comes from people close and not distant friends. We just have to be careful and alert to know what is obtainable so we do not get carried away by mere words of people who are there to undo us indirectly.
You have a nice point here however I think this is the point where doing your own research comes into practice. It's very possible for that friend that probably introduced them to the scheme may also be on the trail of getting scammed unknowningly to them.

Cryptsafe's experience is quite disappointing. The Truth is, no project has "SCAM" written on it. There are some scams that look professional, that even making research won't help in any way. I used to think that making research can be 100% effective, until I came across one that happened last year. I have heard of scams where scammers even use real live location as office, i.e they  operate as both scammers and legit business owners in a business structure.

One of the most realistic scams that I've seen sometime back was the uniswap scam where fraudsters impersonated uniswap executive, created a fake website, and even went as far as organizing a fake zoom videos. On watching the video, I personally couldn't believe that it was a fake video or even a scam due of the length of professionalism. Maybe you might have heard of it, but here is a link
https://cointelegraph.com/news/uniswap-scam-alert-fraudsters-impersonate-executives-and-create-fake-website

So, in as much as making research should come first, I still think it doesn't give a 100% guarantee that someone won't fall for a scam, considering how desperate scammers are these days.

One thing I think we should know is that scammers can do everything possible to making sure their act looks legit, genuine and real but in the real sense they are fake and imitation of the original. We should not forget that they would definitely implore strategies and measures to achieve their aims and if you are not very careful enough to decipher some differences and discrepancies, you would definitely fall for them.

Although research some how does not guarantee a 100% safety but however, it could give you help and insight into knowing what you are signing up for. While doing your research, you should as well be able to get details which could give you clues about the project if it is really a genuine one or fake. We just have to be more careful and cautious when dealing with online investments based on reference or any which we stumble upon in the course of surfing the internet.

However, be careful and strict when applying this recently growing ranged cryptocurrency technology. There are many great opportunities but there are also scams that make unrealistic promises of making you rich fast and are actually dangerous. Thus the more we create awareness and spread information about safe practices in involving cryptocurrencies, the better we protect ourselves from the bad types of fraud that crypto may breed.

Bro just as u talk am scammers Dom full everywhere infact Dem no dey sleep everyday new technologies dey come as of how to take break into person private accounts, as new crypto currencies dey come out every day na so scammers too dey find new format every day. So some of the factors wey fit protect ur accounts na say, make we no dey put our email for anywhere wey we hear say so so thing dey happen, make we avoid to use one email for multiple accounts, then some people fit use one password take open more than ten accounts that one no good at all and to dey leave ur phone too much for person hand too fit cause u ur account so make we take precautions. These ones na my own observation. Ehen before I forget e no good to save your details for ur google or any online place e no dey good, cyber scammers too dey everywhere.

Establishing constant knowledge of the crypto world is one step to prevent fraudsters from taking advantage of us. Hence, the question arises: it may be understanding all these mechanisms and risks which we face in investing, thus we learn to make wiser and safer decision when investing. Furthermore, purely informing consumers about the existing risks associated with questionable frauds can contribute to building a proper and safe climate necessary for successful functioning of the cryptopan. So, the meme remains the same: let the world receive only the right information and contribute to its growth and prosperity, as well as crystal clear bitcoin profits for all members of this community.

I get few tips wey go dey helpful, so make i dey dish dem small small.

1. No dey greedy: In this case, person fit see project wey require investment/staking , and e go later get reward. Just because the stake bring profit, e go wan put huge amount again, knowing fully well say the project wey e dey stake money on no dey guaranteed. This one dey common for crypto well well, when we go come across some certain site wey dey offer reward for staking, but go cum later run with ur money after sometime.

2.Lack of interest in doing research: some people no just Sabi conduct research at all. They assume say everything wey dey come across dey legit. With research, u fit still ask people if them done hear of any particular project before. This one na de best way to caution urself.

