D mod introduced - 29/04/2025 👨‍💼
* Decentralized Team Moderator (D mod) introduced for certain D team members after applications were made and candidates selected.
* It's somewhere between a Jnr Mod and Full Mod, maybe a Half Mod, with ability to issue warnings to users but not edit or move posts.

Community Awards Winners - 28/04/2025 ⬅️

* Executive order from our 6th President for a new membership group for account farms

President & Vice President inauguration - 16/04/2025 ⬅️
* Freemind inaugurated as 6th President, Jokers as 5th Vice President.

Yellow icon from profiles removed - 15/04/2025 ✅
* Admin has removed the yellow icon from local mods and newly teleported, it remains only for under review and inactive/rebound email accounts.

6th Presidential election - 07/04/2025 ✅
* Snap election in the senate, early majority for Freemind and Jokers as VP at 8/15 votes. Awaiting inauguration by admin.

Zero-knowledge Membership - 02/04/2025 ⬅️
* Zero-knowledge Membership is launched. Users can now signup to the forum via signed messages on Ethereum, with Bitcoin support intended for later.

Karma requirement for rank promotions- 24/03/2025 🛠️
* In late 2024, the Forum Senate discussed karma requirements for ranks as part of a first phase of proposal. Having explored and voted on 5 different options, the senate then voted between two different proposal. The proposal was shared with the community to discuss and vote on.
* In March 2025, the proposal was then returned to the senate, with the exemption of demotions, which passed with 12/15 votes. It is currently pending admin implementation.

* Initiative from President for +3 karma for good quality new topics with karma bonuses for top topic starters per month.

Moving Karma and avoiding abuse - 17/11/2024 👨‍💼
* Initiative from President for the remainder of the year for D team members and others reporting users misbehaving.
* Includes karma bonuses for reporting users in the Decentralized Team section.

Karma associated to post - 24/10/2024 ⏳
* Previously discussed in one of the many topics regarding karma in the Suggestion Box.
* Admin has been testing this, no further developments at present.

Consolidatation of Cryptocurrency Ecosystem sections - 24/10/2024 ✅
* Previously discussed here and here in the Suggestion Box and proposed in the senate.
* The senate proposal was partly successful (2/3) and was implemented by admin a week later.
* The change merged numerous inactive sub-sections into parent sections and moved dead coins to Graveyard.

Karma limit after a single karma given - 16/10/2024 ⏳
* The issue was raised in Bugs & Tech section.
* No updates as of now.

AI detected badge introduced - 04/09/2024 ⬅️
* Artificial Intelligence badge introduced for users who use AI to write their posts.
* The badge costs $2 worth of ALTT tokens to have removed.

I haven't seen this proposal in the Senate, at least not since I was voted into that membership. I've looked at some previous discussions now, but I haven't found anything about it (Forum's Senate board).
It would not be bad to have accurate statistics, but I think that there are other more priority things that will have a more direct impact on raising the quality of the forum.

I haven't seen this proposal in the Senate, at least not since I was voted into that membership. I've looked at some previous discussions now, but I haven't found anything about it (Forum's Senate board).

I seem to remember that the last thing that was talked about on this topic was to repeat the vote on that proposal so that users of a specific rank and above could vote. The problem is that many new accounts registered only to vote against that proposal.

Only just noticed your comment, but planning on going with a final proposal in senate soon enough... just been busy lately.

It'd be based on non-restrospective karma requirements for ranks, so nobody loses ranks over it, but ranking up difficulty increases in the future...

Overall its probably the fairer option and the only one that admin is will to get behind anyway, if it's even possible to implement that is.

the karma rank rule will not affect your account, post count is a rule that applies from the first day of the forum. also, all current users would keep their rank, regardless of the number of karma points.

there probably won't be a rank demote, except in extreme cases, but in that case, karma rank means nothing. it will probably be the moderator's reaction.

I currently have fewer than 250 karma required for legendary rank, so technically, I should be demoted to Hero under the new karma system, isn't that how it works?

The karma requirements will directly effect existing users. It will be a requirement to rank up, only users won't be demoted for lacking the current requirement. Same as btt when it happened basically, ie not done retrospectively. Obviously no karma airdrop as we are not starting from scratch on karma here, there is already plenty distributed, more than enough for all high quality users to rank up without delays, as many are simply lacking activity requirements.

No. You would remain Legendary to put if simply, per above. This was the initial proposal, discussed with the community, that has been replaced by non-retrospective implementation.

I hope that clears things up, even if there are still some minor details to factor in (as examplens has already addressed). Will keep users posted on developments either way.

No Karma airdrop? What about teleported users?

should a legendary account from BTT teleported here they should have a default 250 karma in the new Karma rules except the new Karma rules would stop the teleporting process.
