We will tag these new users to be able to moderate their posts and limit their spam annoyance.
if you find any, please post link to the user profile below.
so the plan is :
They need to post their incentivized posts in this section:
https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?board=355.0
if they don't, they will get "misbehaving" tag which will moderate all their posts, to avoid spam
the tag can be given by the general mods
if they don't, they will receive shiller badge (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=314392.0):
and hopefully mods will move the incentivized posts to the incentivized section.
shillers continuing to shill in wrong section will receives strikes and/or have posts moderated.

Two users with «1st Step» rank discuss exchangers — https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=133352.0 (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=133352.0). It looks suspicious. I think it could be an example of incentivised posting. And anyway this topic is not related to the subforum I guess. :)

I'm curious what the community thinks of these websites that are being advertised here. They have their so called "ambassador program" and whoever promotes the articles from their website gets rewarded based on traffic.
I wasn't able to archive the content from the beincrypto website but I have this one (posted in another forum):
https://archive.md/qeYxm
I have no evidence yet on TheCoinRepublic but given how some users' post are just promoting that site, it's most likely that they have a similar program. Example https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=18850

~ I read it's Bitget crypto exchange 6th Anniversary, I've also considered how long Binance has been in existence as well as gate. io etc and how these platforms have contributed to the crypto ecosystem.
~
It's definitely a part of Bitget shilling campaign and since they posted in a board which is against the incentivised post, I urge the admin or Dteam to check the user's profile and give them the tag they deserve.
Am I reporting in the right way or they need to have certain criteria to be posted here?

Indeed, most posts in past month are just to shill Bitget. User was warned about shilling in June and clearly ignored such warning ::)
Has been given shilling tag, another +20% warning, some more posts trashed. +1
Am I reporting in the right way or they need to have certain criteria to be posted here?
Best to include user profile link, as for example if the quote you used wasn't the start of a topic, trashing posts would break the quote link. Otherwise no need to urge admin or d team to take action, it's usually global mods that are needed for this, so just a post here is fine so we can deal with such reports. By posting here it's already assumed you are requesting action to be taken.
Admin is otherwise busy administrating the forum, not moderating it, so best left undisturbed in such endeavours unless needed ;)

New BG shill.
Isicrypt (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=profile;u=99086) post history (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=99086)

All posts are shilling BG, so have given shill badge +20% warning. Might be worth moving to misbehaving to have posts moderated, but will see how it plays out (likely they just ditch the account I imagine).
User @Smilez mentioned here (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=321766.msg1576482#msg1576482), please give him shill badge.
Had overlooked this user as appears to have slowed down the shilling now. But otherwise received three warnings for shilling back in June and received no punishment, so naturally continued to shill such as this post (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=324457.msg1607703#msg1607703) and others in July. Therefore receives belated shill badge that should have been given back then as well as 2 strikes, one for each time warnings were ignored. Should actually be on 3 strikes by now technically after 4 warnings. User probably has a good case for getting shill badge removed in court, and removal of 2 strikes will only cost $10 of ALTT. More likely they ditch the account though.

Another case of organized shilling, this time for Hugewin casino.
Hugewin ANN was opened on Sept. 06. and after that, the campaign starts.

Well I've been playing casino games on different platform, the old one was from stake, but I'm trying to look for new platform to play and my friend mention about this site, I like the design, and the games are organized according to game categories. I tried to deposit and it gets double since they offer 100% welcome bonus. Which is a good start for me , In terms of games I guess it good since I haven't experience lag in Zeppelin.
Hope for good on my next games here, so far exploring is best thing to do.

As someone who loves sports betting, I find HugeWin to be the ideal platform to log in and play my games. It offers great odds and a wide variety of sports to choose from, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced players. Additionally, with its user-friendly interface and engaging options, it provides a very smooth and amazing experience. I recommend it to all sports lovers.

Am amazed by how far this platform has come, establishing it’s self in the gaming space and also offers a range of deposit bonuses, varying from 5% to 25% depending on the game. For slot games, players only need to wager an amount equal to their deposit, whereas the live casino section requires multiple wagers at specific odds plus they even provides cashback offers, giving up to 15% on casino game losses and 5% on sports bet losses, provided the player's account balance is under $1.

After just two bets, I scored another MAX win on HUGEWlN! If there wasn't a cap, the payout would have been an insane $11.2 million from a $50 bet. What an unbelievable experience!

I've been hearing about Hugewin and how amazing the platform is, so I decided to check it out myself! After logging in and signing up, I discovered that the platform offers many incredible features. They provide a variety of games, bonuses for first-time users, promotions, rewards, and much more! I definitely don't regret signing up.
All of these five accounts registered on the same day and of course kudos to Hugewin Casino. I deliberately emphasized the user ID where it can be seen that the accounts are registered consecutively. The probability that 5 new random users register and all immediately come to praise Hugewin is equal to 0.
Of course, the post template is very similar, the same person may be behind all the accounts
Of course, that's not all, but it continued in a similar direction.
So...

I’ve explored several online casinos—some were legitimate, while others turned out to be scams. I kept coming across Hugewin Casino, so I decided to do some research. They offer a 100% welcome bonus, which is a solid start, but what really caught my attention was their 15% cashback on losses, a great safety net for players.
I’m curious to see how they’ll continue to compete with the more established crypto betting platforms in terms of features and player incentives. It would be interesting to see if they introduce more unique games or promotions to stand out in the crowded gambling industry. Longevity is key, so I’m watching how they plan to keep players engaged long-term.
So far, the platform looks promising, especially for something that’s relatively new. It’s already gaining a lot of buzz, and after trying it myself, I can say I’ve had a good experience playing and even winning on Hugewin.

Spot on. HugeWin casino is clearly an impressive online gambling platform and it has transformed the way people engage with casino games and betting activities. Meanwhile, the HugeWin casino 24/7 accessibility of online gambling makes it the most convenient place for players with busy schedules or limited access to land-based casinos.

The popularity of this online gambling platform especially this year. Many games and bonuses. I will not be surprised that I will be here one day with my casino games enthusiasts. Right now we are still thinking about trying it and finding out how it works especially with withdrawals.
What are the games here that can be played by multiple players? Because we intend to play here

HugeWin is one of the trending crypto based betting platform in the market, I see people keep making life changing profits from it. Even we can loose in some bets but thanks to their 15% cashback offer on loses which saves our some portion of betting amount. These betting games are just amazing to check out.

I’ve had the chance to play at several crypto online casinos, but I’ve noticed that they typically only accept the major tokens. I believe it would be a great move for these casinos, especially platforms like Hugewin, to start accepting memecoins for betting. As of now, I haven’t come across any casinos that accept the trending memecoins, which is surprising given their popularity. If they began accepting well-known memecoins, I think it would attract even more bettors and create a more diverse gaming experience.

