The proposal to have one thread for discussion about this contest and one for voting is quite good and constructive. Now this seems to me like an even bigger confusion, because you changed the first post and the subject of the thread. Also, something completely different was discussed here, and in addition to voting posts, there will always be some additional unnecessary questions or answers.
As this is the first time this type of community award, some of the users may not be well versed in what the basic idea is. At least based on some votes from another thread.

My suggestion is to contact one of the most active moderators (Freemind, Jokers, TomPluz...), to pin a proper voting topic (unlocked), and to move all other non-voting posts to a thread with an informal discussion on the topic "Altcoinstalks Community Awards - 2024"

@babo, this contest should be promoted a bit. Somehow, I am under the impression that most forum members still do not know about this and about the method of awarding.
Maybe the admin could add a link somewhere at the top of the page. For example, below the Latest news link.

I could use Google Translator and put it in all local sections, but I don't know if it makes this or not this thing

Yes, translation and respect in the local board would probably help. At least in the most active local.
As far as I've seen, there are several users here who do translate anyway, they even have some kind of alliance on Bitcointalk, maybe one of them who is already present here can help. For example DYING_S0UL Mention him, maybe he can give more information about translating into other languages.

This weekend, when I have a little more free time, I will translate the contest thread. My local board has almost no traffic and few posts, but I will still translate it to make it available in more languages.

Who knows, it may encourage more people to register and participate in that local board and in the forum.

I can help you with my section/language but I can't say anything for others. So you probably need to contact the rest of the  AOBT gang members for help.

Btw how much time is left for the contest? Since we don't have as large traffic as bitcointalk, you should hold the contest for a greater amount of time. Up until now I wasn't aware of this contest. So I'm guessing it's the same with everyone else.

Only 3 members are here present at alttalk (DYING_S0UL, Hatchy & r_victory). The rest doesn't use this forum afaik.