3. You must learn de habit of staking what u can afford to lose. This method na basically for projects wey u no dey sure of.

4. Anything wey sound too gud to be true, no put body!!.

Na de few tips wey I get b dat.
Exactly d tip nice though. Mostly for those fake project nah dem Sabi pass for d scamming dem go Shey make you stake u go dey receive certain percentage and the percentage come big Omo run Ohh. Most pipo nor go still hear until experience teach dem and nah that one b d harsh  way to learn
The main cause of one falling victim to these scammers is ignorant and greed on the part of the society because allot of person has not been properly informed and educated concerning crypto market and what is  really obtainable in the crypto market some still take crypto market as a Ponzi scheme where they can put $100  to get $200 the next day so when scammers tell them sweet stories of what is not obtainable they fall to it considering the profit that the scammers tell them that they will get

Poor information and knowledge is the main cause of which most individuals end up being defrauded in the cryto trading market. Adoption remains high in the belief that it is an investment that will bring in large profits quickly without ever looking at the risks involved.

When scammers proclaim they show you how to earn huge money immediately, this temptation captures as many people, because people do not know how this market really works. And first of all misusing people’s trust, those who wish wider education and access to correct information can help others not to blindly trust in big words and unrealistic promises.

Wetin people needs to understand is that their is nothing like free money,  when you expect free money all the time this is when you can get trap by acammers. For life to earn anything wey they valuable you must work for it, and it can not come by free. If people understand this it will be difficult for scammers to acam people with money.
One way to make sure that you stay away from being fraud is to completely avoid message from stranger and avoid replying and commenting on posts that sounds too real to be true especially when they are talking about you making money in excess that is the way scam start because the first thing scammers do is to make you see the reason why you should put money into what they are saying from there if they succeed in taking hold of you mind that is it your finished so the best approach is to avoid message's from stranger's

There is no way that you can avoid messages from strangers because they bump many emails at once and if yours happens to be among, you get their message. What you do is to delete any message that you are not expecting and if it is from a service that you are using, after reading think wisely before taking the next action. Don't expect free money or money or give aways from any site.

Handling communication from strangers everyone needs to be on the guard to avoid being deluded or bazazzed. This way of getting sorted messages with interaction on the necessary ones will help to minimise the chances of getting the wrong information on what we don’t really need at the particular moment. When we get messages from services we have once dealt with it re-reading the message and thinking of the procedures to follow could save us some major blunders. Do not fall into the trappings of quick nicely that is on offer, the cool and calculated will safeguard our safety.

E get plenty ways to secure your crypto. And the believe say dem don tell you but make add my own. First of all used a secure non custodial or self custodial wallets to save your coins. Add personal pin or 2fa so in case you mistakenly send your seed or they hack you, they can't make a transaction because they need to provide those information. And if you are hodling for long term and it is a huge amount. Then you need hardware wallet because it is more saver. And avoid discussing cryptocurrency with a stranger. Don't disclose your crypto investment with those whom you don't know.

Don't save your sed in your email, Facebook or internet but you can save it in a drive. And anyone who asks you to deposit your bitcoin or send him bitcoin then you should know that it is a scam.

Wel there are plenty ways but make I talk some of them. Before investing into any crypto coins make proper research about it, don't just invest your money into it because of the hype. Also as a crypto specialist, clicking on anyhow lmk should be totally avoided because those links can be used to clear all of the tokens in your account and lastly trade will tested and reliable exchange or platform, let's be properly guided. God bless you all.

Well said. Clicking of links is the most popular way that scammers have used to clear peoples wallet, this links can be available on Whatsapp and Telegram where people are asked to click a link to claim a bonus or participate in a fake giveaway, so let us be cautious of the kind of links that we click.
We should also make research about crypto project before interacting with them, most project may look real, but behind the scene it is a scam and also to avoid this scammers let's always be changing our passphrase at interval in case someone has crammed it inorder to use against you later.