Another case of organized shilling, this time for Hugewin casino.
Hugewin ANN was opened on Sept. 06. and after that, the campaign starts.
Given this is about shilling, have moved report to correct topic.
All of these five accounts registered on the same day and of course kudos to Hugewin Casino. I deliberately emphasized the user ID where it can be seen that the accounts are registered consecutively. The probability that 5 new random users register and all immediately come to praise Hugewin is equal to 0.
Will ask admin to check IP addresses for these users. I agree it's highly likely that they are multi-accounts and should be tagged as such.
If they are multi-accounts I also think it's fair to assume they are shilling... but will see. While I think it's unlikely that a set of new users would suddenly be taking such an interest in this casino, the fact all these posts are contained to the ANN make it much less offence. Ie the shilling isn't infecting the rest of the forum with posts about the casino which is a relief. There is otherwise a mod self-moderating the topic now so hopefully this will help with any off-topic or shitposting as well.
As for other accounts (without the user ID connections), if they are are otherwise connected by IP with the other 5, then they will be tagged as such as well.

A user who just registers and immediately writes praise about a service (casino in this case) in the first post cannot be considered a natural user. Especially if the same thread is full of similar spam. I call it spam because it is obviously organized shill posting.
OP accidentally deleted my post there, but I won't repeat it because then the discussion goes offtopic, so I'll quote it here:
It's more of a strange coincidence that this kind of thing happens in the ANN thread run by the OP, and he also offers the service 'best shill teams'
yes you should report all posts that you think are low quality or against forum rules
Please don't report low quality posts using report to mod function: https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=13796.0
Here I have singled them all out in one post and on a relevant thread.
https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=320260.msg1636720#msg1636720
thank you for your input and for sure i will take a closer look at post quality in this thread
yes you should report all posts that you think are low quality or against forum rules
I report all what I don't like in my threads but don't have enough time lately
Even though you offer a shilling service among other services, I assume that you did not engage in this spamming.

Forgot to mention but IPs were checked and there is no evidence these are multi-accounts, even if granted the IPs have probably been masked well here. Until IP mistakes or otherwise are made then not much can realistically do done about this, as not going to act based on a "hunch" that these are multi-accounts or shills without evidence, as labelling users as shills after one/two posts in a gambling ann is simply not a done thing here. At least from looking at the accounts, they appear to be "throwaways", and anyone following the thread should be able to identify that based on the activity of these users.
I don't expect you to like that answer, but that is the answer here.

I honestly didn't expect to check only whether it was the same user. Bypassing the IP address is the least of the problems. You moved the post to the 'Report Incentivised posting' thread and not to one that deals with multiaccounting. I would agree that there is more to the Incentivized posting thing here
12 newly created accounts appeared after the opening of the ANN post and all of them are exclusively interested in praising Hugewin Casino. It is pointless to discuss the level of quality of what is written.
I would like to hear the reasoning that this is not an organized shilling, that could be interesting.
For example
The matter continues because there was no reaction from the forum administration. Who can this possibly attract to the Hugewin casino?
What is the most profitable game on HugeWin crypto casino? This new month, I’m in the mood to spicing up my month with big wins on a good crypto casino, and HugeWin seems to be the best choice.
Looking longer term, Hugewin will have a fairly active ANN, but very weak or almost no reaction to their casino. You can imagine what kind of conclusion this gives about the quality of the forum.
I'm probably too strict for local standards, but I'm tired of being overwhelmed with spam and I don't have the option to ignore such users.

This is because you shouldn't report multi-accounts based on a "hunch", but instead only with clear evidence, of which is not present (even if subjectively as close as you could get to it). This is to try to avoid wasting admin's time unnecessarily. How else are you proposing that we check that the users are the same, typography analysis maybe? I'm all ears if you have suggestions and/or can provide evidence.
For all we know there is a shilling campaign organized by hugewin, involving a variety of users as opposed to single user, but only time will tell and at present there is simply not enough to go on apart from certain hunches. For example if the accounts aren't throwaways but continue to post exclusively in the ann rather than contributing to the forum overall.
Maybe it's not obvious but I'm more concerned with the dozens of shills that have been disrupting various section of the forum over recent months, rather than a single ann, and instead focussing on that problem which is improving, rather than wasting my time warning or labelling potential shills that at present look to be throwaway accounts. Dealing with shills is already a whack a mole strategy with new accounts created once users are "sufficiently" punished. From a moderation standpoint, there's no point whacking a mole that isn't going to surface again basically.
Naturally another global mod can ignore my opinion and act differently on this matter, but I doubt anyone can be bothered when there are more important issues tbh.

Have added to shill group and given 1st strike. Shill posts #trashed. No point wasting time (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=324492.0) and letting this user continue to shill given they are ignoring warnings.
If they are anything like the other shills this user will now just ditch the account and stop shilling, and/or create a new account to continue.
There will be nothing lost from this user no longer being active on the forum, given they are only here to shill BG anyway.
Note how out of the 30+ shills labelled in past month that none have complained about it :)

Until now I was waiting for the third warning before doing what you have done, but I understand. I understand your way of acting, and I partly share it, but I have always liked to give another chance to the user who breaks the rules. Remember that's why they called me iron fist a few years ago :o.

I think there is also the desire to act more conservatively when punishing users when acting as president, at least from personal experience this is how I felt. Now that I'm no longer acting as president or vp I'm less concerned about being considered as being too harsh tbh. If there are concerns users are welcome to take them to the forum court to determine if I'm acting inappropriately, but so far none have.
The reality is shills should be given one chance, not several. Given we label AI bots at first instance, as well as distribute plagiarism strikes over first offences, overall giving shills tags and strikes over second offence doesn't seem that harsh to me at all. Especially knowing that 99% of them have no interest in contributing to the forum other than disruptively shilling.

Both users are relatively new and have few posts, but their intentions are more than obvious. In addition, they use the proven technique of posting in which they state only part of the story and then expect someone to complete it - which unfortunately happened in this topic (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=325434.0), where our new Mythical member obviously fell for their trick and helped them make shilling more successful.

Nice work, have also #trashed some posts, moved some topics to IP section, and locked one topic that was clearly intended to shill BG.

It's something we've talked about on several occasions. Companies that really want to take care of their image just have to hire someone and use their user signature. It's as simple as that, but I don't know why they don't do it.

This is the issue with allowing BG shills to become successful, it leads to other companies mimicking the same marketing strategy.

I noticed Jokers followed up with AI detected badge, and another 20%. I've also extended moderation time by 15% as user needs to chill out.

@Freemind, it's hard not to notice them if you look a little closer - they all have the same and very noticeable pattern, which may indicate that it's one and the same team that is paid for what they do - but they do it very, very badly.
@dragononcrypto, I didn't know there were Gangs of AltcoinsTalks - something similar exists on BTT, but there literally certain users are classified into gangs based on various criteria.
You are absolutely right about some imitating others if they see that they can achieve some kind of results with such advertising - that's why they need to be convinced otherwise.
Thanks for the quick response as always ;)

How are you able to find these shillers? Just curious! :)
I had another question, might be a little off topic. By +3, did you mean you gave him 3 positive karmas? I thought one could give only 1 karma to a user within a certain period of time. To test this, I sent you 1 karma, but the second time I tried to send it, it didn't let me. Instead, it showed me this message: "An Error Has Occurred! Sorry, you can't repeat a karma action without waiting 10 hours." Can you please explain? Or is it a privilege that only a specific group of people has?

Shillers usually follow a very defined pattern when it comes to acting, if you read this thread in depth you will see that it is not very difficult.
Regarding your second question, the administrator and the president can send all the positive (and negative) Karma they want, there is no limit. Global moderators, by default, do not have that privilege.
Absolutely, for now it seems that only the admin, president and Global Moderators can give bulk of karma. Even 50 karma in one click.
Only the administrator and the president, and I think it is not limited to 50, I have never tried that amount, there is no limit.
-
What surprised me the most was how one of them managed to get 2 positive karma in less than 48 hours and for only 5 posts ??? (I give -1 for both).
Will check logs but probably nothing undue (especially if only +2). Shills often make an effort to write good posts (particularly topics) that are not-shilling, in order to gain karma and therefore a degree of respect within the community in order to have accounts that are more effective for shilling. I'm pretty sure the shiller badge quickly nullifies this respect however, so becomes somewhat irrelevant.
In the meantime have given -1 to the shills and +1 to the shill hunters, and I encourage everyone else engaged in decentralised team activities to do the same #coordinatedkarma
-
I think admin can clearly see who gave karma to the user above, I can only see the karma log from this
https://pxzone.online/altt/karma-log
I know its doesn't help anything because it still can't be traced who gave the karma.
Can we also assume they are one user with multiple accounts?
-
Can we also assume they are one user with multiple accounts?
We can assume, but that's where it ends. A user can easily change the IP address for each account, and even that is not solid proof. At the same time, the moderators of the forum are quite lenient, so they prefer not to react or warn about obvious (but without proof) multi-accounts included in shilling.
-
How are you able to find these shillers? Just curious! :)
~snip~
As @Freemind has already written, it is very easy to spot them if you pay attention to some things that most often reveal them - sometimes it is very clear what they are doing if they post direct links or write the name of the company they want to promote - and sometimes they use several profiles where one starts with a normal topic and asks a question that prompts others to respond with an answer that is exactly what their goal is to promote.
For me personally, this is the bottom of the bottom of advertising, and I would never use the products or services of a company that does this - although realistically 99% of the users of this forum have nothing against such things - because if they did, they would not allow themselves to be dragged into such false discussions.
-

You are absolutely right. Sometimes we can be 100% sure of something, but without proof we can't do anything, and it's something that usually makes me quite angry, but that's how it is. We only have to wait for that user to make a “mistake” that allows us to act :(

Have given 20% warning. Could be innocent enough, though based on similar accounts and promotional-style posting for BG it remains unlikely.

Was warned on November 9th and went back to shilling the next day lol. Have given badge + 1 strike, can be added to Misbehaving with 2 strikes if continues.

I will add here an ANN thread, which quickly attracted many new users to register on the forum, and everyone immediately wanted to praise the project.
LITR is not just a meme coin; it's the foundation of the LITRBULL ecosystem. (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=325484.0)
It's an obvious shilling for me.
I honestly don't see why all posts like this are separated into different categories (spam, shill, incentivised...) when everything can be considered spam.
This time I will not single out all those fake users from the thread and link them here. From previous experience, there is not enough proof for any action, so any further effort would be superfluous.
I will put them on my ignore list anyway.

I think admin is dealing with this user personally, as I noticed the ann was moved from Advertise your stuff to announcements by him, and user was questioning the Rank Express option.
The topic is filled with a bunch of shills, that's why originally I had moved it to IP section, or AYS, can't remember. I guess admin had other ideas though...

The projects users shill vs advertise are often considerably different, given that advertising is done openly and shilling is done covertly (two side of the same coin you could say).
But there is otherwise the benefit of users being aware of the projects being shilled, in order to be extra cautious about a project, hence the IP section helps to draw attention to these.

Regular users should not be held hostage to paid but short-term memberships.
Whatever the agreement, some basic norms of behaviour would have to be respected. In a month or two, that project will complete its cycle and may never return to the forum. However, he will enjoy a privileged position compared to members who will be on the forum even after many projects.

It's possible, but for me personally it's unlikely. You have to know that shills adapt and try to give the impression of normal users, but still they can't hide some obvious things. It remains to be seen how they will behave further, and then we will see if I was right or not.

I moved previously this topic to AYS, they decided to ask admin to move them back. Well, they don't fulfill the requirement of having a link to their web site so soon this topic will be locked if they don't want to stay inside AYS with their spam. ???

For context sake the PMs I got from the OP contained these gems. I wouldn't normally share private PM, but is very relevant to this situation here.
We have already removed the assignment that encouraged 200,000 users to visit your forum.
Additionally, we have paused the contest as per forum administration guidelines.
200,000 yeh right. But more importantly, an assignment and contest you say? If that's not admitting directing shills to the forum for a form of bounty then I don't know what is ::)
And now the topic is receiving replies from shills again, completely ignoring forum guidelines that have already been acknowledged. What a surprise!
As you say topic belong in AYS if basic rules can't be followed. All the shill posts deserve to be split off and sent to the trash imo.
Admin needs to get a grip instead of playing my niceguy.

I can't say with certainty that this is a BG shill because he uses a slightly different tactic than the others - namely, instead of directly mentioning BG, he uses images that clearly show that CEX and often mentions a token that is directly connected to that CEX.
My feeling is that this is still a shill profile that has been successfully hiding under the radar, and I discovered it because it started appearing in topics started by a potential shill who has not yet been fully revealed.

Have given 20% warning. The user is being intelligent by using screenshots instead of explicity promoting the exchange, but still over half of the posts are promoting it...
In this case the user gets the opportunity to respect the forum rules if they value their account, or otherwise be labelled as a shill.

In fact, the way this user is shilling is very subtle, so he barely stands out or draws attention like other users.
In any case, looking at the post history shows that the user is shilling, even so, the user will only receive a 10% warning, with the intention of changing his behavior. If after that 10% the user remains the same, they will have more severe sanctions.
Thank you.

Edited: dragononcrypto posted and acted before me, so his decision prevails.

@dragononcrypto & @Freemind, there is always at least a small possibility that the user is simply using some CEX and taking all the data from it and using it in discussions. However, in this particular case, I see that we all agree that this is not the case, but that it is a tactic that has obviously gone under the radar.
Either way, the hunt continues :)

To be honest, I haven't been "hunting" for a while because I wanted to give others a chance to do something about shills - but since there are no interested parties, I present one more in a series of catches.

The same tactic as the shill reported in the previous post - instead of text, he uses images to avoid detection through keyword searches.
He got -1 from me, and I wonder how shitposters like this get + karma at all - I offer a possible option of how it happens, because I found him in this topic (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=326320) that was opened by a well-known BG shill who is a Senior member and has the possibility of giving karma points.
It would be good to take a look at the karma logs, maybe you'll find something interesting.

Also #trashed the relevant posts. You're right this is the exact same style as a previous user or two. In reality it's probably a lot more effective shilling technique given the use of logos for branding awareness etc. It's also an attempt to normalise the idea that screenshots from cyrpto sites would usually be from this exchange.... which just isn't the case in reality.
Anyway, have extened watchtime by +5% as usually shills will be quiet for a while after a warning, that's otherwise as far as I can go without triggering moderation which is not my intent here.
Appreciation in advance for anyone keeping an eye on this type of shilling. As a reminder, freemind is distributing generous amount of karma for such finds :)

Quick question! What about one sentence posters? I mean is it allowed? Or is there any specific rules regarding this? I couldn't find anything!
I have noticed some users who are posting like one or two lines! Not sure why, maybe trying to increase the post counts by responding with generic comments!

You can report here if you believe the user is repeatedly shitposting: https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=320260.0
The penalties you will face for shistposting includes:
- Negative karma (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=657.0) given to you by members of the forum as well as moderators
Or you can give -karma and move along. Ideally don't repeatedly give negative karma as that could be karma abuse. Instead, if the user continues to shitpost then you should probably report, ie if you feel they deserve more than you have given, then at least other users can give -karma instead of you. I hate to say it but ideally there would be a lot more -karma distribution towards shitposters, as at present it's relatively unregulated, and could otherwise be easily contained. I don't think it's difficult to understand that writing one line replies to rank up can lead to -karma basically.
Ideally just give negative karma and move on.

As far as I can see, that member is the only one who switched from the classic shilling to the signature option - but I don't think it's a coincidence that other profiles that shill BG often appear in his threads.
Thank you for your generosity.

I don't know if it would make much sense, but image shilling could be avoided if lower ranks were prevented from posting images, just as clickable links. I've always been in favor of everyone having to prove themselves first before being given any privileges.

No, it's not a coincidence. From what I see it seems like they have it planned well. A "high" rank, in this case the Sr. Member, uses a signature, the most appropriate thing for these cases, but drags with it other users who are the ones who commit irregularities and break the rules. And I'm sure we'll see more accounts (the logs have given me some clues) using images instead of text, just as I know there are some "sleeping" accounts waiting to spring into action.
It's not generosity, it's the least I can do for the help you provide to the forum.

100% agree. If you can't post links as a newbie account, you definitely shouldn't be posting images either. It hasn't been an issue until now so can understand why it's not the case at present, in the sense there was no good reason or necessity implement this previously; but given the new shilling tactics it seems like this would solve the issue almost all of the time for the new (multi-) accounts continuing to shill here without mercy. Will past on your suggestion to admin as appears solid to me and similar to blocking the use of the [url] code, it should be easy to replicate with for the [img] code, at least that's my theory.

I think so too, but these are just assumptions because the only possible evidence is hidden in the IP and karma logs, which fortunately you can see. If that "master account" sends karma to his alts accounts, or others who shill BG, I hope he loses that privilege.
@dragononcrypto, if the admin agreed to make such a change, it would prevent abuses not only of potential shilling, but any other abuse that can be done with a picture instead of words. The old saying goes "a picture is worth a thousand words", and someone clearly thought of using that in an inappropriate way.

I am precisely waiting for the next update of the logs to have more information. If that user distributes Karma to users who break the rules, he will lose much more than Karma. He will also lose the privilege of granting it, if I can.

Considering that nothing has changed in the past three weeks and that the user continues to shill in various ways, I think it's time for him to receive an appropriate reward. The links to the social platform he posts are also related to BG.

Haha, sorry the initial writeup wasn't clear enough I didn't read much about it at that time. I wasn't shilling fuel network, was even hoping someone knew more about their partnership at that point haha. I've read more about it now tho, they partnered with BG for this new way of staking for a token that's not launched yet
and user SiliconHat (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=profile;u=100031)
After seeing this post, i had to go check Fuel network out as this is my first time coming across it. According to my findings, It a good network, also I don’t think it would be out of trend in the nearest future because its a solid Eth L-2 project because what makes a project stand its ground for a long time is partnerships and good investments which the team behind it has successfully achieved according to what i read.
I even found out they partnered with Bitget to airdrop tokens to users that staked BGB, that was a smart strategy to publicize the project in order to onboard new users.
A solid tactic, where one user starts a story that ends with the promotion of a service on BG.

Posts like the ones mentioned above might not be noticeable if we didn't know about the current BG shill campaign. Although to me, unusually, they decided on this type of guerrilla marketing, for example, they do not have their own ANN threads that will regularly update and inform users about everything that is happening on the platform.

I don't know about shillers from other projects but recently, I had suspected a lot of direct and indirect shillings related to BG. And the way they shills the project is very tricky, almost very hard to notice! I saw a bunch of them previously, but I wasn't sure, so I ignored them. And later I saw Lucius reporting them! I guess, he has better eyes than me! But I must say these shillers are getting better day by day!

Posts like the ones mentioned above might not be noticeable if we didn't know about the current BG shill campaign. Although to me, unusually, they decided on this type of guerrilla marketing, for example, they do not have their own ANN threads that will regularly update and inform users about everything that is happening on the platform.
Yes it's true. They don't have an ANN to reach more potential customers. And the worst of all is that they don't even want to use their signatures to give more visibility to the exchange. Which is ironic, since they have the economic potential for that and much more. That's why it's difficult to understand that attitude.
He has better eyes than me! I must say these shillers are getting better day by day!
That is why we always appreciate users' help in reporting these cases. You're right, Lucius was very good at catching shillers.

Another shill uses BingX promotion.

Maybe we should open a special section for Bitget shillers :)
I'm not sure if these users have been flagged before for BG stuff.

I highly suspect that this user here is a BG shiller. Just look at his posts, literally every single post contain the keyword BG. I couldn't even check all of his posts! Most of them are following the same pattern!

You're right. Additionally, the user also uses screenshots obtained from that exchange. The curious thing is that at least he has used his signature.
Considering that the user already has three warnings, he now has his first strike.

Honestly, I don't see what is wrong with using screenshots from the exchange I use or using my personal signature. I admit that I mentioned the exchange some months back and after getting a warning for that, I stopped. But should I go to Bybit, Binance, or Coinbase, which I stopped using, to copy screenshots if necessary now? It's funny and I wouldn't have cared if I had been shilling. But it is what it is.

The problem is not that you use screenshots of an exchange. The problem is that in those screenshots the exchange logo always appears "casually", which is really unnecessary, taking into account the amount of warnings you have accumulated in just two months.
Negative badges can be removed. More information is available in the forum help posts.

So, that means if any screenshot of any exchange will be used here, the exchange logo should be removed?
Also, I'm not allowed to mention Bitget at all? Because I'm already using the Signature?
If so, I've reality committed a lot. Lol.
I will appreciate an answer on this.. Thanks

No, that doesn't mean you can't use a screenshot of an exchange. I'll tell you again what I said before. It means that it is not logical to repeatedly use the logo of an exchange for which you have received three warnings after having been shilling on that exchange for so long, I think it is common sense.
And before you ask... Of course you can still use screenshots in the forum, but avoid having the logo appear, because after seeing your screenshots, there is no useful information in the part where the logo appears.

Wasn't it very clear?. Well, I think I have said everything very clearly...
Use as many screenshots of the exchange as you like, but since it's not important or adds anything to the conversations you have, make sure the exchange logo doesn't appear on those screenshots. Your warning history does not need to grow any further.
As for mentioning that exchange, of course you can mention it, but make sure it doesn't appear in all your posts as it's not necessary and that's what has led to shillings and warnings. After all, you went from mentioning it (after the shilling warnings) to using screenshots, right?.

Also, I only use screenshot when necessary, not for any shilling purpose.
This waring would have helped better if it has been few months back before sharing my wallet screenshot on Twitter and it got drained. Lol..

You've raised a compelling point about the dual nature of cryptocurrency growth. Since Bitcoin's inception, its impact has been undeniable, leading to increased government scrutiny. While some view crypto as a fleeting trend, I believe its potential as a revolutionary currency remains strong, especially with innovations like $ARC gaining traction. I hve been actively participating on platforms like BingX to explore these developments. It’s essential to be prepared for both scenarios innovation can drive real value, while speculation may lead to volatility. How do you think we can best navigate this landscape?

You raise some important points about the market's unpredictability. The notion of HODLing BTC until it hits $300k by January 2025 does seem overly optimistic given how volatile crypto can be, It's true that many overlook the factors influencng price trends, thinking the uptrends will last indefinitely.
Analysts’ predictions, like the potential for BTC to reach $100k, are certainly intriguing, but as you mentioned, they could lead to a sell-off and trigger a bearish phase afterward. It's a reminder for all of us to stay cautious and do our research.
I recently participated in some discussions about $ARC and found BingX to be a great platform for keeping track of market trends and new developments, Let's keep sharing insights and learning from each other in this dynamic space
It sounds like you stumbled upon an interesting airdrop experience! Tomato-themed P2E projects can gain traction quickly, similar to HMSTR and XEmpire, I joined the same airdrop and found it intriguing, but like you, I’m curious about the token distribution.
As for their listing status, I haven't seen it on any CEX yet, either. Projects can often take time to hit the exchanges after their TGE. I'm actively following developmnts in the space, especially with tokens like $ARC, using platforms like BingX for insights. If anyone has information on the distribution or listing of this token, it would be great to hear
It's certainly concerning to see the market drop significantly after BTC's recent spike to over $108k, The bearish sentiment seems to be taking hold, impacting major altcoins and memecoins like PEPE and DOGE. It’s possible that this dip is tied to seasonal trends, including the Christmas celebrations, which can lead to profit-taking and reduced trading activity. I’m actively participating in this volatile environment, keeping an eye on opportunities with projects like $ARC and utilizing platforms like Binance and BingX to navigate these changes. Do you think this bearish trend will persist into the new year?

Possibly BG shiller, I'm not sure sure though, seemed odd. Can anyone check?
We are still days away, but I'm already looking at opportunities that the new year may bring, and one niche I'm looking at is th DeSci space that brings blockchain solutions to biotechnology.
Agreed, Biotech investments are often restricted to venture capitalists or institutional investors, but with projects like BIO Protocol democratizing access, anyone would be able to invest in them, through IP-NFTs, which makes me very optimistic.
It also helps, that a lot of top CEX are mentioning the project, the one I use Bitget, for example announced pre market, and it's the same with others as well. Let's see how this one goes.
I just checked the price on Bit get, and it's around 0.09 which I think is a good price all things considered.
I really don't have the luxury of time for consistent mining on TG, so getting in early before it lists is the only option I have.
Have any other exchange announced pre-market or is it just this guys?
Normally, It depends on the platform giving out this opportunity and their history with stuff like these. The prize pool you mentioned is the same as the christmas and new year event that BG announced, and if it's the same one I can confirm that it's legitimate.
But it's important that you continue to stay vigilant as there's a lot of scams in the crypto space targeted at newbies.
Well looks like you were up to something, the listing price did very well, and it's currently around $190, the good thing is, for me I didn't even have to spend extra, my exchange has a promotion where you can lock ETH and get the token, I still hold ETH, so that's what I did with the PoolX on Bitget.
But I do get what you mean with the thing about hype and how it affects the pre market price, although I struggle to remember if there was a premarket for this particular example.

His first registered warning for shilling is issued. Thanks!

Now it's getting tiresome! Like seriously? This is the 3rd user I found suspicious as a BG shiller in a single day. I'm surprised to see wherever I go I see BG keyword. Freemind will you take another look please? As always need a second opinion...
Another thing I noticed this particular user used the CEX's name separately, But & get as in butget (I used but purposely)..like this below.
i may consider trading it on Bit get .....snip

Well, looks like you're on a roll today. The user separates the word "bit get" so that it (probably) won't be found by the forum search engine.

I have participated in crypto arbitrages, airdrops and even used tools in my trades and I can say that most platforms with trading activities like on Bitget are the best to use when it comes to making profits from the blockchain, not only will you save yourself from gas fee and protect yourself, but you will also have a real time price action just as the seed feature you made mention of in your experience, I know how it works and I can say that is what we need now to reduce volatility risk while doing our trades. What do you think of features like this in the future and how it will impact prediction?
You can do your research on Coinmarketcap and also stay active in those communities to ensure you don't miss out on important things and you can always get first-hand information for your analysis, and since there are some of them listing on those exchanges with events like that on Bitget for excample, the HodlerYield is an innovative platform for interest-bearing tokens such as WEETH and USDE I'm not sure about Binance or Mexc but you can check them out there for the activities.
Ensure you do on-chain analysis too to not miss out on what the whales of those cons of your choice are doing per time.
Haha, this reminds me of the first time I saw the bot concept in forex trading and shortly after then, it appeared in crypto. You will find them on those top exchanges trying to be always innovative as possible, (I don't think it is bad). There are usually demos for them, don't be scared, just stay safe, a place like Binance is still where I frequently see them, my first experience was shark fin trading bot, and what you just mentioned is on Bitget for the Zero fee auto invest, you may want to check it out to have a feel of how it looks, bots can be more accurate than humans.
From your experience, it will be great for exchanges to continue with opportunities like that so that people would be encouraged to get in on crypto. I didn't have much of crypto updates, because I believe I could do my research myself, and sometimes I get burnt. If anyone should end up losing it all, they could start back up with how you did yours and I have seen a good number of them, like the new year checkin daily to win 0.1 Sol on Bitget and the bounty pre listing events on Binance and some others including airdorps. Imo, because we are humans, we need some encouraging events to get along hard times in crypto and be able to tell our stories in the end like this.

Sometimes I can't help but wonder does they get a hefty amount in their shilling profession? And what makes them come back again and again! I'm guessing they are paid good, no wonder they are so repetitive sometimes.

As far as I remember, that amount isn't large (at least it wasn't before), but you should take into account that whoever does it has the ability to use multiple accounts and thus earn more. In addition, this is only one of the forums, social networks and whatnot where this company is advertised in this way.
The amount they pay for it is certainly insignificant for them, but I assume the effect is quite good considering that they don't give up.

I had a little question for you, Freemind. I know reporting incentivised posts are part of D.Team members responsibility. But what if, a user I suspect to be a shiller is inactive? I mean they can wake up anytime, and we are aware of this behavior of their. So do we wait? Or we report their old posts anyway? I have personally reported posts that were +- 4 months old, but never anything beyond that. But now, I recently, noticed some accounts that I believe to be engaged in shilling activities in the past, didn't got caught but are inactive for a year now.
P.S: I messed up my sentencing, it may look weird...

If that user has been inactive on the forum for over a year, I don't think they intend to return, but deleting very old posts/threads doesn't make much sense either, as we could be deleting other users' posts that may be valuable to users and the forum. If you'd like and agree, you can save the names of those users, and if they become active again, you can notify us.
It's rare for users who haven't logged into the forum for so long to return, although I suppose that could happen too.
Thank you so much.

This user made total of 6 posts in this month and 4 of them got the word Bitget in it.
1. ~
This data supports my previous assertion about substantial growth within the sector. Binance, OKX, and Bitget occupy the top three spots, and it's remarkable how popular Bitget has become; the exchange has achieved record growth.
~
2.~
It would be great to get in by finding an exchange with a giveaway event like the BG candybomb or pi day event, you can get some PI from participating.
3.I believe you meant to say MINT. The project is yet to be listed and on X, the project announced they will be listed on Bitget with a zero gas fee deposit. I look forward to seeing how it performs before rating it.
4. with its listing on multiple exchanges, I think it will have a good run before joining the rest of the market. So if you are considering the pre-market on Bitget, DYOR and risk what you can afford to lose.

I only looked into his post from this March alone and he does post a few others but those are in the right IP sections while the listed below are not.
1. Let's dive deep into their analysis. It shows that 95% of users holding BGB are in profit, and 90% of users holding OM are also in profit. Here's the list: 👇👇
2. Pi has never been in Binance mate. Just Gate, Okx, Bitget(has a pi ambassador airdrop programme), mexc. So you should be careful where you trade PI ahaha..
3. Honestly, I don't know whether we're in a bear or bull market because the current price trend has been full of manipulations and confusion. However, some say this could be the best time to seize opportunities, as utility tokens are on discount, and meme coins too. Even exchange tokens like BGB are below $5, and BNB is around $600.

I participated in bitget usdt saving, and the APR is appetizing though...you can check it out
THE SURGE IN PRICE IS A WHOOPING ONE AND ALL THOSE WHO BOUGHT EARLY ON BITGET ARE CURRENTLY IN +300% PROFIT NOW...THIS IS A STRATEGY EVERY TRADER SHOULD EMPLOY I THINK!
In this few past days, some GameFi, P2E projects has been on my watchlist, though $OIK takes the lead as we are currently trading above $0.1. In addition, this exchange bitget is on my radar 😎 because of their rewarding event.
I just got involved in some rewarding events to earn more $OIK token where I share from over $2M $OIK in prize pool from participating in the projects events like Poolx and candybomb events.
DeFi projects such as SYN has been my take to heart Dapps since inception and ELIXIR is not out of the lane, adding to the fact that this project is come to lay off the excessive charge exorbitant interest from our regular financial systems; $ELIXIR is walking towards the rejuvenation of the DeFi system if not already rejuvenated by the awakening of the sense of quick and reliable loan and payment blockchains
Corruption of the system shouldn’t be a hook fast now for DeFi projects cuz ELIXIR through the support of reputable CEX like bitget brings wealth creation to our door steps with over 3,000,00. $ELIXIR in Launchpool..
Let’s keep our heads up

In all of this, I can only think of the euphoria of people that got in very early, take the people that bought when it first listed on Bitget for example, they'd just wake up to see that the token is already up 40%, Personally, that's the kind of position I'd like to be in.
Maybe the volatility isn't entirely bad afterall, JK.
(https://i.ibb.co/MxBbXCKB/20250318-132241.jpg) (https://ibb.co/XrY9wC6Y)
it also helps that CEX like Bitget announced pre market, and some others that plan to list, because that would help it get a bit of credibilty no matter how little.
~
I remember seeing an article about how Bit get wallet are trying to create a wallet card that offers zero annual fees, good exchange rates etc, that provides users with a solution for global spending.
~
~
Think of features like Bit get seed that help with early-stage Web3 crypto projects based on their potential, options like Dex Tools, Bubble Maps or even the cliche one Coin market cap community.
~

1.
I guess that's what you get from a project with a strong community that truly believes in it. Plus, not all tokens are in circulation yet some airdrop claims are still locked, while others haven’t been verified. Many holders are still staking, trading, and participating in events like Candybomb a trading event where you deposit and trade PI, to gain rewards. (https://i.ibb.co/mVrFXWXJ/that-s-it.jpg) (https://ibb.co/67cJ1C1Y)
2. Tokens like BNB and BGB have been particularly successful, offering not only a store of value but also opportunities to earn more on their respective platforms.

People in the community are asking for a Binance as they aren't one of the listing exchanges currently, I think there is a listing on Bitget along with all sorts of Launchpools and events on those listing exchanges tho.
The rebranding will definitely be a reason for that, but it might also be that they haven't proven themselves to be worthy of the attention. If anything now, they should be getting more recognition especially with their token's listing on Bit get and Kucoin. The token has quite a bit of utility but the project's recognition can't just be brought through a token alone, they also need to make the said utility worth utilizing...if you catch my drift. Either way, the project is out there now. Whether it gets recognition will be left to how it improves their user's trading experience.
I did only learn about the listing recently though so I checked it out to see some events on Twitter that were pretty nice, especially the one about a community bonus with a $5k YULI pool https://x.com/bitgetglobal/status/1882440719538786470, it's quite a sizable amount and that's just one of a lot. It's a promising token, indeed.

And how do you propose things can be done differently than shillings? Apparently, what I have seen is that most of the exchanges, platforms, brands, projects does something similar, it's just the way BG doing things is a bit more aggressive than the others. Nowadays organic growth, promotions are a rare thing in my opinion. Everything is paid. And it's much cheaper to just use the shillers... :)

The way others do it, through sig campaigns - but the difference between those who choose shilling and those who do it in an honest way is that the former do not stop at anything to achieve success at any cost, while the latter choose a more difficult but fairer path to success.

Elixir is a nice project since they're enhancing liquidity across decentralized exchanges. The token has been listed on Bitget, and I saw a Launchpool event where you could lock $DEUSD and get some $ELX which can be helpful if you didn't participated in the airdrop. Bitget warning (https://www.Bitget ( [url=https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=329791.0) )/events/launchpool] launchpool[/url]
2. Binance Launchpad is not rewarding, from personal experience I've tried so many exchanges Launchpad and to be honest Bitget it's where I'm more comfortable cause the few I've partook in were very rewarding, other exchanges could be more rewarding than theirs, still yet to explore them though, which will you recommend?
3.Defi coins usually have low liquidity but they do have good projects that are eco-friendly to the community good to finally know they would be listing, and after much research, I'm more interested in their BGB community campaign to gets a share of $1000 worth of ELX since I hold some $BGB.
Do I have to list all of their shill posts here? If we do that, then I believe it will help them with their SEO spam.

Specifically, this user uses images, tokens associated exclusively with the BG platform, and directly states the company name, even splitting the name into two parts, presumably to avoid detection through search. With all that, there is no doubt that this is a BG shill.

Whatever they are doing, however they are doing, regardless negative or positive, they are actually achieving their goals. Because whenever I am surfing through the internet, or scrolling my social media feeds or inside apps ads, I see them (BG). I mean among all the crypto related ads that's poops in my feed, there always would be one from BG.
~snip~
One of the reasons they are so aggressive in what they do is that there is no stronger reaction from anyone who has the power to stop them. The truth is that most forum members don't mind such behavior, because I haven't been on the forum for about three months, and during that time there hasn't been a single report in this topic.
I think that the forum should be much stricter towards such members, because as we can see, they do not react to warnings and when they burn one account, they probably create at least three new ones.

You're right. The user isn't very subtle in using the exchange's name in every possible way.
The user just received another warning (the second one) of 20%. And looking at the user's account, I don't think it will take long to receive the third one...

I reported this BG shiller on March 16, and to my surprise, s/he hasn't learned his lesson. He continue shilling the exchange you know whom. This time not directly mentioning the CEX but instead sharing screenshots, for no reason at all, lol, clearly displaying the name, logo, and everything else!

The user has received his third 20% warning and also his first strike. Due to the consecutive warnings (one yesterday and one today), he will be unable to post for a few hours, which should change his mind. Otherwise, his account could be blocked (with prior notice) for a few days. If after all this the user continues with the same behavior, the account could be blocked indefinitely.

Do we have any option to find out when the user received the last warning or strike in their profile page? Because going through this reporting thread everytime when I want to report a user is time-consuming. If we have an easier way like a log or something that can be very useful.

In the user profile, you can see how many strikes the account has. What you can't see are the warnings that have expired., but if the account has an active warning, you can see it.
I'll ask the administrator if we can have an updated list in each user's profile to save time. If it's technically possible, I don't think there's a problem.

Right to rehabilitation and forgetting. It is clear that for malicious spammers this is not so important, but for those who simply made a mistake once, it is not very good if everyone will see at any time that the one has a bad thing in the past. It is enough that moderators can see the history of warnings at any time, in case of repeated violations.

What if we have a temp log for warnings, like it only lasts for 14 days or until the warning expires, that can't hurt the one time who made a mistake and also for someone who is being found repetitive in doing violations, can be easier to get caught.

There can be a compromise for this if DTeam members were given the ability to see the Watched Members page (it is the page where users who have recently got a registered warning are listed). But I don't think this should be public.

Not publicly, but I think the D.Team members should be able to see that (for a short duration). I have reported several abusers so far, and I noticed that many of them had previously been warned. I didn't know that because I didn’t go through all the pages of reported users. However, it would be nice to be able to see that, again only for a short duration...
Anyway, I also believe in "Right to rehabilitation and forgetting" that's why I said, short duration.

I don't know if you've noticed, but I always try to use my left hand more than my right, trying to minimize the potential consequences of even the smallest things, so I don't have problems using rehab and forgetting.
What I don't know (technically speaking again) is if it's possible to do this based on certain parameters or numbers of warnings, strikes, etc. That's something the administrator will have to tell us.
It's actually just an idea that I don't know if it can be done, it depends on how busy the administrator is and whether it's possible or not.
If necessary, details will be discussed later.

This is not a new tactic, but shills who have been detected and marked use the following trick - they simply create new alt accounts, open a topic and then answer the question to themselves, where the answer is of course aimed at the shilling of a certain service.
Let's look at a specific topic -> https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=328978.0
User : Z-crypt (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=profile;u=100860) + post history (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=100860) opened a topic and asked a question, and received a concrete answer in this post (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=328978.msg1739540#msg1739540) who wrote the already proven BG shill and hid his link behind a hyperlink.
If we go a little further, we can very easily assume that @Z-crypt is BG shill considering that his posts suggest so, and also shows a connection to another potential BG shill if we look at the following topic : https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=329003
I wonder what percentage of the threads and discussions on this forum are started by BG shills?

I'm sure they try this and probably sometimes successfully. I deleted the answer with a link, the shill left it got a warning with a date after this post, so no additional actions at the moment.

I have some possibly BG shillers on my watchlist but haven't made any reports due to the reason that some of their shill posts have already been moved to the "Incentivized Posting" boards. However, some posts have slipped past the mods and remained unnoticed. For example, take a look at this user, Closeup (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=profile;u=100358).
What should we do in this situation? And shouldn't these post already be trashed? Question for Jokers & Freemind. Needed some advice!

For your information, it is free. . Second, the important thing is that I was lucky to find a way to double the coins. But I don't know if it's a profit or a scam. I'll get into the subject. Yesterday, I downloaded a program on my computer to double my Bitcoin. I had 0.25 BTC, so I said to myself, why don't I try it? So I tried it once. One day, when I woke up, I found 1.57 BTC. I was honestly shocked. I went to my friend Elena and told her to hurry up and double the Bitcoin. She had about 13 BTC, so I insisted that I double two Bitcoins. She accepted the request one day, and we were shocked that her value was doubled to 8 BTC, which made a total of 21 BTC. My friend was very happy, but I warned her of one thing: that she not double the order again because the multiplier only works well the first time. That means that after that day, I decided to double it again. But I didn't receive any double. Luckily, I doubled my 0.25 BTC. I now only have 1.5 BTC. Despite this, I thank them sincerely. I understand what you're talking about, Lucius. The truth is, for some time now, whenever I see a new thread where a new account talks about BG, I almost always do the same thing, I close the thread (sometimes leaving a post in case the OP wants to contact me), but I don't delete the posts, as there are usually posts from other users that could be helpful. The only way I can think of to prevent this spam would be to take tougher measures, which sooner or later would end up being paid for by users who are not to blame for anything related to this problem.

In any process, someone innocent can get hurt, but I don't think that in this specific case we can accuse someone of being a shill by accident. What should be done is to issue only one warning, and after that issue a permanent ban - this would at least reduce the number of shills on the forum because they use their accounts as long as they are allowed to do so.

In theory, and for the purposes of that board, those types of posts are not allowed, as far as I understand. Anyway, I'll check with the administrator and see what he says.
Thanks for letting me know anyway, I don't visit that board often.

Not when the sole reason is to shill an exchange no, that's not helpful imo. It's as misleading as all the othery shillery.
Added to Misbehaving + shill group as clearly only here for one thing, posts #Trashed. +1 good catch

The oblivious ones should be banned. But for the rest of the accused (probably innocent), we have the mods for that don't we? And even if someone was mistakenly accused, if he really were innocent he wouldn't be caught the 2nd time. But what I have noticed, most of the users that we are reporting, already has multiple strikes, and doesn't care about the warnings. So I guess we are on the right track, no innocent is being harmed!
Anyway, I have been meaning to ask this for quite some time! Do you guys think that the shilling has decreased relatively compared to the past? I see fewer and fewer shillers these days, especially the newer ones.

I guess so, probably due to continuous reporting and their posts being moved to trash. These accounts must be handled by a few users, in my opinion, which is why they notice the reporting, take a break, and come back in other ways.

This is more or less the idea. I usually warn first and then give shill badge, strike + misbehaving, so all posts are moderated. If that fails, then 3 strikes or UR prevents them from posting.
Usually in misbehaving shills give up, as mods (generally speaking, with rare exceptions) don't approve their posts to be seen on the forum.
If they are 100% only here for shilling, then I just put them straight in misbehaving with shill badge as much simpler these days.

Correct, was previously warned twice. Added to shill, 2 strikes and misbehaving. Sent penalty notice and #trashed posts.
This is why I don't bother with two warnings prior to moderation, because it always leads to moderation with shills. Then new account etc.

It doesn't seem to me that there are fewer compared to before, because if you look back 30 days and look at any month of last year, I think you will find similar numbers of reports. It may seem to you that there are fewer of them, but the fact is that they are constantly adapting and looking for ways to avoid detection.

These shills may be persistent, but they're definitely not intelligent enough. In this specific case, he exposed himself with a completely meaningless sentence. I'm glad there will be at least one less alt farm ;)

I just think we all spend too much time on this kind of stuff, or give these shills too many warnings, instead of resolving it quickly and decisively. I know that the forum rules are currently like this, so we will have to be consistent if we want any success in this matter.

Yes, they can't be stopped, but we may tighten the rules. For example, if the user receives two warnings, then the user may be eligible for a temporary or permanent ban instead of waiting for the third and further. Also, here we have a rule like only one account per person, unlike Bitcoin Talk, where multiple accounts are allowed. So how does the admin find the abusers of multiple accounts? Just via IP...

I just think we all spend too much time on this kind of stuff, or give these shills too many warnings, instead of resolving it quickly and decisively. I know that the forum rules are currently like this, so we will have to be consistent if we want any success in this matter.
Tbf moderating users generally misbehaving is very much determined and influenced by the GM team rather than anything else, specifically Freemind, Jokers and myself. These days admin practices more of a "hands off" approach - as opposed to guiding this as he did previously - because in fairness the three of us have a lot more experience moderating the forum than him (in the same way admin has infinite more experience administrating the forum than the three of us). There's nothing specifically in the rules that determines any of this, there are simply a set mod guidelines. However these guidelines and only guidelines, they are not a rule of law, and only written by myself based on what had become defacto processes.
Fundamentally there are different strategies that the three of us use, from the number of warnings before being moderated/banned from posting, or otherwise the membership groups used to do this. So while it might seem inconsistent, this is how its supposed to work. Having a diversity of strategies and severities of punishments with the balance being somewhere in the middle, as opposed to some hard-coded way to deal with users generally. Granted there was a time when admin wanted us to deal with situations specifically based on what he believed was the best course of action, but it's been a longtime since we ignored that and moved on with what's actually best for forum along with use of our time :)
For example I'd say freemind is the softer of the three of us (as you'd expect from a President, because there is a higher level of responsibility to the community etc, and others were no different, myself included), while Jokers is more iron fist approach, which I've also drifted further towards myself in recent years. So in summary, these "inconsistencies" are somewhat intention. This is so that the forum is moderated organically driven by those involved in doing so, rather than by some sort of line that we all have to tow, or specific individual (admin/president/judge) that determines how things "should" be done, regardless of our own individual opinions and beliefs in what works best.
dragononcrypto, looks like Misbehaving group works for premoderation not everywhere on the forum?
Indeed, I've suspected this for a while and asked admin about it but he's not entirely sure either. I don't even see the unapproved posts (only the airdrops section for some strange reason), I had admin remove it from my account when pres as was always seeing all the 3 strikes at the time which was becoming a headache, and it never returned after that lol.
Anyway, i can use test account (http://dragonvslinux) to do some tests, so maybe worth creating a topic in mod section or PM me to check these things, ie given a bunch of sections to test out. I do otherwise see mods approve posts from misbehaving in the logs from time to time, but it's not often, and usually for the right reasons (ie, the posts isn't shilling).

In the first case, CrypFurt, I don't think it's entirely clear after reviewing the user's posts, so I guess we should give him the benefit of the doubt for now, since it also has no warnings. Anyway, I'll add him to my list and see how it goes.
In the case of Metaintrader, there are more obvious elements, such as an image, that reference the exchange we're already familiar with. However, since there are no confirmed warnings yet, I'll delete two posts and add this user to my list.
